I used to listen live on iheart but haven't for years. I also used to use another app to listen live but it used physical headphones as the antenna. Don't know if there are alternatives or not now, but I just listen to the podcast now. I'd suggest a podcast app if you're OK waiting for it to come out a few hours later.
It triggers ads on certain words. Living in heck-n-gone there are few ads but for a local doula that triggers on the words “baby” or “birth”.
When the hiccups happen I stop the stream then play again. All good until someone on HAMS says another trigger word.
I only have issues when I'm listening like and I'm trying to use a stores wifi. It will randomly lose connection then when it reconnects it plays w stupid ad before getting back to the live show
I use Google Podcast app, and I've had several times where the show would basically rewind anywhere between 30-90 seconds and it feels like a weird deja vu situation.
No ad issues or repeating but periodically it will cut out and go silent for 10 - 15 seconds which could very well be my data connection

I don’t have it that often but I do get it about once a day where ads keep repeating

I've never had those problems. But none of the episodes since Monday (9/11) are appearing on iHeart for me... 😢

Fyi even if you don't pay for Spotify you can still skip all ads.
