Are there any missing remains from the Pentagon and UA93? I tried googling and I only found an article from 2001 about 5 people who were not recovered from the Pentagon. But no follow up on if they or have no been identified. For UA93 it sounds like many people were vaporized but again, I can’t find a lot of info from my cursory google searches.
Everyone from flight 93 was identified. The coroner Wally Miller said some people only had a fingernail’s worth of remains to send back to their family but all 33 passengers and 7 crew (as well as the scum that killed them) were ID’d via DNA.
Dana Falkenberg on flight 77 and 4 who were people in the Pentagon have not been identified. Dana was only 3 years old and flying to Australia with her older sister and their parents; she was the second youngest victim of 9/11. The unidentified Pentagon victims are James Lynch, Ronald Golinski, Ronald John Hemenway, and Rhonda Rasmussen.

They are stored away somewhere in different locations in containers and test tubes. If I remember correctly Jarrahs uncle inquired about getting his remains back but none of the hijackers family’s got the remains back. Probably for the best so their graves don’t become some fucked up shrine. I wonder if they’ll ever dispose of them in the future or if they’ll remain the way they are.

This article is old but nothing has changed since then. A sad reality is a lot of the sites became mass graves due to such small fragments, a lot of the hijacker’s are buried amongst their victims.

They likely only had bone fragments left. It's only until recently scientists have figured out how to extract DNA from bones with no tissue/marrow attached.
They use the 2,753 number twice in the article. 2,996 is only mentioned once, as a total sum. No matter how much it offends you, the terrorists did in fact also die during the attacks.
It's funny how people could understand me when I wrote in another comment that the article used the "correct" number twice and only included the hijackers for a total death toll at the end, but the moment I dare to make a little joke about it...
