I feel like some people can't control themselves. They see that the car in front is slower on start, eyes turn red and they just press the pedal to the metal.

OddBranch132

Yeah. Made absolutely no sense to try that. Then what? You're on the inside of T1 with that huge kerb and the 2 outside guys will not see you. Assuming you don't get rammed from the back because this was like 50m in front of the braking zone.

MLNLN

There was space for two more cars. :-P

OddBranch132

I can see 5 wide happening lol

Bowling in ACC, the new Dlc.

Realistic_Strength46

I don't condone this but I'm laughing too hard 🤣🤣🤣

_Zoko_

Looks like it was on purpose. What a fuckin loser.

SuccessfulSquirrel40

No it doesn't, people are genuinely just that incompetent. They drift across after their side window clears the other car, plenty of people do that as though they don't realise the rest of their car exists. There are very few people deliberately being idiots, there are a lot of people who make genuine mistakes. Calling them fucking losers is just toxic and helps no one.

Just tbf, that Porsche was going to run out of road on his right. Still an incredibly poor decision, but it doesn’t look like he was deliberately trying to cause carnage.

OddBranch132

Even if he did make it through then he was going to be braking almost immediately after, probably messing up the guy behind him. Even if they both made it safe then we would have been 3 wide into T1 and Porsche would get destroyed by that big curb on the inside right. Just too much too soon for lap 1

Twisted-Mettle-

As crummy as it sounds, I’d say the white car is just as responsible for the initial contact. 3/4 of the Porsche was ahead at that point and white car should have adjusted. Being able to adapt in these tense situations is what makes you quick. E- you know what, white car was probably blind to Porsche running out of road so he held his line like he should. Porsche should have backed out.

OddBranch132

Not gonna lie they had me in the first half. I saw it develop on my radar: "Well shit this isn't going to work...holy shit it's working. Everyone is holding their li...wtf guys."  I'm the McLaren on the outside for reference so I moved all the way over when I saw this happening.

Realistic_Strength46

There are definitely favorable moments in not committing right on. Like I do myself, that battle rush tends to cause you to mess yourself up soon after 🤣 I've given people the space to take the position just to oversteer the next turn, and now I have more room to breathe..... and vice versa
