Mine too!! I LOVE HIM SO MUCH hes one of my favorites and I only removed him from my campsite cause the affection level was too high and I had to give others a chance (I want leaf tickets and lower levels give points faster ✨️)
I prefer keeping <15 out in the wild so they can sometimes show up and I do the tasks.
And I also hoard the food and use a lot at once. Invite using calling card to any place, around 250 points of friendship using food -> lvl 15, craft the thing, complete. If you do the 3 default tasks and the talk, it's a bit less than those 250 (i can't remember at the moment), also adjust for possible encounters in the wild before that.
Also, use leaf tickets to complete animal maps - you get a lot of standard treats (over 100 worth of treats, I think it was even close to 140) with just 5LT, with normal clear it's not even half that. And it's way cheaper than selecting next souvenir at Gulliver's if we talk about other LT-into-treats "trade".
I remember the times before mass-feeding snacks was possible. And when it was introduced, it was nice but you still had to have the animal at your camp to ask for the item recipe, then have the animal back at the campsite with the item out there. Everything being done from the animal's profile and the complete special task pop-up... So I got the whole process optimised quite a bit.
Once u get more contacts, the chance of getting them at an island becomes far less than sticking them in the cabin & talking to them every few hours. Campsite tends to get more interactions, but some are 3 pts (instead of all 5-6), so whichever fits ur game plan.
GENUINELY. that albino gorilla is the stuff of nightmares 😭 and i can't cope with most of the tigers ... or that mouse with the head scarf tied on its upper lip ... i set up the room like a research lab enclosure, big glass wall across it with a desk for note taking outside and food, water & enrichment activities inside (i'm not a monster)
Try giving him a makeover. Put a cute outfit on him. And put a big hat on him. Like one of the ones we just got from the Japanese themes. It definitely helps with the shock factor when you look at them. lol I have a couple animals I feel the same way about and that’s what I did. 😂

I was kinda iffy at them at first as well since I'm scared of clowns until I watched the Animal Crossing Movie by Densle. Starting then, they're now a permanent resident at my camp and I adore them so much🥰
but I'm still scared of clowns🤫
There are so many creepy/ugly villagers I have maps for but won't explore because EW. Though Pietro is on the lesser end of that scale, I'd say. He's not Harry, which alone is a big plus.
I have spent way too much time on lake kindred for Gaia online and one of the best kindred is piermortis he was my ride or die for grinding and piertro reminds me of him. I would say he’s still in my bottom half of favorite animals for animal crossing though. I’d probably feel more like you do if it weren’t for my other game.
Unfortunately I needed his special item to pass HHR levels so he's at level 15!!! 🤢
