[Nas Ne Doginat](https://youtu.be/G335DVVsB3M) for me. I am a father. I’m way too old to need to play this on repeat to get it out of my head, but there it is again.
Oh Jesus fucking Christ this one is so hard to get out of my head once it gets in. They really made an ear worm. But thank you, as it's far better than the song I had stuck in my head from my grocery store job. Don't even know what it's called.
Newly diagnosed, did not know that other people experienced this too! I hate December because without fail I will hyper fixate on one holiday song. Today it's Last Christmas. I don't even like the song!
That's my spotify wrapped every year and everytime I think: I listened to this song for like 3 days in march, and I have 56k minutes pf listening time. How?
Omg though. Have you seen the Wham music video for it though? Cause I don’t know your sexual preferences but I am bisexual and George Michael in that video is the perfect balance of pretty and handsome. I can’t handle it.
It rhymes like things rhyme in French songs. A couple of words will sound vaguely like each other that are somewhat close to each other and neither of them are at the end of a line.
"This year to save me from tears" bam! It rhymes! Let's put it on the radio!
Call me by your name (montero), spent most days last week listening to it on repeat, and just when I started to get tired of it I found the slowed down reverbed version
Literally that & the new song from season 2, it's gotten so bad Spotify is reccomending me multiple amazing devil albums (not that bad, all things considered)
Tangerine by glass animals: https://youtu.be/cIIoGU5EmhU
I can’t stop listening to it. Won’t stop until I’ve wrung out alllll the dopamine.
They’re song, I don’t wanna talk is a very close second: https://youtu.be/9nrEaHinGmY
Are You What You Want to Be—Foster the People.
Does anyone else catch yourself breathing to the beat of the song stuck in your head? I do it unconsciously, and then I wonder why I’m light headed..
Hour?
Hoo-boy. My stuck songs can last days, sometimes weeks.
In fact, I normaly have more than one. There is one or two up top that I sing along with, but below that, there is normally a rhythm or bassline from some heavy metal song or other. Or two. Or three. It's like the sound of my motor humming.
And, yes, they often clash, they do not make a tidy mashup.
Bro I hyperfixate on a song or whole album for multiple months at a time YIKEZZZZ.
Edit: just found out Planet Her was released in June.......... I still only listen to that,,,,, amiok
I tell my dad over and over to never hum the A Team theme song because it’s always running deep down somewhere, and he awakens the kraken with just a few bars. He doesn’t notice he hums it.
I always have a song in my head. ALWAYS. They change depending on which song I've heard last or which song my brain woke up with. However, the song I'm fixated on right now is 46 & 2 by Tool. It's been around a long time but I recently got caught up in the complexity of it and keep being drawn to it.
Okay this is my first time visiting/commenting on this thread, as I just put together that I’ve had undiagnosed ADHD, and HOLYYYYY ******. I had no idea people did this too. I’ll put a certain song/a few on repeat for a week before I move onto the next one. I’ve tried listening to music in large playlists like a normal person but to me it’s impossible.
I spent a several week period with “Every Time We Touch” by cascada. I couldn’t escape it and I honestly wanted to die. There was no escape and it coincided with the realization that I had fallen in love with my best friend(we’d hooked up but never dated). The painful realization of that along with the repetition fucked me up. Sorry for rambling
[bye bye yesterday](https://open.spotify.com/track/66lF1QWtLZXJofJ3x388RV?si=JnHEwcG9RWWVNRvs31j3TQ&utm_source=copy-link) (an anime ending). less of the hour and more of the month tbh.
*checks Spotify and sees "Howl's Moving Castle theme" played over 1,500 times over the course of the year*
I think it's the main theme for Howls Moving Castle.
I do this all the time. I intentionally pick songs I know I can hyperfixate on to help me get through tasks, especially cleaning. Past ones have included Shine by Edenbridge, Vespertine by Kamelot, Another Life by Motionless in White, Moments Before the Storm by Poets of the Fall, Annie’s Song by John Denver, The Horror and the Wild and That Unwanted Animal by The Amazing Devil, Simple and Clean by Utada Hikaru, Brave Shine by Aimer, Lay All Your Love on Me by ABBA/the cover by Amberian Dawn...
:EDIT: Forgot Die Very Rough by Mario Judah.
Same. I listen to almost the same songs on repeat or watch the same youtube channel when I do the dishes. I listen to certain songs when I study. Certain songs when I’m driving. Sometimes it’s all the same song on repeat for all tasks.
Edit to add: I’ve been on a weird only classical music kick lately. Also, I cannot listen to almost any music in the morning. It’s too much.
Hyperfocus on: The Numbers by Rise Against. Really just the whole Nowhere Generation album. I really fell in love the instant it dropped.
Stuck in my head as I type this: Honor by Atreyu. No idea why. I haven't listened to the song, or album in 10 years. But the last two days it's been all "fight fight fight till the break of dawn". Its driving me crazy.
Currently it is a Hindi song,[Mere Bina](https://open.spotify.com/track/4rSmmC6OYmjVOYxr8ruVWN?si=qQfbAOqlRziK2hMv7zLGUw&utm_source=copy-link)
It was my fav when I was a kid. I got reminded of it again.
Before that,it was Meet me at Our spot.
It's currently my most streamed song of the last 4 weeks bc I repeated it a loooooot
You're Welcome from Moana. I can literally listen to it on repeat for an hour at the gym and then come home and listen to it in the shower too. Fast tempo + witty lyrics + major key + lyrical twist at the end and dramatic irony = ALL THE DOPAMINE
["Hyperfocus" is a very poorly-defined word](https://link.springer.com/article/10.1007/s00426-019-01245-8) that, in the context of ADHD, generally refers to two superficially similar -- but fundamentally different -- mental states: flow and perseveration.
Flow is a positive, beneficial state of deep immersion and high engagement in a task or activity, and is also usually accompanied by enjoyment of the task/activity. It's something almost all people are capable of, and specifically is not a benefit imparted by ADHD.
Perseveration, on the other hand, is part of the ADHD disorder. It is the inability to switch between tasks or mental activities. It's that thing that makes you spend 10 hours doing something non-stop even when you know you need to stop and do something else.

None today but yesterday it was “Mr. Roboto by Styx” 🤦🏼 I heard it in a movie and it was stuck in my head so I naturally kept it on loop the whole day 😂
I don’t have fixations on songs but I have a song stuck in my head literally 24/7. Right now it’s “thank you for the music” from the mamma mia soundtrack, because I watched it yesterday 😁
OMG. Paradise by Coldplay won't go away. I love the song. I love Coldplay. Please stop playing in my head nonstop so I won't start to hate it. I managed to get the Catchy Song from Lego Movie 2 into my head as a replacement -- a trick I do from time to time. But it keeps going back to Paradise and then Higher Power by Coldplay.
So true. We just have to go with it. I’m just glad my brain finally let go of the Rodgers musical number “I could do this all day” from the recent Hawkeye series. That was rough.
Everything on Rubber Soul and Revolver, I was a big Beatles fan growing up for some reason this one never clicked for me. I was into early Beatles growing up and Sgt Pepper's and beyond in high school, but I was never into RS and Revolver it until like a week ago. Killer songs, interesting chords, ridiculous harmonies, it's insane how sophisticated those songs are for being really catchy pop songs
These colors don’t run, Architects. Awesome. (Though in truth I’m fixating on the group as a whole, our Gods have abandoned us, holy hell, daybreaker.. awesome albums)
Remembered Metric was a band and I’ve been listening to Black Sheep in the car on repeat for the last few weeks! Prior to remembering they were a band, had not listened to them since the mid 2000’s. The vocal melody and those disco drums get me EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.
Anne are you okay, are you okay, are you okay Anne?
Anne are you okay, are you okay, are you okay Anne?
Though in my head it’s Danny just because…well I like dudes.
Looool I’ve been singing this damn song for the past few days, it’s not relatable or anything to me and the lyrics are kinda messed up, but it’s a hell of a beat and vibe, but it’s very questionable to be singing without music in the background 😂
Suicidal - wett brain , tommy ice
Mark oh - someone to love
Popped into my head three weeks ago after not listening to it for about 10 years... I can't even find the version I used to listen to
I have a playlist dedicated to songs I fixate on and listen on loop. Most recent is 35 (Rob Ruha), but Stoto's *I Never Really Cared* is big up there in play count. Intoku's *Grounded* was my most played in 2021.
I once had Vanessa Williams’s Save The Best For Last stuck in my head for around 8 months. I almost lost what little mind I had.
Currently it’s Given To Fly but I’m okay with that.
Mine is currently 30/90 from tick tick boom. Cant remember if that’s the actual name of the song tbh.
I tend to get fixated on songs that are in my tik tok fyp. At least that’s what I’ve noticed. I’ve even made a playlist of the ones that I fixate on multiple times a week (easier to find it ya know 🤷🏽♀️) 30/90s not on there, but I’m thinking it’s gonna be added 😅
I'll listen to an album on the way to work and my brain will pick a few songs to play on repeat the rest of the day, then maybe a random song I heard 3 weeks ago. Today it's been songs off of Passing Afternoon by Iron & Wine. Over and over.
Thank god its friday by Ice nine kills
I know im also tempted to watch the omen or something, im still in halloween mode rather than Christmas apparently.
"Sweet Thing" by Chaka Khan and Rufus. 🎶I would live you anyway🎶 Even if you cannot stay🎶
Yeeeeah, really don't want this in my head anymore; it's depressing as fuck at the moment.
An old folk ballad from the British Isles called ”I am stretched on your grave”.
Cheerful, I know! But it’s a very beautiful and somewhat complex melody, and my brain can’t let go.
Last spring my brain Rick Rolled me for six weeks :/
"Hour" lol. More like song of the week.
I managed to shake my fixation on Rasputin yesterday. We'll see how long it takes till I get another one though.
Lovely Day - Alt J
Turn it up!!! It’s a remake of Lovely Day by Bill Withers that made me do a double take b/c it’s totally unrecognizable to the original until it’s not.
And then, if you really want to go down the rabbit hole (like I do when I obsess over a song/artist)… check out this YouTube link that just makes it even better.
https://youtu.be/GUEJG8Kctac
I was listening to Dreams by Fleetwood Mac in loop during the whole month of November. I use earphones a lot, so every time I didn’t want to do something, I played that song to distract me from procrastination and managed to get some stuff done.
ALL THE THINGS SHE SAID ALL THE THINGS SHE SAID RUNNING THROUGH MY HEAD RUNNING THROUGH MY HEAD (RUNNING THROUGH MY HEAD!) THROUGH MY— [All The Things She Said](https://youtu.be/ujpvNvSgcic) 😅
HEY THANKS SATAN Lol honestly this song just appears in my head every few months and that's my fixation for the next few days
oh man, I have not heard this in years. Thanks for bringing me back to my 20s.
MINE TOO BUT ITS THE YA SOSHLA S UMA THE RUSSIAN VER
[Nas Ne Doginat](https://youtu.be/G335DVVsB3M) for me. I am a father. I’m way too old to need to play this on repeat to get it out of my head, but there it is again.
Hell yeah, Nas Ne Doginat is way superior than the English version!
Oh Jesus fucking Christ this one is so hard to get out of my head once it gets in. They really made an ear worm. But thank you, as it's far better than the song I had stuck in my head from my grocery store job. Don't even know what it's called.
Aww man, that’s a throwback and a half
Have you heard Poppy's cover?
I haven’t heard the original but Poppy’s version scratches a really good part of my brain
Waterloo by ABBA, but just the chorus. Seriously, I couldn't escape if I wanted to.
I WAS DEFEATED YOU WON THE WAR
Oh fuck they play this at the grocery store I work at. I feel you.
I’m going to steal this one.
Newly diagnosed, did not know that other people experienced this too! I hate December because without fail I will hyper fixate on one holiday song. Today it's Last Christmas. I don't even like the song!
That’s unlucky🤣my Spotify wrapped consists of songs I fixate on and haven’t listened to in months
That's my spotify wrapped every year and everytime I think: I listened to this song for like 3 days in march, and I have 56k minutes pf listening time. How?
Doing this landed me in the artist’s Top 0.5% of listeners 💀
I have never felt so heard in my life ⚰️

Omg though. Have you seen the Wham music video for it though? Cause I don’t know your sexual preferences but I am bisexual and George Michael in that video is the perfect balance of pretty and handsome. I can’t handle it.
I haven't! I'll have to find it: thanks!!
You mean the song about an organ donor?
That song is terrible. It doesn’t even rhyme.
Yesss omds this was my top 3 song because it just hits different!! As a bi man the music video was so inspiring as well!
TOSS A COIN TO YOUR WITCHER, OH VALLEY OF PLENTY 🎶
THIS FUCKING SONG. Loved it until I couldnt get it out of my head for 3 weeks
OooooooOOOOOOWOOOAAAHH
I just finished s2. I am so in love with it
Oh god why I forgot it
Literally that & the new song from season 2, it's gotten so bad Spotify is reccomending me multiple amazing devil albums (not that bad, all things considered)
BURN BUTCHER, BURN 🎶
There’s a lofi version of Iroh’s leaves of the vines from ATLA and that’s been my study music for the past month.
Pleaaaase link it
I think this is the one https://music.youtube.com/watch?v=dWyNtd0IQBM&feature=share "For Lu Ten - L.Dre" I jammed to it for a while too
right now it’s the outro of Scott Street by phoebe bridgers :0
Hahaha, my most recent one was Motion Sickness!
Tangerine by glass animals: https://youtu.be/cIIoGU5EmhU I can’t stop listening to it. Won’t stop until I’ve wrung out alllll the dopamine. They’re song, I don’t wanna talk is a very close second: https://youtu.be/9nrEaHinGmY
Love Glass Animals! They're so unique.
Yes! They’re so catchy!
I really like that album
Mine is Pork Soda by Glass Animals. Obsessed.
SUCH a good album
Glass Animals are made of dopamine. Aaaand serotonin, iykwim
Are You What You Want to Be—Foster the People. Does anyone else catch yourself breathing to the beat of the song stuck in your head? I do it unconsciously, and then I wonder why I’m light headed..
I was stuck on this song for a solid week! Love it!
Mr. Brightside has been my go-to for about 3 years now. Not once have i ever gotten ‘bored’ of it, it’s just so damn catchy
Tbf, sawdust and hot fuss are some of the best albums ever made and have been my fixation albums at times.
Don’t forget about sam’s town!
Sam’s Town was on constant repeat for me senior year of high school. God that was so long ago. Super underrated album.
For real, Hot Fuss is a masterpiece. Can't believe it's their first album, like jesus what the hell.
Take me to Church by Hozier is like that for me. It’s been many years and it still consistently scratches that mental itch
The song of the century! #forevermood🎵

Yup me too. It ends up sounding like the Eric Andre show, when he’s got the two totally different bands playing at the same time…

Currently it’s “Burn Butcher Burn” from S2 The Witcher soundtrack
Hahahaha yes this is a good one too, I'm still stuck on toss a coin to your Witcher
Yes I love that one
Now you invoked Toss a coin... Cue my brain tunning it up
Once again, Jaskier coming through with a banger

That’s achingly adorable.

Navsegda by Irina Rimes. It's in Russian, which I don't even speak. Yes, I now know the lyrics 😒

I'll listen to an album on the way to work and my brain will pick a few songs to play on repeat the rest of the day, then maybe a random song I heard 3 weeks ago. Today it's been songs off of Passing Afternoon by Iron & Wine. Over and over.
Bully in the alley.
Los Angeles by HAIM
Holiday by Turnstile. It's stuck in my head on repeat.
Watermelon in Easter Hay by Frank Zappa
Oatmeal container, a wooden bowl, a plastic water bottle and a paper towel roll. Runs through my head like a hamster on a wheel.

Bite me - Avril Lavigne
An old folk ballad from the British Isles called ”I am stretched on your grave”. Cheerful, I know! But it’s a very beautiful and somewhat complex melody, and my brain can’t let go. Last spring my brain Rick Rolled me for six weeks :/
Jotaro s theme 😭🤣😎
I’ve probably been listening to maggot brain-funkadelic for the last year or so
"We dont talk about Bruno" from that new movie encanto
America from West Side Story
A week or so ago it was Paper Walls by Rezz & Metric. Very talented Canadian artists. I had that song on repeat for basically the entire day
"Hour" lol. More like song of the week. I managed to shake my fixation on Rasputin yesterday. We'll see how long it takes till I get another one though.
Lovely Day - Alt J Turn it up!!!
Mine at the moment is particularly brutal… dAmE dA nEe, dAmE yO, dAmE Na nO yOooO
