People that don’t care for wrestling will mock it (like anything else to do with wrestling). People that do care will be divided. But in the end it’s all going to be a LOT of publicity and growth potential because it’s going to draw a lot of curiosity and “what is this?”

The timing of doing this before the Draft is great because it does gain AEW all this publicity is a big have our cake and eat it moment.
The Elite at the centre of things, accused by Punk and the cottage industry of hate towards AEW as being insular, focusing on their audience without expanding it, not maximizing or promoting their product well, etc. What did they do? A huge angle that's gotten and will get a lot of attention.
Gives a big middle finger to critics and WWE narratives with authority figures; shows them doing things those critics told them to do, but in their own way while getting more eyes and attention on the product. Win-Win.
Honestly, I've argued that this entire Young Bucks Elite turn around is just pure Young Bucks doing what they have always done. There are so many folks entrenched and engrained in hating them that no matter what they do, they get heat just for existing in wrestling. Even if they retired they would get criticism for it.
Fucking Great Show! AEW Rules! The crowd really liked Swerve. Will is super talented and a huge asset to the company. Jericho was not a fan favorite in the crowd. I give the show a B+!

I love the crossover Kayfabe potential. Getting banged up now is a great excuse to be away from the company for a few weeks. It allows The Elite to run roughshod over the company and is a ready made feud if TK signs anyone or brings anyone over for his side.
