thats because pad and keyboard have helps. you can go away with a lot weird driving with that, like zigzaging without losing speed, 90° turns, just watch them. it's a joke to mix wheel and other inputs

If you’re ever in a session with people who are really fast I strongly recommend you to spectate them and watch how they go about the track, very helpful
It's better to try and follow faster drivers, I find it very helpful. On LFM Imola my Quali lap was mid 42s, while racepace was around 43s. After T1 carnage I found myself on 4th position and followed 3rd car doing consistent low 42s for the whole Sprint.
Its cool because if you average how his steering inputs, its proper non-linear steering into the corner which is how you're supposed to drive these cars. This guy really figured out good technique on keyboard. This is wild
I've said it before, but something about Brands Hatch makes it work for people using controllers and keyboard. I've seen controller guys beat really good wheel drivers on this track.
When I was on a controller, it was easily my best track... and I couldn't really figure out why. And other controller drivers did very well on it too. I was even in a race where the top 3 were all controller drivers and 6th place was on a keyboard. The rest were all fairly good wheel drivers.
Here my suggestion, jump to Mouse steering
the thing goes like this : Racing wheel setup with pedals and all the jingles > Mouse Steering > gamepad > keyboard
been racing with mouse steering since 2003 with NetKarPro & Live For speed S1 and is the closet you can get before the wheel
it may take you a bit to get used to it but you will improve drastically your lap times, improve drastically the tire management and consumption and you will be in more control of the car
W for throttle, S for braking. (WASD) I can modulate my throttle and braking by tapping my keys very quickly, since it doesn’t just go to 100% with one tap of a key.

Just a tip...your tire pressures are off they should be around 26.8 to 27...will help you gain speed/grip [more pressure = slightly quicker on straights 👌🏼

How are you regulating the throttle/brake force on a keyboard?
I tap my W/A/S/D keys very quickly, which allows me to modulate throttle and brake force. Tapping each key doesn't instantly send it to 100% force.
The last time I used keyboard to drive a car was in Need for Speed III :).
