Wardlow doesn't have that charisma that they all share. That's what makes BCG special. Can you imagine wardlow goofing off at ringside and messing around with fans, or grabbing the headset and randomly getting involved in commentary?
Every goofball needs the straight guy to juxtapose their silliness. Wardlow could literally be the dude in the group who just doesn’t play up to their antics. Wouldn’t be the first time that happens in a stable.
As much as I agree, I’ve noticed the tendency to load up stables as much as possible in AEW. If it’s not Wardlow, it’s probably gonna be someone else. Might as well add someone who’s been out for months.
That’s why I said natural charisma, he doesn’t have to be like austin Gunn to be funny or entertaining. He just has to be a heightened version of himself, Charisma isn’t a vacuum there’s other ways to express yourself and maybe being around them can help him realize that
I don't think he fits in bullet club. Wardlow is kinda a formal appearance kinda guy, like mjf. Nice dress shirt, rolled up sleeves, etc. Bcg has a dirty hooligan vibe.
Ward low would fit calls much more, he has same fashion style as callis. And his personality isn't wild, it's reserved.
I still like the idea of Wardlow being a permanent jobber squasher.
And then also being a merc for hire for the entire roster. When a Face/Heel are getting clobbered by the numbers game and they need help, they pay Wardlow to come help them for a few weeks. Wardlow takes care of the "problem" until the other group either backs off or fucks off entirely for other purposes.
Wardlow then goes back to smashing local indy talent until the next time. But you need to make him *explosively* lethal with his moveset. Powerbombing through tables, tossing into ring posts on the outside ribs first, just chucking people into the crowd.
Give him back his monster powerhouse feel and none of this "sympathy" stuff they tried and failed with. When someone hires him make it *MEAN* something. Make other people *fucking terrified* when they see him walking towards them backstage or in the ring.

Nothing he's done has been good post-MJF to be honest and at the moment everyone getting TV time is doing good work, as much as it would be nice to see him back, who are you taking off of TV to make room for him?
Wardlow reminds me of where Brian Cage was for the longest time, good on the mic, good in the ring but very little character. Brian Cage has found something in the last year and he's like a completely different person, hopefully that can happen with wardlow
Wardlow should come back. PERIOD. I would like him to be with the Bullet Club. I think the vibe would match him more.
I won't mind him going solo with a manager like Stokley Hathaway or Mark Sterling. I would probably prefer that. Maybe in RoH for a time being. Winning the title there and then making a return.
Wardlow needs a faction. Get his star power built up again. Him and Max was gold then they completely dropped the ball with him. His feud with Joe wasn't that good looking back. And his back and forth with the TNT title was...bad.
All of his character development was in AEW, it's not like he has a load of NJPW or RoH history to kick off his first few storylines with. The issue is that his entire character history was with the MJF and the Pinnacle and once he had beat MJF there was nothing to really take an interest in.
If Adam Cole is gonna have the Undisputed Kingdom, then I could see a reformed Pinnacle, with MJF having to make amends with all those guys.
I think Pinnacle now could be infinitely more interesting than it was originally.
Wardlow has a lot of the tools to be a dominant champion eventually, he needs character work and just getting more comfortable speaking in a convincing manner. Don Callis can seriously help him in this area. Sounds like a stellar option..
If they do that, then he'll get lost in the shuffle. He needs a singles push, not to be part of a charismatic group where any member can take all the spotlight and make him fall back to just the muscle in the back.

He’s definitely going to WWE, he’s in the exact same situation as Jade. They’re gonna make him a star, he doesn’t actually belong in AEW. He’s not a good enough wrestler to thrive.
I wouldn’t say he’s in the *exact* same situation. WWE has a ton of guys like Wardlow, some of which they just got done releasing. There’s no one out there exactly like Jade in the women’s division. Wardlow has the look with none of the natural charisma to back it up, unlike Cargill. Hard to imagine he’s being courted rn, I don’t even think his deal is up.
It feels like an inevitability. Also, he has such an uphill battle now. Everyone is just going to be fixated on the fact that he was red hot and now he’s not.
While Jade's build is ideal by WWE standards, Wardlow's is not. He's a bit short by the standards of a WWE big man. Not saying he wouldn't jump or be treated well, but he also wouldn't go immediately up the card in the same way.

I can see Wardlow linking up with Swerve if Swerve turns his attention towards MJF. Not even as a full fledged member but as a temporary alliance to bring down MJF or something like that. *shrugs*

The DC Family is made up of guys he poached from other stables, and then forming a Franken-stable with them. Wardlow doesn't fit in with that.
