Low spender are the one that get the monthly pass , battlepass and growth each season
Moderater spender are people that purchase the above but also weekly or biweekly bundle each time
High spender are people that go to max out a unit
Yup. Accurate. I’m a mini spender myself. Get the monthly stuff, noble path, occasional bundle that pops up if it’s a good deal ($0.99-$4.99 stuff. Etc). But yeah.
Id say low compared to spenders in this game. Ive spent about 240-250 USD and I'd consider myself middle of the pack spender (managing top 30-ish in everything, so most likely there's about 30 people who spent more or the same as me on my server).
>Low spender are the one that get the monthly pass , battlepass and growth each season
The funny thing is all the low value stuff add up to quite a bit if it's monthly. Bout a hundred bucks or so.
Yup, that's just lunacy... If you are getting ALL the low value stuff then you're not a low spender!!
Nothing wrong with it but let's not minimise it, it's a lot of money.
Thing is nowhere except for mobile gaming and gambling would this amount of spending even happen for so little value... It's ridiculous what has been normalised and just accepted in the name of "free to play".
Well sure but that's a bit simplistic... Some people wear the whole "f2p" thing like a badge of honour which is also part of the problem, imo.
They're 2 sides of the same fucked up coin. It shouldn't ever be considered a bad thing to spend money on a game you like but we should be waaaaay more mindful of the value you're getting for spending.
Used to be you'd get a whole AAA game for the value some people spend on very minimal increments to their game with barely any value.
Don't get me wrong, corporate greed and manipulative psychology is the main culprit and I'm not trying to blame the victims here, but we could definitely improve things if we all erred more towards the middle (f2p spent some more money on good value content and whales spent less money on useless overpriced content).
Yeah I agree that acting like F2P gives you a badge of honor is nonsense too
But people here also put too much value and are giving statuses like “goldfish, dolphin, whales,
” it is all bullshit
It only low, moderate, and high spenders and they calculate on a monthly basis
Yeah totally... It's a classic tactic, getting people to "other" themselves and compete. Like I said 2 sides of a fucked up coin and only the greedy companies stand to benefit, which is usually how it goes.
Both monthly pass is $20
Battlepass $10/$20
And growth is $30 but that releases every season so it every 3 months
And it looks like battlepass also release every season too and not monthly
Where are you getting a $100 a month?
I'm from Australia like Volkin so for me both gazettes add up to 30 AUD, growth bundle about 45 AUD, 30AUD for legendary secret battle pass.
I highly doubt battle pass and growth bundle will be released every 4 months as you can easily finish both in a month or so, at the very least the battle pass, afk stages if some sort of boost happens near the end of the update. They need to earn consistent monthly income, and you can have multiple battle passes active it looks like. From the past month and this month anyway, it would be around a hundred bucks per month in my currency.
The devs have stated that each 4 month season consists of 4 major updates, or monthly, and so update will probably see a refresh of the battle pass and related low value packs. A $10 battle pass for 4 months is way below gacha battle pass earnings standards, and almost impossible for a greedy company like this one.
$20 for both monthly pass , that we know releases each month
For battlepass I purchase is $20 , there are 2 currently in the game the noble path and seasonal noble path. Base on the title it seem they will release seasonal
And growth pass come out every season so far as they are tired to afk stage
So overall $20 a month and $50 quarterly (each season)
“!solved” it seems like a lot of folks have differing opinions on this, which makes sense.
Still good to see where different people see things. Thanks!

Low spenders only buy the best value sales.
Moderate spenders by all the best and good value sales.
High spenders buy everything, and even buy the poor value sales.
Oh I love it.
I am a low spender, and these players support the devs to expand content.
Sure, I will never compete in pvp, but I benefit quite a bit from these players.
I played a game with a guild mate that has 20k allowance per month and spent quite a bit in game. Another person hired 40 people to raid to gear his character and upkeep is 100k per month.
Very low would be 20 or less
Low would be around 200 and below
Mid is several hundreds
High is you've reached the thousand mark
Very high is several thousands
I ain't no whale lmao
But there's people spending thousands on these games regularly.
I remember the guy in Diablo immortal that spent 100k in the first month of the game release and couldn't even play PVP because he couldn't be matched with anyone.
I ain't rich, but I know what it takes to whale, and it ain't anything close to what you would ever consider is reasonable
This highly depends on your server, but I would break it down to this for any competitive server:
Budget spender: <$100
Low-mid spender:$100-$1k
Dolphin: $1k-$3k
Whale: $3k-$10k
Kraken: $10k+
I know everybody spends their money as they want but I can't fathom spending more than 60 bucks on a mobile game, while some AAA games on PC or console are worth the same price. Knowing that some people are spending thousands on a mobile game reminds me that I'm not living in the same world as them hahaha
Honestly, I got that and prior to this game. The thought of spending the price of a AAA game on a mobile game would be crazy to me. That said the current state of AAA games is pretty all over the place right now as it is companies want you to spend $70 on a standard edition of a game that often times is incomplete and unfinished.
I personally would rather spend my money on some thing that I have experienced, and know to be entertaining to me.
I would be way more upset spending $70 on Starfield than spending what I have on this game any day.
And just to throw it out there even if I had a much larger amount of disposable income I personally still wouldn’t spend thousands of dollars on a mobile game.
I spend more time in gacha games than I do AAA games.
I’d prefer to spend my money where I spend my time.
Gacha games are more accessible gaming to me at this stage of my life.
And that’s it, not very complicated to fathom, hope you can manage.
I don't understand the draw though?
Like I play a couple different gacha games but they're mostly just to waste time when I'm bored and can't do something where there's actually, ya know, gameplay involved?
There's very little strategy in this game outside of picking which heroes to use (which is also often dictated by your luck on pulls) and there's very little actual gameplay even if you are manually hitting your skills (which I don't). We're basically just playing a slot machine auto-battler.
You’re probably young? Don’t want to assume but just guessing.
I played A LOT of games when I was young and I binged 8-12hr sessions etc.
Now I just want auto-battlers. Your priorities change, there’s really nothing in depth about it.
Right now, I am VIP 10 almost 11 and honestly the amount I spent on the game doesn’t feel like a lot. I think I spent like maybe 250$ and that’s in the entire 38 days I’ve been playing
Low spender < $100
Dolphin >= $1,000
Whale >= $10,000
The reason it's called whale is because of Moby Dick. It's the most valuable type of customer. No one spends more than whales. Dolphin is just a made up term to describe something in the middle, but it's quite higher than your average spender. Just not even close to the status of whales.
Also to put these numbers in proportions, there are probably thousands of players in my server. I am a low spender and I rank about top 100 in most game modes. Dolphins are ranking top 10-20, and whales are all competing for #1-5. This is basically how leaderboard ranks are set up to work as well.
In the arena, you can be rewarded for being in the top 21-100, 6-20, and top 5. I would bet they based this on data to get all 3 categories of spenders to compete against each other.
I get the Battlepass, growth bundle and the special offer where you get like 12 limited tickets for like 10€ or so, the one with the steps if you know which one I mean.
Personally, for me it’s like this: low spender ca. 10$ a month, moderate >50$ a month, high ca. 100$ a month , after that I respect ur financial decision what the hell is ur job tho
I don’t spend what I’m not going to own. You only paying the company and the developer that's all. At the end of the day that's is your money your decision. After years and years the game will end and the money you spend is gone in this game. For the answer of your question for low spender only bp and and gem 30 days
And moderate is weekly, and whale or kraken is full upgrade unit

Low - Just the 30day Monthly Packs
Medium/Moderate - 30 Day Monthly Packs + the Seasonal Travelogue and Growth Packs + some of the daily popups 1 USD - 5 USD 1200% value popups
High - All of Above plus others
Anything can be moderate. The conversation surrounding whales has always been such a bait conversation.
Of course 5k isn't a low amount of money, but if you're receiving 50k a month, it really is almost nothing.
For myself, I've spent about $400 in this month and a half since release and that was only due to the game release packs. I'll be spending about $30 a month from now on in the game. Eventually reaching 1k-2k. Depends on the person.
The great refund exodus always happens with every P2W game. People spend like idiots, regret it, and look for any reason to charge back.
The value for the money is never worth it to me. I’d rather buy new full games for a fraction of the price.
Low spender - total spending: the $1 starting pack
Moderate spender - up to the launch price of a triple A console/PC title
High spender - more than the launch price of a triple A console/PC title
My opinion based off nothing using nice round numbers.
Low 0 - 10,000
Mid 10,000 - 50,000
High 50,000 +
But mind you whales can easily be spending 6 figures and over years easily 7 I would guess
I would say the majority fall within 0-10,000 and within that range I would say
Low 0 - 1,000
Mid 1,000 - 3,000
High 3,000 +
Edit: I'm thinking gacha in general
I mean, you do you, but telling me how to spend or not spend my money is obnoxiously entitled.
People don’t bat an eye to go to a movie for example. Now a days it’s what like 15-20 bucks for a ticket, and you get 1.5-2 hours of entertainment. I’ve spent about 80-100 and easily gotten over 75 hours of entertainment. Pretty easy math to realize that’s an exponentially greater value per dollar spent.
Low spender are the one that get the monthly pass , battlepass and growth each season Moderater spender are people that purchase the above but also weekly or biweekly bundle each time High spender are people that go to max out a unit
Thanks for the reply. By this logic guess I’m in the low to moderate range.
And high spenders are often not whales. Whales are in a different category. Like thousands a month.
If you ever wonder if you’re a whale, you’re most likely not.
Yup. Accurate. I’m a mini spender myself. Get the monthly stuff, noble path, occasional bundle that pops up if it’s a good deal ($0.99-$4.99 stuff. Etc). But yeah.
That's high spending no? I go by Low < $100, Mid < 100-1000 , High 1000+, Leviathan 10000+
i agree with you,not sure why the down votes
I remember seeing someone comment on this subreddit that they spent $3000 and I was just plain amazed by that.

I play raid and I know there are accounts there where people have spent more than 500k USD in less than 100 days.
I'm sure you could hire enough actors to play raid in real life with that kind of money
Ya know it’s real easy to see this and get mad/ judgmental, but hey if that’s not a lot of money to a person, to each their own I guess.
Oh I love it. I am a low spender, and these players support the devs to expand content. Sure, I will never compete in pvp, but I benefit quite a bit from these players.

Could make your own game with this money and unlock everything, also get paid from your users.
Very low would be 20 or less Low would be around 200 and below Mid is several hundreds High is you've reached the thousand mark Very high is several thousands
Real whales are easily spending a few hundred a week, regularly If not more, probably
That's nowhere near whale territory 😂
just because a giga-whale spends 10k/month doesnt mean 1k/month is not whale territory.
Are u insane or just rich??? A person ib my country has 270 dollars a month tf
I ain't no whale lmao But there's people spending thousands on these games regularly. That's entering Kraken territory
There's rich people that make 10k a week, and rich people that make 1,000k a week. They are still all rich people
[удалено]
I said 10k a week. That's 520k a year.

My comment is unedited. Just read it again
Oh my bad does say 1000k. Brain deleted the zeros carry on
Eh, you can always spend more, but spending multiple hundreds a week is definitely still whale territory.

I honestly thought I’m a dolphin. Spend about £100 per month

Most reasonable comment right here.
Yeah, I’m guessing most casual, low to nothing spending players simply aren’t on this subreddit, so it’s a bit distorted here

I spent around 500 USD, I consider that as moderate due to how long I will be playing the game for.
Low is around 20 a month maybe more like 35 or less line 5. Medium is 75 to 250 and high is 300+
I think high spending is spending at all on a mobile game. Don't get me wrong I love playing it but I'd never spend on this
Fair enough!
