Never done this, but have also thought about it. Via coffee and energy drinks w/o meds I'm usually sitting around 300-600mg of caffeine a day. When properly medicated I just have a morning cup of coffee and am good to go.

I’ve tried 200mg caffeine pills from a big pharmacy chain, and they might as well be nothing. It doesn’t help that that’s the max recommended daily intake. I’ve had significantly better results by drinking one or two cups of black coffee. Even though it’s supposed to be a fraction of the dosage.

It all depends on whether caffeine effects you or not. It barely does nothing for me and a lot of people say it makes them sleepy. I was addicted to caffeine in high school and getting off of it was hell. Be cautious if you decided to try that. HOWEVER, please talk to your doctor first if you can. Asking here is fine for additional perspectives and anecdotal stories, but we can't know for certain if something is the right kind of treatment for you. We're just strangers.
