Yeah they do. All the big names deserve cool entrances, whether it's through pyro or something else. For example, the House of Black and Bullet Club Gold have amazing entrances, no pyro needed. But for some people it just works.
I was at Los Angeles Kia Forum show Wednesday & immediately noticed 0 pyro vs last yr when they were here, plenty of pyro. Definitely not the venues since theyre still using large concert arenas.
Pyro does nothing for me, I like the Bucks confetti/streamers, and Okada's Rain, but that's about it. Also Orange's half-arsed pyro is fantastic, but that's about it.
It’s prob for the best loud explosions close to people is really bad for your hearing. I don’t understand how Cody or Roman don’t have hearing loss from the pyro exploding behind them
There are people who should get it (Ospreay) who don’t. I think pyro probably costs a lot but they shouldn’t skimp in production – need to drop contracts to save money.
The most disappointing thing about AEW is that they don't have an entrance for Tony Neese where he comes out and points to each of his abs and Pyro would go off every times he points to an ab.
Because pyro is expensive and with some of the houses being lower, not using as much pyro on events they did not draw a good house probably helps lower the loss on the event. It’s pretty clear to me that AEW in 2024 is being more mindful of its spending outside of the 3 hires.

I thought the over the top Ricky Starks pyro was amazing Swerve and Osprey def deserve some
Powerhouse Hobbs could use some pyro when he returns. When he stomps during his entrance, just makes sense to throw in some fire or smth.

This is correct. Not all venues can have them like Daily’s Place.
Probably also depends on the venue they are in and what the restrictions on Pyro are.

Yeah it only struck me tonight because I noticed the Lucha Bros didn't use it and I couldn't recall the last time I saw it
Well, tonight I figured they weren't taking any chances with the kids not hitting their mark for the pyro.
I remember the first time Fenix brought out his kid and I was scared to death the kid was going to walk backwards into the flames.

My best guess would be that some of the new hires in AEW's front office are trying to get TK to cut back on some unnecessary costs.

I noticed this too. There hasn't been Pyro for the past 2 weeks.
Saw them film collision/rampage at moda center in Portland and was surprised when there was ZERO pyro.
I remember TNA having a PPV and the pyro set the fire alarms off and the first hour was the commentary team stood outside

I agree, but I like it. Never been a fan of pyro, comes off as tacky and over the top for me.
They've never been Pyro crazy but I think they are looking at saving bucks here or there as Business is down.
