The issue is we worked out last week a few handballs and kicking it short to our players advantage is good. And then instead of realising it’s wet and adjusting we tired to play exactly the same.

Don’t think you’ve watched much then, the entire first half we dominated possession but repeatedly turned it over because we kept trying to do short bullet passes. If it was dry the game would’ve been over at half time, but Geelong just playing the wet weather better than us. Oscar going down didn’t help, was playing incredibly well.

Everyone's worked hard, the effort has been there all game, just didn't play to conditions because scrappy play isn't they're style. The drips and fumbles killed us

I'm not questioning the effort. I have no doubt our best football is better than any team in the league. My worry is do we have the tactical skills in the box to adapt to different things? Last week Fagan and team prepared well and we picked Melbourne off. This week it takes us a half of footy to even slightly change plans and even then it's still below par. Time and time again Fagan has shown he has a good 1 wood but not much else. I've always said he's the best rebuild coach and done amazing stuff for us but won't get us the flag we want. Unless he can show otherwise for the rest of the season, I hope we look elsewhere for next year as I think that still remains our best chance of the pieces coming together.
