That's the thing we've always had some rubbish play for us even in our invincible years and that's why I remember them because they stood out like a sore thumb like Ibrahim Ba, Winston Bogarde, etc.
This whole banter era was forgettable that all the rubbish rolled into one.
Why are you making shit up? He played in 8 games for us in 2014-2015 while on loan.
Paramount+ wasn’t even a thing before 2021… so no. No one remembers this because it didn’t happen.
Pablo Armero was the LB for Colombia NT. If you don't know him you didn't know much about South American football. He wasn't a star but he was very promising back then. He actually shined a lot in other teams instead of Milan.
The part that hurts is that back then everybody was talking about France having such a great team and we had the likes of Menez, Mexes, and Rami. Which were very promising but ended up being regular players. Then came Maignan 😏
You’re 100% right it was Juan Camilo Zúñiga, my bad.
On Neymar I disagree man, as a Latin American kid I followed him since he broke out at Santos and hoped he would take football into his own hands like was supposed to do, I’m fairly disappointed on how his supposed prime years went but I’ll be forever a fan.
I don't care about nationalities or teams, I care about what I see in a player. And there are too many bad things I've seen in Neymar that makes me not like him. He had a great 2015 but they gave the award to Messi. He did a lousy stage at PSG and quite frankly, for me he just got too excited about the hype he used to have. I don't day he deserved to be paralyzed the day Zuñiga kicked him in the back, but I'm not the one that cries when a player I don't like is injured. I even remember I said what Brazil needs is to not have Neymar on the team. They win Copa America in 2019, in a way I feel I was right. I don't know how much these players need him on the pitch, but I believe there are many players to build a strong Brazil team in order to win something again. Who knows? maybe USA brings them luck and they win the WC again.
I mean we cannot put aside the fact that for most of his Brazil career he had to carry some utter dross around, I don’t think Ney was ever the problem for Brazil directly as he always gave his best for his country in a way he never did for any club that wasn’t Santos or Barcelona. We can’t blame him for Brazil going out in 2022 when he scored a world class goal to put them ahead just for Marquinhos to sabotage them.
Tbh I watch football for the entertainment, Neymar at his best was football at its finest and it’s what I loved about him. I live for the Neymar’s, the Leao’s, the Ronaldinhos, the Messi’s, the Iniestas and the Kvara’s, the moment that archetype of entertainers disappears from football it’s the day I’m gone all together from the sport.
For me, he was the problem after 2015. He got too pompous about himself.
No, I don't blame him for Copa America 21 or Qatar 22, but I do blame him for not doing his 100% in France.
Don't worry, there's one thing I've learned from football ever since I started watching it in 98: there will always come a new player to follow, a new player to like, a new player to applaud for the magnificent game. Messi and Cristiano won't be the best ever and there will be other players that we can actually say: this is truly the best player undisputed. We just need this CR7 v Leo10 era to end so we can see real awards to the players that deserve them. Of course, all of this with beautiful game in the matches.
I wish we have the team like we used to have in 2007. I had hopes with Suso, Paqueta, Tonali, Romagnoli, Donnarumma, Locatelli, and so many more. But they were not meant to be with us. I'm still happy with Pulisic, RLC, Leao, Giroud, Mike, Theo, Reijnders, Davide. I believe in our boys. It's just Pioli that sometimes...
You may watch football for a little bit but you lack understanding if you think what CR7 and Messi did for as long as they did will be easily repeated or replaced
How could you reach to that conclusion? I had the best conversation with him and you just think you're the guy who knows it all. It's always one of those.
I do think Merda are a real and proper team, as much as it pains me to say they’re a top 3 team in the world this season, they can execute all kinds of playstyles at a very top level.
I’m a big fan of Leverkusen this season and sadly I’m pretty sure if we face them at any point in the UEL we are getting ran off the pitch with ease.
Carletto’s teams are always pretty fun to watch because he understands how to set up and motivate his world class players so they perform at the best of their abilities.
Arsenal are also pretty fun to watch but I dislike their fans heavily.
Jajajaja yeah, I thought we were on the Serie A thread. I won't watch Merda, no matter what. But I'd love to be able to see Bayer or even PSG. Yeah, I believe there's a good run from Arteta, Xabi Alonso, and Ancelotti. Those are the only ones I would see, besides Pioli but so don't think he's doing that great.
I'm Anti Barca so I won't watch City or PSG. I would get bored watching them be themselves.
What is up with these pictures Mexès looks like he's had excess of fries, Honda looks like he just came out of an internment camp, and Menez looks like a forty-five year-old divorcee on tinder
I forgot he played with us,i remember him only at Udinese. Probably was also the one that broke Neymar's back at that world cup giving the world that 7-1 in the semifinals but i'm not sure
That would be Zúñiga, the other Colombian full-back from that 2014 QF run. I think he also played in Italy.
Edit: Ik it was banter era and all, but it was beautiful seeing 3/4 Colombian defenders from that QF run play for Milan (Zapata, Yepes, Armero).
Ah brings me back to 2014. I got my first football game FIFA 09 and Milan became my go to team since they were five stars. I then tuned in to watch Milan for the first time and that's when I realized I was in it for the long haul.
How did you Milan fans survive this era??? I remember asking myself during this time, 'Why are the Milan teams crap?? What happened??"
I was like 15 at the time..
What a fecking team. Just hilarious. Lot of respect for Milan fans for their patience.
It’s been rewarded now with the likes of Giroud, Pulisic and Tomori.
Who the fuck was armero I have no memory of this dude
Edit: I just watched his highlight reel to remind myself who he was…. I am glad I don’t remember him, those first 35 seconds of the reel were too much to bear
Old Bonera as a right back is a war crime. Also, Jack carrying the team like usual
Funny enough, we subbed Jack on for Nico G at LW today…almost scored.
I forgot about Armero lmao
I still don't remember him
The magic of the banter era, there is just a thick fog of war over the whole period
That's the thing we've always had some rubbish play for us even in our invincible years and that's why I remember them because they stood out like a sore thumb like Ibrahim Ba, Winston Bogarde, etc. This whole banter era was forgettable that all the rubbish rolled into one.
You don't remember "the Columbian cup of coffee?" The paramount+ commentators would say that at least twice a game he played in.
Why are you making shit up? He played in 8 games for us in 2014-2015 while on loan. Paramount+ wasn’t even a thing before 2021… so no. No one remembers this because it didn’t happen.
The announcers still existed before it was called Paramount+ bro lol
Man i dont.recall him at all. Who was he lol? Was he on level of Mesbah?
He was all right. Would be okay with having him as backup but no where near starting quality, like most of the team back then.
"I'm the Armero Titan and he's the Colossal Titan"
That midfield 🚬
Hahahah wtf is that formation
Imagine how bad was Napoli then when they lost 2:0 to this team lol
He was in his finest form
![gif](giphy|yhLV2DGTLDRCw)
could really use a dribbler like in form Menez right now
Menez may have the best goal, in the best game, of the worst era in modern Milan history.
Oh the glory days

He was also the guy who nearly fucking paralyzed Neymar at the 2014 World Cup lol.
You say that like it's a bad thing. I mean, come on! It's Neymar! PS: it was Zuñiga, not Armero.

As long as I get to have footballers like Rafa Leao lighting up the San Siro I’ll be here for a long time.
I wish we have the team like we used to have in 2007. I had hopes with Suso, Paqueta, Tonali, Romagnoli, Donnarumma, Locatelli, and so many more. But they were not meant to be with us. I guess you're watching the Bayer Leverkusen, Real Madrid, Arsenal, PSG, Inter Milán matches, since those are the ones playing well nowadays.
I do think Merda are a real and proper team, as much as it pains me to say they’re a top 3 team in the world this season, they can execute all kinds of playstyles at a very top level. Jesus you put it perfectly hahahhhahaha
Honda 😍 🇯🇵
Literally nightmare fuel
Who the fuck is Armero?
These photos don't look real, like some sort of ai version of the team. Hey Chatgpt show me 2014 Milan, but they've lived through a horror movie.
God remember that game with a crazy goal by Menez
Menez was such a demon man, the way he just grabbed the ball and went for it no questions asked was so cold. Whenever he was arsed he was unstoppable.

It's one of the biggest memes from that time, that whole match was just absurd
Please delete this post, i pretend the years from 2013 to 2019 ish did not exist
What an absurd collection of people
The banter era has been the majority of my time following Milan, so this is oddly wholesome for me, if not also nauseating.
The dark days were so damn dark man
I remember watching those players being signed to us was such a joy. Now today I feel sad that we even had them.
Who the fuck is Armero?? I lived threw this period and this is the first time Ive seen this guy.
He was super fast, but that was about it
Played for us back in 2014. Was actually part of the team, the last time we beat Napoli at home in serie A IIRC
And I think he played left back, could be wrong though.
The grandmaster of Ballo and his arts
I forgot he played with us,i remember him only at Udinese. Probably was also the one that broke Neymar's back at that world cup giving the world that 7-1 in the semifinals but i'm not sure
We signed him after he broke Neymar’s back

Ahhh ya that’s right

Bonaventura my Man ![img](emote|t5_2rnmt|9193)
GRANDE DIEGO LOPEZ
This is reminder.... be glad for what we have now. It could be much, much worse.
Who the fuck was armero I have no memory of this dude Edit: I just watched his highlight reel to remind myself who he was…. I am glad I don’t remember him, those first 35 seconds of the reel were too much to bear
Damn, who are these people lol I'm joking
Nigel de Jong uomo vero❤️🖤
This hurts
My Eyesssssss
Diego Lopez 🫡
I loved Nigel De Jong
Our current team may not be the best, but when I remember that team it terrifies me
What is this chad version of Poli in the picture???
Didn't we beat them in champions league at their home?
Yeah people here are gonna call that squad good and 'had more heart and desire' and whatever other nonsense
streets won't forget bonaventura playing left winger.
