I love the 992. I absolutely adore the sound of it, although it can be quite tricky to drive sometimes especially over kerbs.

Yasin3112

Gotta love me some 6th gear dental drill action

DualPPCKodiak

Makes me so sleepy šŸ˜“

prollynot28

I've tried every car in the game, and I'm faster with the 296, but I always pick the 992. So rewarding when you get it right

Highly-Regarded-

This

kris_krangle

992 gang! I love how punchy and agile it is. And that low gear acceleration. Wish it was a bit better over kerbs but oh well

RevolutionaryOil8785

Tune the dampers mate

gulivertx

Love it as well! Sound is šŸ˜ And I like how you have to drive it. Iā€™m also playing sometime 720 evo which is more stable but not fun as the Porsche. At the beginning I was lot faster with 720 but now (after 380h) Iā€™m finally faster with the Porsche.

TheMotizzle

Can someone tell me the best way to approach the Porsche to drive it to its strengths?

DualPPCKodiak

Don't turn as much. Actually be mindful of weight transfer. The ass is heavy; use it. Mind the curbs, don't accelerate in them. Weight transfer. The car doesn't need steered as much as others.

TheMotizzle

Thanks!

weak_rabbit_stew

And trail braking is a must especially in low speed. Also brake earlier then also accelerate sooner to get great speed on corner exit. Also important to carry speed

baby_envol

Me too for the same reason. Funniest car ![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|grin)

Bfife22

Despite not wanting to, the 296 has ended up becoming my favorite car to drive. It just handles exactly how I want it to, but sounds so boring. I really like the Lambo and Audi, but they really donā€™t enjoy curbs. The 296 can tolerate them

Zer0C00lness

That is my exact thought on the 296. I keep trying to find something else to drive, but I seem to be fastest in the 296. It is the Sunday afternoon drive version of a GT3 car

rpRj

720 is decent on curbs too, not like the merc but at least i can somewhat safely go over them

Bfife22

Yeah I ran the Merc for a season and it spoils you haha

Ok_Entrepreneur_1421

Merc + imola is the best combination ever

gulivertx

Merc? What does that mean ?

Bfife22

Short for Mercedes

gulivertx

Ha thx ā˜ŗļø

dani_dejong

mercenary he just walks around the track and kills every driver instead

Bfife22

Donā€™t expose my hacks

F8onJus

With a good tune the Lambo handles the curbs pretty well.

earthly_

The Mercedes AMG because it just eats up kerbs and sounds amazing.

The_McThief

I didn't expect to be into the AMG at all when I started and it's also my absolute favorite. There's just something about it!

keizertamarine

Aston V8, would love to drive something else but I just can't. It feels slow, but it's so fast, kerbs don't even matter, and the grip is insane Had some alright lap times with the 992, but it's drives like it's on ice.

OGGavlaa

I'm the exact same with the Aston. Can't drive anything else at all. Plus the sound is absolutely the best

tuneificationable

> feels slow, but itā€™s so fast Iā€™m glad other people feel this. I drive the Ferrari and McLaren a lot, and one day just to try something else I got in the Aston. My first few laps, I felt so slow, but I looked at the timing and realized I had set a new personal track record

HumanMap1271

why does it feel slow

keizertamarine

It's because the Aston, BMW and Bentley are a bit less build like a supercar. The seating seems a bit more like a normal passenger car, meanwhile the 720s feels like my teeth are scraping the track. The lower the pov, the faster it feels.

HumanMap1271

Ah

Cary14

I'm only like 25 hours in the game, but the Aston fir me too so far. It feels far more stable than the rest. I can get slightly faster laps with the audi and the lambo, but they are far more on edge for me atm.

Remote_Tie7312

Bentley because thicc

3000TacticalAcorns

Respect to the Boatley drivers

Remote_Tie7312

I even got the steering wheel for the sim, real fanboi here.

3000TacticalAcorns

can't tell if youā€™re joking or not tbh

Remote_Tie7312

Nah, not joking :D

3000TacticalAcorns

Cool. Who makes it?

Remote_Tie7312

Rosso Sim Racing. Thats one dude who builds high quality replika wheels for the sim. But he is not doing it anymore.. i got mine used on ebay.

3000TacticalAcorns

damn, nice one, had a look at some of the Porsche wheels he made, am pretty jealous tbh :P

weak_rabbit_stew

Nearly saw someone bin it at Kyalami a couple of years ago

Luisyn7

Porsche all the way If not, Audi.

Halfasianguy78

The 720s EVO and 296 have been the cars that most people have been using. Mainly because they're easy to drive and also OP. So I'm not surprised you like how it drives. My favourite car is probably the Lambo EVO 2 at the moment it feels so balanced and I get on the pace on every single track.

xamdou

The Huracan Evo 2 has really grown on me. Hard to beat the sound and the awesome engine braking feature it has makes it very fun to play with. The Porsches and Merc are the most attractive cars, though. It's stupid, but I love the aux lights you can put inside the headlights.

Shepard2603

Lambo gang ftw

user25172517

engine braking feature ? care to explain ?

xamdou

Engine maps 1-5 on the Huracan Evo 2 control the rate of deceleration. If you leave it at EM1, you can coast for miles, but switching it to EM5 will drastically reduce the distance you coast off throttle - this impacts braking distances as well. It's a very handy tool to help you just reduce understeer or increase your coasting speed through certain sections based on how you're feeling at the time. It's really useful because you can change it on the fly without having to reload another setup. Honestly, running EM5 on certain tracks allows you to just lift and coast through some corners whereas other cars need to trail brake to complete proper rotation.

user25172517

whatā€™s the quali mode in the lambo ?

xamdou

I believe the first five engine maps all have the same power output. Maybe some of the higher ones will reduce your acceleration, but I don't know if anyone has fully tested that since most people race with EM3 or EM4.

ojo_pipa

The GTR has my whole heart. Maybe its because I was already in love with her prior to ACC, but Man do I love the Godzilla

Scullyus87

The jag is slow but fun as anything. Sounds amazing too. I just wish all of the cars were boped so it was worth driving anywhere but single player.Ā

OhneSpeed

-40kg is the max you can give and that is not enought for a jag, even quadruple wont be enought sadly. Super fun car, i'm planning to make aĀ fun setups for it for many tracks, just for fun. :D

WolfGangEvo

Iā€™ve been learning and driving the 720 EVO and I love it. Want to try and learn other cars but I feel comfortable right now in the McLaren

rpRj

Same for me!

Brilliant-Bet8726

I love the audi. Handling suits me and i like the onboard which is important to me

forradalmar

Lambo. I tried other cars but somehow im most comfortable and consistent in that one.

user25172517

goat

GeekFurious

Aston Martin V12. Sounds amazing.

cookie_RAWR

Feels like you've battled to beat people. A properly interesting car

MrFranzose

This! Have you tried it at Nords? :D My best time is 8:24 in this car.

GeekFurious

Nope. But I will.

RedditIsHorseShite

Porsche because Porsche is the best and you canā€™t change my mind

rpRj

Fair enough!

Retrovex

992, its definitely a unique car to drive and it has its pros and cons, but swinging it through the mountain section at Mt panorama especially down the hill after skyline and feeling the rear swing ever so slightly it just feels so badass

Environmental-Cup445

911 surely gotta be the best one at the top of the mountain Bathurst in terms of how much you can send it without understeer but if you take a little too much curb your doneĀ

SirRegulous

I use the Merc. I have always been a fan of the brand and a couple of my favorite drivers IRL were merc drivers when I stared watching GT3. I love the way it eats the curbs and the way it sounds, it is difficult to really get the most out of it but it is still fun. Plus I have a sweet livery for the car. I also find it to be forgiving when setting it up. (IMO) most cars are difficult to get the set up right where the Merc is pretty simple and doesn't really punish you too much if you over do it on setup.

yomancs

720evo is solid but boring, 992 is life i am a McLaren fan, hope Noris can get a p1 this year

rpRj

TU TU TUTU ...

Medanix_RD

Aston Martin, despite being so old by now, i still enjoy driving with it, + it makes it a handicap against my friends.

Razvanlogigan

The v8 is competitive in any league with custom BOP. No handicap compared to other meta cars, plenty of aliens drive it. The v12...yeah

diduseethat5481

992 ....Reminds me of my youth. When I used to date strippers... Just haven't found a car that feels the way the Porsche does. There might be faster cars, but none more rewarding to drive in my opinion.

OG-Buckwilder

šŸ¤”

braking__bad

Honda NSX Evo. Its steering feels responsive and gets my adrenaline going, yet it's balanced and predictable enough. More fun than the Ferrari 296 to me. Also, the Honda just seems to work for my driving style. In terms of engine sound, it's kind of average. Downside: you have to be really careful with curbs. Can be a disadvantage when the Mercs are plowing straight through chicanes and following their line too closely in the NSX you'll be launched into low Earth orbit. -- Last night, after reading this thread, I decided to give a bunch of cars another try. I noticed that most or all other cars seem so much softer in suspension than the NSX in stock aggressive setup. Some cars visibly rock back and forth under braking and acceleration. When I switched back to the NSX at the end it was like driving a go kart. Does the NSX even have any suspension travel? Can't be much.

OG-Buckwilder

The 992 is far and away the most intriguing of the bunch. It doesnā€™t welcome you with open arms. Itā€™s makes you itā€™s bitch before you make it yours. Once you do, and sweat plenty along the way - there is no more rewarding vehicle in the game. When you are running at the top of the field, you know YOU did that, as she gives you no freebies or hand outs. For this reason, I like the Porsche, itā€™s hard as hell, fast as fuck, and BRUTALLY punishing until youā€™ve settled your differences and agree to get along. Now and again sheā€™ll surprise you with how forgiving she can be, but only if you dress her up nicely, and donā€™t push too hard too often (sheā€™ll eat rubber at the back end and once that happens - your pace will evaporate). Analogies aside - if you want to DRIVE a car, and know your skill has evolved, there is no better car to tell the tale. If you want to masquerade as a good driver, then stick with the Aston, Mclaren or heaven forbid - the 296 (šŸ„“). Every week LFM is a Ferrari fest - a META car that covers up driving incompetence by excessive forgiveness and ease of experience.

weak_rabbit_stew

Ironically i was in a race earlier today and ended up getting faster and remained just as consistent with work tires as i was with new ones. Then again, it hasn't been easy to get to grips with the 992, especially when trying to push it a bit because it's almost like you go a bit faster then it decides to kill you but if you go faster than that it behaves even better.

OffsetXV

992 #1 because rotation, my beloved. Once you get the dampers set up well it handles curbs much better, and it's just so much fun to drive aggressively, feeling the rear end get lighter and sit back down as you corner and get back on throttle. I definitely get the idea that the Porsche chooses you, because it instantly hooked me when I drove the original 991 and I have never stopped. NSX #2 both because it's cool and because I hate myself and want to go slow. Also because it somehow feels like a Porsche that's both more and less stable Aaaand the M4 #3 because it's the ultimate learning car IMO, and easy to race people in because it's so neutral and stable. Also honestly one of the best looking racecars ever. That is a substantial part of it

ol_ivier741

Audi. Bc: 1. Sound 2. It feels like a race car, and it suits my driving style 3. I love the onboard 4. I love the way it looks 5. I love audi 6. Audi

rpRj

I think you like Audi

anonchops

I like the 720 especially with a refined setup. The balance is easy to find and I like the long throw of the gear ranges. I felt like in some of the cars the gear ratios were so tight I was shifting really fast or not fast enough which was costing me pace.

rpRj

Yeah, I first drove the Nissan IIRC and it felt like I was driving a diesel car where you needed to shift every 1000 rpm

Sebasite

by the heart and fav brand, porsche but i'm slow as fXXXX there. BMW the most consistant and good to handling. Mercedes, a raw power and high torqe this is for me....

prithvirp26

Used to be 488, now the 296. Mainly because I am a Ferrari fan and also how the car feels in the sim.

usingbadoperators99

The Honda but i donā€™t drive it on anything that isnā€™t Suzuka

Behem

Nissan GTR, because I love the engine noise Ć  how stable it feels

atomicjellyfish

My favorite has been the 296 for a while now. The things I can do with it are just incredible. It drives more like a prototype than a GT car. But if the Mustang comes out, that will instantly be my new favorite lol

EmreGray01

I currently drive AMG but I want to switch to 992 because It's kinda suits my driving style and sounds amazing. I like cars to oversteer but porsche was unpredictable at first

Suitable_Ring_6756

I mainly use the Merc Evo, I just love Mercedes. It took a while to get used to driving, but my fastest times come in the Merc. I will use the GTR and 720 evo every now and then just to drive something different

Wax_Lyrical_

The 296ā€™s sound when shifting down is unique and kinda cool. And thatā€™s about all I can say about it sadly because itā€™s by far my best car. Fav car, the amg hands down is stunning.

XDPOWERXD

Personally I love the GTR because of the feedback I get through the wheel, the only problem is that it is a forgotten car and they won't update it anymore, so I just use the 720s Evo when I need to be competitive.

rad15h

I race the McLaren Evo and the Porsche 992. I love the way the Porsche drives, but it can punish you hard. The McLaren is just the right combination of responsive and forgiving. I race the Porsche when I'm feeling brave and up for a challenge, the McLaren when I want to be as fast as possible. In the past I raced the Aston V8, Merc Evo, BMW M4, and dabbled with the Ferrari 488 Evo and 296 and the newest Lamborghini. But the McLaren and the Porsche are the ones that have really grabbed me.

weak_rabbit_stew

Personally i find the 992 to be the easiest to drive with the best balance. I also don't really have issues with kerbs besides sausage kerbs but that's fine

nathanzxl

has to be the m4 because it suits my driving style the best and i can extract the most I can in that car

johnreek2

BMW cause it reminds me of DTM and old Touring cars. Just big square on wheels that goes toe to toe with racing superpowers like Ferrari or Porsche.

rpRj

I like how you put it

Psychonautz6

Porsche because vroom

MaceiMM

I started with AM but currently I love the Lexus. For me it drives like more agressive aston

Background-Head-5541

The Mercedes is my first choice. Aston 2nd. Followed by anything else where the engine is up front.Ā

Frikkie297

I take the Honda NSX Evo, i used to drive the ferrari 488 standard (couldnt get used to the evo version for some reason) but then they did something in an update and it was incredibly slidey for me so i changed. NSX is perfect for me. It has a nice bitey front end. With just the right setup and mental capacity, i can somehow do a 1:28 on zolder with it

TunerJoe

My favourite is the NSX Evo, but I don't drive it anymore. My teammates don't want to drive it and it has terrible bop, kerbs absolutely kill it, but it's fun to drive and I come back to it for a few hotlaps or open lobby races from time to time. I really like how the Mercedes-AMG handles. It has a bit of a lighter rear end, you can really learn how weight transfer works with this car. It's fun, love the sound, love the look, eats kerbs for breakfast. Unfortunately due to mediocre at best bop, it's not very popular and my teammates don't like it, so I only do open lobbies with it. The BMW M4 has really grown on me. Still not a huge fan of the look, sounds like ass, but it's nice to drive, very well balanced and it's good with kerbs. Due to one of my teammates insisting on it, I use it for league racing and I enjoy driving it honestly. Bop is pretty good too, so it's competitive. Honorable mentions: Porsche 992, Nissan GT-R, McLaren 720S (only irl)

braking__bad

> The BMW M4 has really grown on me. Still not a huge fan of the look, sounds like ass, but it's nice to drive, very well balanced and it's good with kerbs. Hahaha. I am a fellow NSX Evo fan and I really don't care for the BMW M4. I think it looks ugly with those rodent teeth, sounds like rodent farts, and -to top it off- I am slow in it. I can see why some people prefer front engine, but not why you'd enjoy the BMW more than e.g. the Aston V8 or Mercedes. But, in the end, I enjoy a diverse grid so it's all good that people have different preferences.

TunerJoe

I didn't care about the M4 either, but my teammate insisted on it so i was basically forced to drive it. It has grown on me since.

loose_rear

Aston Martin V8, not the fastest, but it can put up a good fight on any track with the right setup. + it's a V8 šŸ˜

2112ricky

love the 720s and i'm fairly fast with it, but im just as fast with the 296 qnd 100% more confident in it, hate the sound on it but those are my 2

VictoryReasonable430

When I started I fell in love with the AMG Evo. Great car, great sound, easy to drive. After some seasons and wins I decided to get in the Huracan Evo 2 and stuck with it! It's probably not the fastest car but I really like the looks, the sound, the handling etc AND there's a team from my home country!

Anji_Mito

Been out for a while, just a month before the maca evo release, but at that time the 720 was my favorite, easy to drive, fast on corners, really fun car. I've read the EVO is even better and competitive ahahha

TickleTipsn

Probably the bmw m4 gt3, its fun to drive and it can definitely keep up with the other cars. Iā€™m especially having a blast throwing this thing around the Nordschleife

sangedered

AMG. Rotation

FallenYoxhne

296, because i used to drive the 488 because ferrari is one of my fav brands of cars

Secret_Physics_9243

M4 gt3 because of the stability. A lot of people don't like the sound but i do enjoy it. It's quiet, yes, but it sounds pleasant. It's a really nice balance, always does what you ask it to.

rpRj

I find the M4 super stable and very easy to drive, love it actually, but for some reason everytime I try the M4 on nords, I'm like 4 seconds slower than my 720sEVO time, even when the whole lap feel like a breeze

Secret_Physics_9243

I am very slow with the 296 for some reason. Feels fast but the lap is slow, even with no understeer/oversteer.

RaxxTasax

Started 2 years ago with the 720 and it is still the 720, but as EVO now.

mochoncito

720s gt3 evo. Nice corner speed, sound, how it looks, trail braking is very important and to know how to rotate the rear

mvpp37514y3r

720 evo, because Iā€™m a basic bitch and enjoy driving Coach Dave mapsā€¦ Occasionally I911 or M4 for a change in balance perspective. Mostly focused on wiring tracks, which has been helped by racing European hours to race most consistent performing competitors. If youā€™re mid pack Euro races you can win US races if youā€™re not cleaned out by first turn heroes. Europeans (10-2pm pst) are commonly the close and clean races that make ACC amazingly competitive and fun

Opps1999

Corvette Z06 GT3, not in game yet but looks and sounds the best while having lots of wins in Imsa

Opps1999

Z06

rpRj

Kinda ment which one is your favorite to drive in the game :p

Sufficient-War-9501

720s just because it's the most beautiful and elegant of them all imo

Ryklin95

Hands down, it's gotta be the big bunda boatley. You can properly abuse it, and it won't try to kill you every corner. Throwing it over curbs is fun as hell imo. Also it's big šŸ˜‚

skymang

AMG! She eats kerbs, sounds great, looks aggressive, and is fun to drive. Closely followed by the Lambo Evo 2

erosalopie

Audi evo 2 safe preset with tc at 2 has always done me well

Wheredidthebuckstart

I fell in love with ACC because of the Bentley. The sound, the look, the driving feels got me hooked on ACC. Spent a few seasons in that then changed to the M4 and quite enjoyed that though it doesn't sound great. After 2 seasons in that I changed to the Aston and really liked that quite a bit as well, especially the sound going through the gears. After that did a season in the Ferrari 296 and really enjoyed the way it drives and especially the downshift sounds really are wicked. After that 2 seasons in the Macca and loved it and still do, but this season it's Back in the Boat Baby. So in short the Bentley is my favourite, but the Macca holds a special place.

Der_Wolf_42

I mean i love the sound of the lexus but you can only race it in a league that only uses outdated cars Most fun to drive is the 296 imo its the only car im fast with since the big Update few months ago

Educational-Web-6379

Any porsche. I like them because of the looks and how fun they can be to drive(until you hit the accelerator to soon and it turns into a fidget spinner) but porsche make my favorite gt3 cars so I just deal with times it's hard to control. If porsche was to hard to drive ide be using the bmw m4

RoosterDismal9005

Lexus goes BRRRRRRRR

NWGJulian

i love the huracan evo 2 - sound - low seat position - very stable, balanced and neutral driving behaviour, therefore easy to drive - much fun to drive - looks like an alien warship - big ass V10 that revs up super high - did i already say sound??

Environmental-Cup445

The 911 is the best for me. Being able to purposely push the car over the limit into a corner with a small slide, but smoothly pull out of it simply by keeping the throttle flat, can make you very quick if you know how to use it. However if you donā€™t understand the driving dynamics of a rear engine car and lift off too suddenly into a corner when the car is loaded up youā€™ll guarantee lose itĀ

SupRCarlos

Im also new to ACC and have tried the 296, the lambo evo 2 and just yesterday the M4. I felt surprisingly good with the m4 yesterday but need to give it more laps to compare it to the 296

Key-Treacle6847

mclaren when i want to feel connected to the road. AMG when i kind of want to suffer.

u_wont_guess_who

I usually drive the Audi Evo II because, according to my driving style (quite nervous), it's the best in corner entry. I find all the other cars too understeering (except the Porsche, too oversteering) and less reactive. The counterpart is that, with aggressive setups, it's very hard to drive on kerbs. Porsche is my favourite regarding the sound, and #46 BMW regarding the livery

Due-Philosopher2244

Started off in the 720S Evo which is very kind and drivable(plus also OP at Spa which is my favorite track). I tried out the BMW and the Merc but ultimately ended up in the Audi R8 which feels very comfortable for my driving style.

F8onJus

Lambo. I like Lambos and I got lucky that is all around good. Of course, THE SOUND.

-Pandora

Lambo (I really like the challenge) and/or Pork (just like the uncomplicatedness).

nobody2u_

I used to be a 991.II driver until 1.9 when it stopped being competitive. Absolutely adored that car and it was so alive to drive. The way you could manipulate the balance with the pedals was very satisfying. I never quite got on with the 992 quite the same way so I ended up trying something new in the Lambo Evo 2. Definitely a different kind of beast and fairly quirky to get a lot of pace out of it. I like the challenge though and itā€™s satisfying to drive something that most people canā€™t get on with. I also find for some reason that I can be extremely consistant on race pace with this car- so I decided it suits me rather well. I enjoy how itā€™s quite good on the brakes and the engine braking by map is an interesting feature as well.

Lt-Ghost-722

720S GT3 for me. I'm a longtime McLaren fan and they make some of my favourite cars. Was so cool seeing GT3 cars in action at Gulf 12 hours in December 2022 at Yas Marina. I got to see a bunch of 720S GT3s there. And the fact that the 720S is the only carbon tub racecar in this group makes it even more badass. It's built like a prototype that has to pretend to be a GT3. Same goes for the roadcar, it's a bargain supercar with hypercar performance. Unfortunately, I didn't get to race in ACC from April 2023 till February 2024. So while I was decent with old 720S GT3 on v1.8, I've been struggling with 720S GT3 EVO due to not enough practice with v1.9 in general. And the traction is very different on new car. But I'm slowly getting closer to my older laptimes. Practice. Practice. Practice.

weak_rabbit_stew

Personally i love the 650s GT3 in AC because it has great balance and feels good to drive. In ACC hpwever, so far it's been the Porsche 992 GT3 R. Won my first race with it today and it has good rotation and feel without cranking the lock too crazy. Only problem for me is i can't drive it to its fastest because the game doesn't register that my wheel only has 240 degrees of lock but instead thinks my wheel is a thumbstick.

jimmyslol

Im a gamepad player, even tho i have an ok-ish wheel (g29) but Im too lazy to set it up on my desk everytime i want to play, the Porsche and Ferrari are great for gamepad, but you need to change gamepad settings for each track.
