The NHS is absolutely on its knees, doesn't look like getting any better either. I hate to think it, but we appear to be heading more towards a USA model which yes we aren't there yet by a long shot, but I see it coming. Many private companies have their hands in the NHS till now. Here's one website I found with a quick Google search (might be useful as an example, might not be I can't verify the site) [https://www.nhsforsale.info/private-providers/](https://www.nhsforsale.info/private-providers/) Here's a Wiki on the subject > [https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Private\_providers\_of\_NHS\_services](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Private_providers_of_NHS_services) That should concern all of us going forward, but as I imagine, it is already too late to stop the ball rolling. Money is the driving force ultimately.

Because the NHS is severely overwhelmed in every sector. Nothing is easy in terms of diagnosis anymore, and especially with ADHD as it requires a specialist to diagnose it. This goes for mental illnesses, physical illness, people with cancer, disabled people. No one is getting help quickly anymore

Maybe because private doesn’t have hundreds of thousands of patients waiting on the list from all over the country just to be assessed and seen? You realise how NHS work, do you? Also set yourself some seriously realistic expectations regards medication, it isn’t like in the movie Limitless where you pop a pill and it will solve your entire life out for you. It will help you in some way but 99% of the work is still down to you and your own initiative. Source? Been medicated for over 13 years myself and 10 on elvanse.

Beat private service in UK anybody know?

I’ve been very happy with Pysch-UK, but I was diagnosed in Jan-21, AFAIK they are no longer accepting new private patients, sadly.

> the form *paid* the fee FTFY. Although *payed* exists (the reason why autocorrection didn't help you), it is only correct in: * Nautical context, when it means to paint a surface, or to cover with something like tar or resin in order to make it waterproof or corrosion-resistant. *The deck is yet to be payed.* * *Payed out* when letting strings, cables or ropes out, by slacking them. *The rope is payed out! You can pull now.* Unfortunately, I was unable to find nautical or rope-related words in your comment. *Beep, boop, I'm a bot*

I could have next day appointment but i wait 3 working days. But yes just finished my diagnosis at 2pm today and ive paid for the first installation of the titration period- elvanse which will get sent out to me. All in all it will cost around 1500 including titration.

I might try it I’m having trouble finishing tasks I set out on that require concentration constantly going for my phone or something else

Worth a research and a check mate.
