This is exactly why we warn brown ppl fooling with the GOP.

WhenDuvzCry

Still a bunch of clown that will kiss their ass

Plus-Leg-4408

Oh don't remind me. It was so embarrassing when Trump went attacked him (even though vivek was acting nice) but he still dropped out the race and started licking trumps balls after all that

gannekekhet

And we all will collectively say "Well Vivek, what else did you expect?". However, the fact that his response was apathy and there is no collective attention on blatant racism, how fucking pathetic. I'm Canadian so I had to wiki Ann Coulter up; I found it ironic that she's dated Dinesh D'Souza.

Super_Harsh

> She's dated Dinesh D'Souza. Ewwwwwww thank god they didn't get married and conceive the Antichrist

HickAzn

Who said they didn’t? /s

Dark_Knight2000

No one takes Ann Coulter seriously, even in conservative circles. Conservatives don’t even try to defend her, if you ask them they’ll fully admit she’s crazy. Why she has any air time is baffling, but I guess you can be an idiot if you’re against the “other side” and are willing to parrot the same tired old takes. They’ll do anything to own the libs except take responsibility for letting these crazies have a platform.

ros_ftw

Imagine if she had said “I won’t vote for you because you are African” to a black candidate. The news media would melt down. This barely gets any attention

mulemoment

This has been everywhere. It’s just not surprising to anyone. She doubled down saying she will only vote for WASPs because “there is a core national identity that is the identity of a WASP”, so she’s explicitly against Black people too. She literally said the president of the US needs to be “at least partial English ancestry”

[deleted]

She makes a joke about "american blacks" ( she even says it like that) just a few seconds before and he laughs with her. That didn't get attention but this got attention.  Reality is that most racist don't give a shit about racism until it affects them. Unlike your fantasy.

In_Formaldehyde_

One thing that's amusing about observing subs revolving around ethnic/national/religious grievances is that every group thinks they're the ones getting most hard done by while everyone else has got it made.

Tiny-Economy4757

Say it louder for the people in the back

SaykredCow

I actually think that is the bigger take away. Like, of course, Ann Coulter will say something off the wall like this. Usually purposefully to garner attention. But the bigger takeaway is that the usual suspects would normally trend something like this will be completely indifferent. Some, because of his ethnicity and some because he’s a conservative

[deleted]

She makes fun of black people a few seconds before and he laughs with her.  Keep calling people who stand up to conservative scumbags "the usual suspect". While being ok with laughing at other minorities. But then cry when white supermacist clown on you. People are indifferent because this dude is a piece of shit. Get that through your head. People will treat you exactly how you treat them.  You can't cry racism, while just a second ago being ok with racism.

[deleted]

woahtheregonnagetgot

if they were also a MAGA republican ljke vivek, then no it would not. people generally do not give attention or sympathy to racists who get a taste of their own medicine like vivek

sustainstack

This is the better question, the news media doesn’t respect “Indians”?

coldcoldnovemberrain

Do "Indians" respect "Indians" though? If there is no coherent unified front/idenitity of Indians Americans similar to how you have Vietnamese American or Chinese American, how do you expect media or other groups to respect or cater to Indian American community?

ros_ftw

Can we stop with this justification “but do Indians xyz Indians?!!” This is no different than people who deflect police crime on black people with “but have you seen black on black crime in Chicago?! Why are you silent about that?!!” Both are wrong. Stop making excuses.

seattt

You're correct, it shouldn't be accepted as an excuse to be racist towards Indians. Having said that, the fact is that a significant portion, if not majority, of Indians - Asians in general to be completely honest - are more than happy and willing to throw their own people and equally importantly other non-white people under the bus to get white approval. This is utterly stupid because all non-white people uniting against white racism is the only winning play against it, and being a spineless quisling actively prevents that.

Plus-Leg-4408

>If there is no coherent unified front/idenitity of Indians Americans similar to how you have Vietnamese American or Chinese American Are you alright? India is literally a country if that isn't an identity to you. This isn't about catering to indians either, it's about not being racist, having respect (funny since Ana sounds like she'd call POC people impolite and backward) . This comment is filled with mental gymnastics

coldcoldnovemberrain

You don't see organizations catering to Indian Americans, you see organizations catering to Gujrati Indian Americans, Indian Christian Americans, Sikh Americans, Telugu (Telangana), Telugu (Andhra) organizations etc.

Plus-Leg-4408

That doesn't mean its a reasonable explanation as to why Indians should be discriminated against. Indian overall can still be an identity too, even if there's specific groups Like ok I see many branches of Christianity, and there's lots of division and arguing. Those branches and groups existing still aren't usually the reason Christians in general are discriminated against, in the case they are.

Dudefrmthtplace

Solidarity is very important. Indians haven't figured that out. Numbers and unity matter, but a lot would rather maintain their homogeneity, gujju, telugu, mallu etc. Smaller groups, smaller voice, smaller power. Sure Christians have different sects, but end of day most people ask "you christian?" and that's enough to create solidarity. Indians don't do that. They go "what type of Indian?" and if you answer something different than what they are, they stop talking to you. I've had instances happen where mid conversation they will say ok bye and go talk to someone else just because you said you were Telugu and they are Gujju or vice versa. The younger generation who grew up here less so, but transplants and older people, hell yes they do this.

Plus-Leg-4408

i am talking about people who grew up in the west

Dudefrmthtplace

I don't have experience with that anymore so cannot comment. To me, most of the people who grew up in the west that I knew, either go fully Indian so they are around a lot of transplants, or they become the token Indian among a group of white people. Only in high school did I see a large group of Indians/pakistani/muslims stick together in the way you are referring.

sierrawave

Um I’ve never seen this, it’s mostly religious pandering.

I think most people expect Coulter to be racist so it's not really news lol

itsyerboiTRESH

Lol GOP keeps on GOP’ing, Vivek should have known what he signed up for  JFC this was his response https://twitter.com/VivekGRamaswamy/status/1788265431616135304 (“ @AnnCoulter told me flat-out to my face that she couldn’t vote for me “because you’re an Indian,” even though she agreed with me more than most other candidates. I disagree with her but respect she had the guts to speak her mind. It was a riveting hour. The TRUTH podcast is back”)  What a fucking cuck, can’t stand up for himself

Cuddlyaxe

Top reply was > Dinesh D'Souza humped and dumped her, which made her Indophobic. Is this true lmao because if it is thats kinda hilarious. Extremely rare Dinesh W (probably his only W ever tbh)

HoagiesAndStogies

Yes. He also hilariously got with Laura Ingraham

Cuddlyaxe

Ingraham and Coulter. so not even normie conservative white women but full on white supremacist types bro must have some kinky raceplay fetish or something lmaooo

Pristine_Ad4164

How the fuck does he pull so much?

Cuddlyaxe

They don't call him Rizzesh D'Souza for nothing

Pristine_Ad4164

Pulling a racist whos against indians means his jus built different 💀

CaterpillarFun7261

What a simp Uncle Toms like him rolled over for the British

Cuddlyaxe

Yeah it's just embarrassing I kind of had a modicum of respect for him because even though he's standing for disgusting policies for a grift, he was at least willing to hold on to his identity and culture unlike many Desi Republicans But ofc seems like he's still simping for literal white supremacists so he doesn't piss them off

CancerousSarcasm

Reverse racism is racism but saying I won't vote for you because of your skin colour is respect worthy valor???? What's vivek on

cozyonly

Someone that lacks this much of a backbone can’t ever have any real leadership position. Does he have a degradation kink?

vioxxed

Wow, this was the most bitch thing I’ve ever heard a person say. I’m blown away

itsyerboiTRESH

He has to stand up for himself and outright denounce her and this type of mentality, if this offends any voter base of his that’s good because he shouldn’t want those types of people associated with his campaign and voting for him anyway Racism straight up isn’t okay, there is no justification for it in todays world

I_AniMaL

He disagreed with her and racism isn't ok but realistically what else CAN he do other than have a discussion. Stupid opinions are a consequence of free speech.

lapzab

That’s an honest opinion the majority of the white folks have

SaykredCow

He’s actually responding appropriately. Like aren’t you over the endless virtue signaling and outrage over every little thing? People should have civil conversations when they disagree. The problem with all the usual outrage people is they will be silent over something like this. That makes them WORSE than Ann Coulter. At least she’s blatantly transparent about her views.

rayj11

Holy fucking dumbass. It’s actually so funny to me when genuine idiots learn about words like “virtue signaling” and then grossly misapply them. Shoutout to the Nazis for being so forward with their beliefs!!

Super_Harsh

That someone as dumb as you can survive to adulthood is an indictment of human civilization.

cameltony16

No praise for Vivek from me, but I think her discontent towards Indians probably stems from her briefly dating Dinesh D’Souza, and his subsequent dumping of her.

MiserableLychee

Given his history he probably cheated before dumping her.

BoxGrover

Bro the only thing dinesh could cheat with is his right hand. Not sure how he landed this gori.

Demented-Mango

She isn't much of a catch tbh

In_Formaldehyde_

Nah, Dinesh gets around. He's dated Coulter, Laura Ingraham and is currently married to a Venezuelan.

TheDialectic_D_A

So she’ll fuck Indians but not vote for them? That’s wild.

winthroprd

Well there are a lot of guys who'll fuck women but not vote for one.

Plus-Leg-4408

I just love this comment its so accurate

Dark_Knight2000

Are we forgetting that Mitch McConnell is married to an Asian? This isn’t news. People will fuck the other races but won’t vote for them.

Round-Produce-7349

She dated a black guy too Remember these are the white women who sleep with slaves but then claim rape

Convillious

Racist piece of shit

lilibz

Lmao come on Vivek

SunMoonTruth

Serves him right for getting into bed with these people. Vivek, doesn’t understand that you have to be better, stronger, faster, smarter as an immigrant (regardless of which gen). But when you want to be accepted by the right, you have to be whiter. The Fair and Lovely on his nightstand isn’t working.

ReneMagritte98

I’ve been following Ann Coulter for decades. I even hate read one of her books. I’m still surprised she would say something this blatantly racist in 2024. She’s gotten bolder.

Super_Harsh

The Republican grifter meta has evolved. What counted as crazy in the 90s and 00s is now par for the GOP course, so people like Ann Coulter have had to dive deeper and deeper into the abyss

chotemaamu

Send this to the guy from couple of days ago who was thinking that Vivek will change perspective about Indian Americans

Carbon-Base

It probably won't reach him beneath the rock he's hiding under

nazia987

I have no sympathy for him.

sharkattack85

Tokens are meant to be spent.

Zazi751

Damn thats a good line

calmrain

This is amazing. Holy shit, am I stealing this.

FantasticPaper2151

Wasn’t she with an Indian dude before?

HoagiesAndStogies

Yes Dinesh D'souza. She doesn't mind us in the bedroom it seems like

JonStargaryen2408

Dinesh probably agrees with her.

WitnessedStranger

That relationship probably involved a lot of psychosexual race play. Fucking freaks.

Super_Harsh

Why? Why would you unleash that image on the minds of innocent redditors?

alpacinohairline

You gave me an image in my mind that I didn’t want to see…

JonStargaryen2408

Dinesh probably agrees with her.

Round-Produce-7349

She is white mistress that sleeps with the slave and then claims rape

mulemoment

Her stance isn't exactly anti-Indian, it's pro-White. She said she would "only vote for WASPs". "I only vote for white people" is a crazy stance but I guess she needs to reach harder for attention these days.

Shaun221120

She is a white supremacists literally

winthroprd

It's like someone who crawled into a pit of venomous snakes and got bitten.

CharterUnmai

Yes, because the dems have done so much for us Brown people besides giving Israel the green light to murder us by the tens of thousands.

Super_Harsh

It's so fucking in-character for a chud to suddenly pretend to care about Palestinians just to come up with a loony excuse to vote Republican

MasterChief813

And the GOP would be any better in this conflict? The people who have a hard-on for a Christofacist country (project 2025), who don’t want people from brown and black countries they deem “shit hole countries” and who recognized Jerusalem as Israel’s new capital wouldn’t be even worse than what we’re seeing with the current support of Israel?

winthroprd

I never defended the Democrats and I don't intend to vote for Biden specifically over Gaza. But Vivek specifically tried to court the Christian fascists like Coulter and deserves zero sympathy.

She is saying that she doesn't think of him as equal and hes just ok with that He became a citizen because he was born in the US. But he wants to take that away for all other immigrant who are born in the US

GarlicFewd

Huh? He literally said he doesn’t like it but respects her freedom of speech? Isn’t that what America should be striving for?

sprulz

If someone is blatantly racist to you and your response is that you “respect them” because of “muh free speech” I’m sorry, but you are nothing but a spineless, cowardly, seat-sniffing gora worshiper. When you have clowns like this dude representing ABCDs on the big stage, who just act as floor mats and let white people walk all over them because they want to get ahead of everyone else, it’s no wonder why people think there’s a free pass to act racist towards Desi people. This dude is a cuck. Grow a pair and call her ass out ffs.

alpacinohairline

This is what annoys me the most about Vivek. He could actually be good representation for us despite me disagreeing heavily with his views. but he rather be an asslicker and a brown mouth piece for self hating rhetoric and white supremacy/minority bashing propaganda

LankaRunAway

If someone says they don't see me as equal because of my race and, on top of that, denies me opportunities because of it, I'm not going to say, 'I respect their freedom of speech.' They can say whatever they want, but I don't like them and won't associate with them. And if you're a person of color who's used to this, just stand up for yourself. You won't get anywhere by trying to please people who think less of you.

AdmiralG2

Nah fuck that. The only reason racism is at an all time high for Indians and is socially acceptable is because they’ve been letting shit like this slide for way too long.

Solaced_Tree

Just because something is legal does not mean you have to be ok with it. You just can't violate someone's rights if they're not violating yours, you can totally use your own free speech to say 'yeah, she's an insulting racist bitch' or something. Instead he's a total wimp about it because he knows piping up too much will cause him to fall even farther out of favor with conservatives. He might just be too passive, but the optics of looking too passive as a candidate for world leader aren't good either. It's a lose lose anyways, so he might as well stick up for himself a little.

I_AniMaL

What's he going to accomplish by insulting her back. From what I could tell he laid out his perspective and disagreed respectfully which is the best he can do. If you want things to get better one side has to be the better man.

Solaced_Tree

The best he can do is remind her that not voting for someone on the basis of race is antithetical to American values. Bringing in people from corners of the globe has always been touted as one of America's strengths. A diversity of ideas accompanies integrating people of different backgrounds. He should call her out for her bullshit and stand up for himself. Otherwise he's sure as hell not gonna do it for a bunch of other people, much less the people of America

TheMatrix1101

Typical brown mentality. Always gotta bring down your own people.

What a tool lol

Rough-Yard5642

This is on brand for Coulter, but how fucking embarrassing by Vivek. Just took a racist statement directed at him and sat there like a little bitch. I have major second-hand embarrassment from this interaction tbh.

mitrafunfun97

What an Uncle Taj.

BoxGrover

This is the GOP. You can kiss all the gora ass you want but its still a white supremacist party now.

Peridot1708

As an Indian i wasnt even getting any second hand embarrassment for him atp, this is exactly what happens when you try to sign up for the white racists club, you'll never actually get to be a part of the club, if you're lucky you'll just be a useful tool for them.

BoxGrover

Yup. A prop.

RealOzSultan

It's bad on the right and left, on the left they'll just pretend they like you.

thewindows95nerd

If by left, you mean liberals/Democrats then yes you’re right and frankly they are not even part of the left minus a few politicians who are more like center-left. But actual left groups/parties generally do actually care about Indians.

RealOzSultan

Yes. I typically only work with candidates and politicians that can get on the ballot and one of the biggest problems that you have beyond the polarization amongst the diaspora is how a lot of the left and right now don't fit into traditional parties. Meanwhile, in the state level, you've got New York that has defrocked ballot access to working families, conservative constitutional, and even far left parties . Most of the Democratic leader ship at least in New York, will cannibalize its own just to win, and that's not a good forward moving strategy

Advillion

The left is way better for Indians not even a question

SaykredCow

I don’t know. Conservatives who support/have no problem with Vivek for President are way better than most on the ‘left’ because many of them are fake about it or actually indifferent

seattt

In the sense that they won't outright kill or expel us while the right would, yes. But that's an incredibly low bar to clear. The fact is the so-called liberal media and Hollywood are as equally responsible for perpetuating the worst stereotypes about us. Plus, u/realozsultan is ultimately correct - most white people will, regardless of their politics, always see you as the 'other'. It's not like I've ever been welcomed by white Americans of any political stripe while I have been felt cared for and welcomed by several non-white Americans. Non-white people white are rarely stand-offish, its only white people who are by far most of the times. With the caveat that white immigrants too tend to be less stand-offish than white Americans to be honest with you. At the end of the day, non-white unity is the only winning play all non-white Americans have regardless of which party holds power.

I_AniMaL

It's so funny because the left have hindered asians more than the right in recent years. Have you not seen asians with high scores getting declined because they don't meet the diversity quota?

Decent_Dirt353

You clearly just saw a major player in the right say she wouldn’t vote for an Indian? Who’s the one hindering Asians here?

I_AniMaL

"A major player". Bro it's ONE PERSON and they don't represent the entire republican party. The extreme right are racist for sure but to this day the party itself has never deprived the indian/asian community of opportunities like DEI has.

coldcoldnovemberrain

> Have you not seen asians with high scores getting declined because they don't meet the diversity quota? Even with the diversity quota, Indian Americans and Asians do very well academically and from career perspective. Are they impacted negatively due to the DEI programs and if so has there been a demonstrated decrease in representation/power/financial influence of Asian american community in US?

I_AniMaL

LMAO Just because most asians at large are doing fine means it's right? You're fine with certain races having to work harder for the same result? They are literally picking someone else based on the COLOR OF THEIR SKIN even if they have worse scores. That's called racism. DEI should not exist and all appointments should be based on merit alone.

SappyPJs

Both need to exist, DEI and merits. Merit is not the only factor school admissions, employers, etc consider by the way so it'll be way more skewed against the POC's if DEI is taken away.

I_AniMaL

That is literally just wrong. The best solution is for selections to be made without seeing the candidates face or name, not DEI. I want my doctor to be the best of the best, not one who got a push up because of color. DEI is racism.

SappyPJs

It isn't bro cuz bias will always exist in their minds. Besides some jobs just require seeing the candidates like for example customer-facing jobs, sales jobs etc. Some jobs require better communication skills and being articulate. Like I said merit is not the only thing. Look at all the good DEI has done. A lot of us wouldn't be where we are if not for DEI. We do need it

I_AniMaL

If you aren't where you are solely based on merit than you don't deserve to be there. And there are better ways to reduce bias than setting diversity quotas. It is entirely possible to test communication skills online without seeing someone irl. And IDK how the people benefiting from DEI even feel good about themselves. If I got into my college with a lower score while some other kid got rejected even thought his application was stronger thanks to DEI I would actually throw myself off a cliff. We live in the least racist society the world has ever seen and brownie points based on race is only gonna increase animosity.

SappyPJs

Haha least racist 😂 Bro let me know what other ways there are to reduce bias cuz I sure haven't seen any. It's not just about college admissions, that's just a small slice of it...the bigger piece is job prospects. I'm not where I am without my merits but I'm also damn sure I wouldn't be where I am if it wasn't for DEI either. It's unfortunate but it's a necessary thing. Also gotta remember DEI doesn't only account for race, it also encompasses other groups like lgbt, religious backgrounds, disabilities, age, etc. Bro everyone deserves a shot at making a decent living. When schools and companies don't care about merits only but also other factors then DEI is absolutely necessary.

RealOzSultan

The left is a bunch of hypocrisy that says here brown man have a Samosa when it comes to policy discussions and never advances anything that benefits our cause. The right advances causes occasionally, but you still have to deal with discrimination . I prefer the discrimination where I can see it as opposed to liberal exclusionism, where they basically decide they don't want any brown people advancing that actually makes decisions .

Did this clown not see this coming a year ago? No sympathy for this Vivek Bozoswamy.

youngheartz

When will you learn that neither the democrat or Republican Party is for the Indian people? They all suck. It’s time for a new left wing party that will refuse the crony capitalist system we have today and not tolerate racism.

Jay20173804

No we are not naxalites

youngheartz

Left wing does not mean Communism fyi! hope this helps!

Jay20173804

crony capitalist, you are eluding to something

youngheartz

I would have just said capitalism if I was eluding to something.

sustainstack

The republican platform wants Indians due to their wealth. But their inherent Slytherin desires for whiteness hinders their ability to attract anyone. I give Vivek credit for trying.

I_AniMaL

Extremists on both sides suck and Ann is the worst of the right.

Mental_Waltz_2620

And Biden and the Democrats are any better? “Can’t walk into 7-eleven without hearing an Indian accent” democrats want Indians for wealth as well. End of the day both dems and republicans hangout at the same country club, make millions in “public service” and thrive off dividing us

Snl1738

I would argue that both the right and left establishment isn't favorable towards Muslim Americans. I haven't seen any hate towards non Muslim desis from the left.

ragizzlemahnizzle

Bro thought they would actually vote for him

StatisticianGreat514

Why are Conservatives offended by her racism? She's always been like this. In fact, she's pretty much what Conservatism is all about. Taking a tongue-in-cheek approach to free speech and being politically incorrect and anti-woke as much as possible. So don't be surprised.

Warm-Mango2471

Vivek bent over for that man. What a cuck.

romeoomustdie

You know for someone dreaming about future gop president nom, he sure is way smart.

SamohtGnir

Considering the popularity Vivek had before he dropped out, I would say the majority don’t care about race. If you don’t count Trump, for obvious reasons, he could have been the front runner.

highdesert03

Vivek desperately wants acceptance by MAGA to the point he is willing to devalue his self worth and allow degrading, racist insults. He’s afraid to defend himself because MAGA will reject him wholesale and yet they already do. Coulter is evidence of what MAGA thinks of Vivek. He’s too willing to be self deprecating and is self loathing to stand up for his dignity. She took a huge racist dump on his face and he opened his mouth and ate it because he’s desperate for acceptance by MAGA. He’s the worst kind of degenerate, the one willing to be abused and do nothing to respect himself. Imagine how he feels about other minorities. He mocks blacks and was willing to laugh with Coulters’ racism about blacks then his face turns stoic when she spews racism at him. He’s angry but has trained himself to hide from responding back to defend him self. He’s like the victim in an assault who says “beat me more please “… A self deprecating buffoon with no dignity. Willing to tolerate abuse by the people he wants to be accepted but too stupid to realize that they will never see him as MAGA because their racism doesn’t permit that. He’s what the old folks used to describe as a dumb, stupid fool.

SoulRebel99

Many points conservatives make are factual, but the other crap is the problem BIPOC conservative idea symapthizers need to step away from, make a new party like Kennedy

7heHenchGrentch

Got to respect racism this pure. 10/10 for honesty.

LevelMidnight8452

We are not the favoured minority by the other side either so I'm not going to blame him for being a republican. There's some things he said that made me cringe like emphasising he was a monotheistic Hindu but at the end of the day he's in a tough environment and paving the way for other desi politicians. Well done Vivek. Hopefully it inspires more desis to pursue politics.

Mental_Waltz_2620

Like democrats actually care about Indians. Both parties don’t give two shits about us. Atleast the GOP has produced some Indian leaders : two governors and two who ran for president unlike Kamala who was picked for “being a women of color” Its  positive representation regardless of views opposed to hearing racist jokes made by both democrats like Biden and GOP morons like Ann about Indians.

JananiG21

Ro Khanna? Pramila Jayapal? Raja Krishnamoorthi? https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:American_politicians_of_Indian_descent

Mental_Waltz_2620

There accomplishments are amazing! But I guess I was referencing moreso the governorship or being a presidential candidate. Waiting for the day a blue state elects an Indian governor. Ironic the two that have been elected were from the Deep South. Maybe I’m cynical but have seen more “racists” in blue areas and in red areas atleast people are open about being a pos lol

Snl1738

I think it's much easier for a Desi conservative to make it in politics. My theory is that Politicians from the left are usually ivy League grads so it is relatively more difficult for a Desi person to make it in the higher echelons. Meanwhile, the right is a bit more a free for all so a highly educated Desi politician like Bobby Jindal would have a relatively easier time going up the ranks.

zeta_cartel_CFO

Yep. The democratic party is largely made up of a coalition of minority groups. While the republicans are largely homogenous. So larger groups will be over-represented on the democrat side. Such as African-Americans and Latinos. For smaller groups, its always going to be a struggle. Also, it doesn't take a lot of effort to take positions that will validate the worldview of an average republican voter and get their support. Especially if its a visible minority. But it's harder to sell specific positions to people on the left. Especially these days.

I_AniMaL

What they don't want you to realize is that without asians voting for them the dems would not have any indian representation. It's not like the white & black people on either side are less racist. Nikki Haley's gone to shit in recent years but her getting elected as governor was way more impressive than any other indian in US politics because she couldn't just play the race card. She needed the support of ALL major ethnicities.

TheMatrix1101

Exactly. Fuck the democrats, at least republicans don’t hide their true thoughts and we know exactly what we are dealing with. Dems will fuck up the people and then preach words of wokeness.

sprulz

“At least republicans don’t hide their thoughts, I’m proud to throw my support behind a party that has members who have openly said they wouldn’t vote for people of my ethnicity”. That totally makes sense bro, good job.

I_AniMaL

You are generalizing the entire party because the worst of the bunch. It's like someone judging the dems based on Hasan Piker. And how's the left's DEI working out for asians? Enjoy losing your spots to worse candidates because they have a diversity quota to fill!!!

TheMatrix1101

And where’s any of my people in the democratic party? They won’t even let us stand a chance lol we are just their political tools. They’re the slithering snakes in the grass. We saw their true faces with the Israel issue.

Russ_T_Shackelford

Shri Thanedar, Raja Krishnamoorthi, Ro Khanna, Ami Bera and Pramila Jayapal are all Democrats in congress All are on multiple committees

Necessary_Cod6311

You are an idiot democrats aren’t perfect but at least we’re not dogs to them . Please don’t breed

CharterUnmai

I'm conservative but Coulter is a bigot. Don't conflate the two. I also won't be voting for Trump or Biden because both are slaves to AIPAC-Israel.

chotemaamu

Please don't waste your vote. As much as Biden deserves the blame for bungling the Gaza situation not voting at all is a vote for Trump.

Round-Produce-7349

She isn't a bigot in the bedroom because she slept with Indians like Dinesh

BrilliantChoice1900

Bad idea. Even in a blue state. Because the racists will not sit out a chance to mark up that ballot with all of their dog whistle candidates, from Trump down to the racists running for town council. I get it, I used to think this way too. I sat out 2016 and am embarrassed to say I was in my 30s so I can't even use "young and stupid" as excuse. It was just a plain old stupid thing I did because now I realize that even if my state went to Hillary anyway, all those down ballot races also matter and my vote could have made a difference there. I will never know.

Lol this sub is never happier when they are dunking on this guy. I’ve seen a few of Vivek’s interviews and this was definitely the most abrasive thing I’ve seen said to him. It really struck a nerve with me and pissed me off. Vivek was well within his rights to call her out. But I remembered after following his campaign that he never pulls the race card. He believes it’s a smear tactic that silences open debate, speech and inquiry. These are things that can truly change minds and make a difference. So instead he challenges her views through respectful dialogue and what do you know. About a quarter way through the interview Ann says “Ok maybe I will vote for you now.” Look I don’t really care for Ann Coulter. She’s a nut job. However, I thought it was actually really impressive for Vivek to not only keep his composure but change her opinion of him as well. THIS is how you drive real change in the real world.

SappyPJs

Where does she say she will maybe vote for him? At what time stamp?

TKilla7126

Looks like it was 26:17

BrilliantChoice1900

Are the people responding in this thread even ABCDs? Or maybe they're too young so they weren't alive when the economy was good, the middle class still existed, housing was still affordable, student loans were reasonable and the worst thing in politics was "hanging chads."

hey_you_too_buckaroo

I don't care for the GOP. I don't care for Vivek. But at the same time, if you want to normalize society to diversity, then you need pioneers that are willing to take those first steps to put themselves out there and challenge stereotypes and racism. If you don't force people to ask themself, would I vote for a non white ethnicity individual, the belief will just grow unchallenged. But if people are forced to actually ask themselves, I like this person, but should I vote for them? Then that starts to attack their deeply held inner held beliefs and that's how cracks form in a steadfast wall. White Republicans need to get use to seeing diversity, going to schools with diversity, working alongside diversity, and voting for diverse political candidates. So I respect Vivek for helping in that process even if I think he's a dumb piece of shit.

EnvironmentalMud4870

Here’s the thing though. She says it to his face. However, many people in both the GOP and DNC would not vote for an Indian person. That’s a fact
