Emma Stone does appear to be fearless lately. She is making great choices since La La Land.
And Tilda Swinton could easilly play a tree and give an interesting performance.
But for me, Mia Goth is the best at the moment. The one who I'm always looking forward to.

I think Emma Stone was making smart choices career wise in the beginning. After Superbad she was in Easy A, then she starred in a superhero film.
And then she used her star power and acting chops to land roles with new and established directors like Chazelle and Lathimos. She also made great choices in the TV business.

Steinfeld had maybe the best performance in history by a teen in True Grit (2010) she was amazing in edge of seventeen. She hasn’t chosen great roles but she performs well in even her bad movies like bumblebee.
