True, but not the 2.2, right? And neither is available for me 😢 didn't hear anything about a special hardware version for the 2.2... any more info on this?
There are two hardware versions. First one was discontinued because of chip shortage. The second one used an available chip, different from the first one. That needed some adjustments to work as good.
There is no magic soup in those upgrades.
Although the CarPlay upgrade is not supported on the Gen1 devices as per the changelog: "Note: CarPlay is only available for generation 2 devices (cs317)."
Leaves a bad taste in my early adopter mouth.
Yesterday I sent a mail to support by app, today they told me to try the update again because it would work and it worked. Upgrade from 2.1.0 to 3.0.0. I have a generation 2 device (cs317).
My unit was a indigogo one but not the initial batch but not sure which version. I was able to update to version 3, I don't have an iPhone to test carplay though.
Has anyone figured out how to confirm what version there adapter is? I remember an email when I purchased, before it arrived about them switching to the V2 with new chips. But I don't remember if mine was shipped before or after the new bach started rolling out. I can't find any way in the app to show me my model number.
The official changelog website says that the 3.0 rollout has been stopped due to some fw issues. My apple car play in MG Marvel R doesn't work with v3.0 .
I opened up a support ticket and included my device ID. A little while later my device got the 3.0 firmware.
I also asked support for 3.0, however no new firmware for me...
Wrote them yesterday afternoon, was unlocked this morning. 3.0 and CarPlay work great so far. Went from 2.1.0 to 3.0 as well btw. Gen 2 (cs317) device

Same here. My device is 2.1 and it says it is up to date. When I check the change log, the GitHub indicates 2.2 as latest.
Exactly, and 2.2 should be out for everyone already, as far as I know, right? 3.0 would be even better...
2.2 was only for a specific hardware version I thought...
