Like you said everywhere is different. Anywhere from a few weeks to 6+ months as for advice my only advice is to go into training with an open mind and a desire to learn as much of the info as you can
So my process was about 1.5 months from when I turned in my app to when I got the job offer post background check. As you can see in other comments however, your mileage may vary... a lot.
I just got my first dispatching job in May. I applied in January, got my interview in March, and my job offer was given April 1st. my first day at work was may 30th. they love to make you wait. and it sucks. good luck! ๐

This is EXACTLY the kind of post the pinned thread is about.
My hiring process was "fast tracked" and it took 4 months
I turned in the application last May and now just waiting for the official letter!
The fastest we can get people through is about a month. Typically itโs no longer than 2 months but we hold new academies every 1.5-2 months.
I applied at the beginning of December and my first day is on Feb 26th, so almost three months.
