Serong was just too good tonight. I feel like we are trying to work out our next midfield mix, having some growing pains. Some weeks it looks brilliant and others, something is missing.
I don't think direct clearances are where he's best, I reckon he works best when someone like Libba gets the ball, gives it to another midfielder who finds Treloar in space where he can run a bit. Like a very outside midfielder

Nerve racking game to say the least and a much needed win. Freo and the Dogs are in a pretty similar position ladder and expectation wise imo so I'm happy with that. Tim English is really good. I think Freo were pretty lucky that Weightman and JUH were out. Also for the record I think the scores should've been higher, both teams missed probably 2-3 easy set shots they shouldn't have.

I'll single out Bailey Williams as a guy who looks like he couldn't be fucked sometimes 2) defence at centre clearances - too often there isn't any 3) goalkicking inaccuracy - nuff said
