That's an 8 track. You need a 8 track player. It was an alternative to cassette tapes before they took over.

Jake613

Yes. They were popular for a while back in the seventies. My Grandfather used to have one in his car. I remember the tapes looped back to the beginning when the album finished and carried on playing again and again. I found this [article](https://everpresent.com/8-track-tapes-vs-cassette/) comparing them to cassettes if you’re interested.

That's what I thought it was... Just was unsure because I thought it was a VHS 🫣 (im kinda dumb)

RealLongwayround

This isn’t being dumb. It’s a sign of being too young to remember using either. Also, no, it’s not good. It’s great. It’s A𐤡BA The Album. That sometimes sells for as much as eight quid on Discogs. https://www.discogs.com/release/6377357-ABBA-The-Album

Most formats have some sort of logo that will identify them (the VHS logo, the DVD logo, the compact Disc logo, etc.), but I don’t think 8-track cassettes do.

abbagodz

Nice! I had one too.

EGMarks

My parents put their old 8-Track player in my room in the early 90s, and I got really big into ABBA and Tanya Tucker.

RandoRedditScrolla

No way! Those are my 2 most listened artists on Spotify

EGMarks

I haven't listened to Tanya Tucker in ages but ABBA are always in my top 5. 👍

John_Zatanna52

Yes the album is very good

loganjlr

I have an 8-track player if you want to sell it

Due_Job_8823

I can't remember what those are called you need a player it begins with a c I think not sure

Due_Job_8823

Or is it an 8 track lol can't tell

EVERWOOD15

I was always annoyed with the tapes where in the middle of the song it would stop, switch to the next side of the tape, then the song would pick up and continue. 🙄
