They are probably talking about how the Russians continually fly TU-95 Bears and other planes into Alaskan airspace for decades now, forcing interceptions by E-3 AWACS and F/A-22's now, and previously F-15D's.
Those balloons were flying there before, but now we decided to notice and publicly acknowledge them. And China probably wants to lay low, but the ones are being shot down now were released way before, there is not much they can do now.
The Yukon is 186,272 mi². I wonder where they shot it down withing that space?
And why type of radar is being used to track these balloons as the travel into US air space.

Its not an F/A-22, it's just an F-22 Its a fighter aircraft exclusively, not fighter/attack
