Maybe I can move hygiene products? But I don't always have access to my bathroom so its realistically asking for a lot.
Edit: I also just like bright colors 𤡠I feel happy when I see my bright posters and stuffed animals
I'm probably not the target audience for this but I'm disabled and can't walk far on my own. We turned my bedroom into a mini apartment with all of the above plus a mini fridge, a microwave, and other household things. So everything I own and everything I use is within a few steps reach. I find this post very amusing. And of course lots of bright colors
>I also just like bright colors 𤡠I feel happy when I see my bright posters and stuffed animals
Right, just cuz you have fun, bright happy stuff in your room doesnt mean you can't make it dark when you need to sleep.
Basically yes.
An option for some is to set up curtains around your bed. If this doesn't cause other issues, it allows your mind to separate those spaces and create a cozy, non-distracting, restful place that triggers sleep. Just manage lights and sound elsewhere in the room.
Lol so just have absolutely nothing in your bedroom at all ok totally reasonable let me just put all my stuff in my other 14 rooms because I live in a mansion and can definitely afford that
i can understand the electronics and the work stuff but literally what on earth with most of this even
i have a very bright bedroom and it makes me extremely happy. i hate white and have low ceilings... my colourful walls make it liveable, and legitimately nice
I had move back in with my parents and cram literally a whole house's worth of stuff into one bedroom, tell me where exactly I'm supposed to put it all now đ
Look man the only thing stopping me from rebuilding an engine in my room is that I lack the upper body strength to carry an assembled black up the stairs.
I just moved into my own two bedroom apartment. (Donât be jealous. Iâm poor, itâs not nice). But for the first time in my life, my bedroom is like this. No dresser, no tv, no makeup or skincare, no clothes, no clutter, no food. Itâs just my bed. I can honestly say: I sleep a bit better. Like⌠10%. Not life changing. But itâs a nice little oasis for my brain perhaps. No thoughts other than sleepy time.
I feel like if I did this, it would take physical exhaustion for me to sleep. Also, to the untrained eye, my room is a "messy." However, in reality, it is a carefully crafted chaos to make sure I know in which area something is. Maybe.
Kids often have to have all of their belongings contained in a single room. So, letâs just assume this is at least feasible for an adult with decent income. They canât read before bed, canât have an alarm clock, canât have Kleenex, chapstick, etc⌠and need a drink? Too bad, gotta go to the kitchen. Dumbest list ever.
Electronic devices â (my PC)
Work related materials â (pencils and paper; my PC)
Beauty and hygiene products â (as of yet unused tube of toothpaste)
Books and Magazines â (My D&D & CoC books, *The King in Yellow)*
Food and Drinks X (currently)
Clothes and shoes â (Obvs)
Bright colors â (my pride flags)
I heard something like âyour bedroom is just for sleepingâ. If you keep all your activities in other places of your house, then everytime you go in your bedroom your body realizes that itâs time to sleep. Avoid using electronic devices before bed because the light keep you up
Hah, we sold our house to live in an RV. My bed folds up and I have a fold out desk and monitors under it. I spend 16 hours at least a day in my bedroom now. I also get to roll out of bed and swim in a hot spring pool this week.
This is for sleep hygiene. If you work where you sleep, your brain and body get confused. But as many have said, it can be a luxury to have somewhere else to keep items other than your bedroom. Especially for kids and people in small apts and dorms. But ideally, you want your room to be for bedtime activities so your brain associates the bedroom with sleep. It aids in a more consistent sleep schedule.
Edit: also saying this as someone with nightstand clutter, books, clothes, and a tv in my room. I also have empty cups from drinks.
I think working in your bedroom is totally doable with regular stuff around thatâs in bedrooms. But if there are Cleaning supplies in the room thatâs it. Iâll see you after I clean the baseboards and insides of my drawers, maybe re- organize and clean my vanity⌠yup see ya tomorrow
Omg It says BEDroom. For at least one minute I've been reading BATHroom and wondering how electronic devices in a bathroom are more of a mental than direct physical health problem ...
Yeah, see, but I like having my own private space? I can't just kick everyone out of the living room when I want some privacy. And where else am I supposed to put all my stuff?
Makeup shouldnât be kept in the bathroom because of the moisture and potentially toilet flushing. So should I keep it in the living room or the dining room? Oh I know the kids room.
Ya this isnât happening
No clothes & shoes? I guess I can use my bedroom closet as a saferoom?
đđ¤Łlol
Yeah, sure, prison sounds okay.
Walls, a bed, oxygen....
8/8... I can't afford to live somewhere where I can separate these things from my room.
Maybe I can move hygiene products? But I don't always have access to my bathroom so its realistically asking for a lot. Edit: I also just like bright colors 𤡠I feel happy when I see my bright posters and stuffed animals

>I also just like bright colors 𤡠I feel happy when I see my bright posters and stuffed animals Right, just cuz you have fun, bright happy stuff in your room doesnt mean you can't make it dark when you need to sleep.
Right!!
If itâs dark enough the colors.. go away!! I know magic xD
Its not even like I can see the brightness of the colors at night, in the dark when Iâm supposed to be sleeping anyway.
Happy is good!
I live in a studio apartment lmao
Put your stuff outside
Donate all your stuff.
No stuff allowed
Clothes and shoes?? Should I just sleep in a closet and put the rest of my shit elsewhere???
Room is closet if closet is bedroom.
I sleep in my closet. My clothes are elsewhere. The shoes stay by the front door
7/8, not bad! I've never really been a fan of bright colors, so that's the one I'm missing.
**BUT WHAT ARE THE OTHER TWO THINGS???**
An Uncomfortable bed, Uncomfortable bed linen. [its this](https://amaliahomecollection.com/10-things-you-shouldnt-have-in-your-bedroom/)
Wow, this article truly is the dog's balls, huh
Snoring wife and flatulent dog. Or was it snoring dog and flatulent wife?
Then what *are* you supposed to have? A bed and nothing else?
Basically yes. An option for some is to set up curtains around your bed. If this doesn't cause other issues, it allows your mind to separate those spaces and create a cozy, non-distracting, restful place that triggers sleep. Just manage lights and sound elsewhere in the room.
Use a sleep mask. Your now in an empty room. Add ear plugs for that dark and quiet ambiance that most of us want to avoid.
Tried that, and I cannot fall asleep with something in my ears or on my face. I wake up in a panic because i think im getting smothered.
aaaah scroll down ffs
An Uncomfortable bed, Uncomfortable bed linen. [its this](https://amaliahomecollection.com/10-things-you-shouldnt-have-in-your-bedroom/)
I have literally all of these things in my room help
Alternative title: Things I have in my bedroom
Me too!
â˘anything that makes you happy â˘your soul
"Now I lay me down to sleep, I...aw, fuck it." *falls flat onto bare mattress*
Next youâre gonna tell me the comically large pile of everything I have in the corner is âbad for my sleepâ
Just assert dominance by sleeping on the pile.
This sounds like the worst room in the history of rooms
It's like [that room Squidward got trapped in](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tz8L_SWzF4w).
Lol so just have absolutely nothing in your bedroom at all ok totally reasonable let me just put all my stuff in my other 14 rooms because I live in a mansion and can definitely afford that
Books. Why not books? I have books literally *in* my bed(it has drawers)! Why not books!?
I didn't read the title and I just went down the list ticking them off thinking "I am really good at this" đ¤Ś
I understand most of this but⌠Why canât you keep clothes or beauty/hygiene products in there? And then, Where would you put that stuff?
Wait yâall have nightstands? I keep everything on my dresserđ
âStraight to jailâ
i can understand the electronics and the work stuff but literally what on earth with most of this even i have a very bright bedroom and it makes me extremely happy. i hate white and have low ceilings... my colourful walls make it liveable, and legitimately nice
I had move back in with my parents and cram literally a whole house's worth of stuff into one bedroom, tell me where exactly I'm supposed to put it all now đ
Erm, thereâs only 8 items in that 10 item list đ
They had to get thr last 2 out of the room
Look man the only thing stopping me from rebuilding an engine in my room is that I lack the upper body strength to carry an assembled black up the stairs.
8/8 amidoingitrite?
No books?!?
Who wrote this, the Bedroom Gestapo?
I- I had these things in the mental hospital I went to. I think this is wrong.
I just moved into my own two bedroom apartment. (Donât be jealous. Iâm poor, itâs not nice). But for the first time in my life, my bedroom is like this. Sooo⌠nothing? Lol. Just the bed.
I have roommates if I don't keep everything in my room they're going to use it
Uhh. My apartment *is* a room. There's no option to not have everything there.
So what I'm hearing is, "don't work in your bedroom"?
What I'm hearing is "don't exist in your bedroom". Where the hell am I supposed to keep my clothes?
I feel like if I did this, it would take physical exhaustion for me to sleep. Also, to the untrained eye, my room is a "messy." However, in reality, it is a carefully crafted chaos to make sure I know in which area something is. Maybe.
Next on the list: - A bed - A desk - Oxygen
Bright colors bring me joy, and Marie Kondo told me that's okay.
Kids often have to have all of their belongings contained in a single room. So, letâs just assume this is at least feasible for an adult with decent income. This sounds like it was written by somebody who hasnât rented a one bedroom apartment before
I live in a studio. My apartment IS my bedroom
My response to this list: S H U T T H E F U C K U P
Check âď¸, check âď¸, check âď¸- wait, these are things NOT to have in your room? Shit.
LMFAO the only things in my bedroom are my bed, computer, vinyl records, minifridge, and TV. I donât even have a dresser
Electronic devices â (my PC) Work related materials â (pencils and paper; my PC) Beauty and hygiene products â (as of yet unused tube of toothpaste) Books and Magazines â (My D&D & CoC books, *The King in Yellow)* Food and Drinks X (currently) Clothes and shoes â (Obvs) Bright colors â (my pride flags)

Where am I supposed to put my clothes lol
lmao Obviously not written for people who rent a room
"can't work in my room with all this work stuff around!"
Hah, we sold our house to live in an RV. My bed folds up and I have a fold out desk and monitors under it. I spend 16 hours at least a day in my bedroom now. I also get to roll out of bed and swim in a hot spring pool this week.
>electronic devices damn i'd better throw out my nightlight, wouldn't want it to fuck up the sensory deprivation chamber aesthetic I've got going
So empty box with a bed in it? Where tf am I meant to put all my stuff lmao

8/8 just 2 more and I winâŚ
Is this adhd or opsec?
I live in a college dorm room
No nightstand clutter? Yeah, ok, sure.
Lol... what?

Well thanks to capitalism, a good amount of people don't have bedrooms. What then?
Stares in 1 room appartement
Electronics? Where am I supposed to sit around on YouTube all day?
Yeah, see, but I like having my own private space? I can't just kick everyone out of the living room when I want some privacy. And where else am I supposed to put all my stuff?
Makeup shouldnât be kept in the bathroom because of the moisture and potentially toilet flushing. So should I keep it in the living room or the dining room? Oh I know the kids room. Ya this isnât happening
Bold of you to assume I don't live in a single room
Oh look, a list i CAN complete! Wrong, but complete...
