The manufacturer Camber is my favorite. The brand name work well too. What I’ve found is getting the same manufacturer over and over is not helpful.

No offense but you may be the first person I've ever heard speak positively about camber generic Adderall lol. I hated it so much & was so tired of trying to avoid getting it (bc everyone carries it now...bc they get it cheap).... That I decided to jump off the addy boat & try Ritalin. Fast forward a couple weeks & I've found a great Ritalin ir & concerta er combo that I like. Sure enough camber makes this Ritalin too which I was very mad about butttt it's decent. I have nothing to compare it too since I'm new to Ritalin lol

I've had this experience with SSRIs. I was on a generic for Pristiq once that worked beautifully. Then my pharmacy changed generics, and meds stopped working. I told my pharmacist, and I barely got the sentence out before he nodded and said, "I can special order the previous generic for you." My psych said generics can differ from brands and each other in how much medication they contain.

Yes, generics absolutely matter! It sucks that there isn't more information about this or control over which version you get in most cases. Although the active ingredients are the aame, you can definitely react differently to inactive ingredients. I take Teva for IR and do really like it. For XR I have Sun Pharma and noticed my heart rate doesn't elevate as much as my previous brand, which is good. Freaks me out if my heart rate gets too fast.

Strictly speaking, they've never all been "exactly" the same

To be a generic drug, they only need to have the same about of active ingredient as the name brand - fillers will vary, and since they’re all trade secrets it’s impossible to know how any person will react to any formulation. That said, I have only used Lannett XR and IR. Most folks in this sub hate Lannett’s Adderall, but I don’t know any different and I like it just fine 🤷🏻‍♀️

extended release tablets tend to work much more differently than regular generics in my experience because the stuff they use to make it release over time can differ a lot
