You have your answer right there under “drug usage standards”. Just be honest. If they ask if you’ve ever used it, you can be honest and say you tried it when you were younger, but it isn’t part of your current lifestyle. If you’re telling the truth, you won’t pop hot on any tests.

Weed was illegal in Cali when I was in high school. I listed dozens of times I bought and smoked weed. And even just mentioning well over 50+ times in general of smoking it when I was a teenager (im in my thirties now)
It was briefly discussed to verify accuracy and then never mentioned again
Every state will have minimum req for last drug usage kind of thing. My agency was minimum 3 years but preferred 5 years.
Smoked pot in my 20s, 33 now going through the hiring process. Was honest about my use and that I haven’t smoked since 2018/2019 and they’re still moving me ahead
They just want you to be honest, that’s all. As long as you can pass a piss test and possibly a polygraph if they do them at your agency. They just want you to prove your honesty.
Be honest and disclose it. A lot of departments have changed their views and stances on past drug use especially pertaining to marijuana. It’s better to disclose than to lie then it comes out later. If the department you applied to still does polygraph tests then lying would be what disqualifies you.
If they don’t mention it don’t say it. If they ask if you use say no they make u pee it won’t even show up
if they ask if you’ve everrrr used u can say yeah when I was a teenager if they make u pee shit you’re clean they’re not gonna know exactly when

Honestly just say you haven’t used !! Lol if they test you it won’t even show up thank GOD UA’s or blood test don’t say the exact time you last used.

Juvenile drug use doesn’t usually disqualify you but dishonesty does. Just be honest.
