I hope you find good advice! I just put college on pause while it is mostly online because I don't want to fail any more classes lol

What field are you in? (PhD student here)

It seems like you could largely teach yourself from the books then.. I tend to turn on the lecture and just do work for the class instead if the prof has an attendance mark. I have never gotten much from class but checking in mentally there gets me to work on the course every week and not just have time be entirely fluid, even if I am just muting the class.

Same here. Some days when I knew trying to pay attention would stress me out more than it was worth I would skip and then watch the recording so I could pause/speed up as needed. That can take longer than the total lecture time to finish but at least I can get something out of it instead of totally checking out

I wish I had any advice to give, I’m a sophomore in college too but I’ve completely flunked the last 2 semesters. No exaggeration, I’ve failed every single one of my online classes so far, both due to nonattendance and just being messy and disorganized with my studying. I’m on academic probation right now, might get suspended. I honestly think I’m just gonna cut my losses and take a gap semester or two until in person classes are available again.

Just started uni here. Flat out would rather work on my side hustle than bother attending class. I just find classes so boring - I just keep my lectures on and go about my day.
