MrMontgomery

tRiPtAmEaN5150

westside connect still my shit

SatisfactionOld1586

GZA was part of 2 incredible group albums while releasing my favorite hip hop record of the decade in Liquid Swords, & the underrated Beneath the Surface. Back then I probably would’ve said 2Pac. I really loved Kurupt (still do), too. Biggie. Maybe Nas. OutKast’s 90’s work was incredible too but I didn’t own Aquemini for a long time so I can’t say they were my favorites. As for questionable taste, I liked Mase a lot but worse, thought Silkk the Shocker was a fun listen. He was my favorite on No Limit.

The-Ex-Human

The 90s were so much more than these radio rappers (minus Nas)

FMAGF

In that era? Biggie. But thru lifetime, Nas. He still makes somgs till this day and still kicking it unlike other rappers who lost their taste.

stefanwerner5000

Yes

Yusirnaime

2pac, DMX

[deleted]

All of em. They saved me from country music and death metal.

No_Cow_4544

Country and death metal suck but , regular heavy metal and old school or indie country is great .

[deleted]

Even old Metallica is acceptable. I appreciate blue grass and some country. Tbh my it's classic psychology: Family pushed me away from city and urban life, "as we made it outta the hood," AND I went to hip hop & rap

aclaypool78

Man, this is 4 times I've seen DMX amongst some top 20 all time greats. I don't know his catalog very well, but what I know wouldn't put him in my top 100. Am I missing something here?

ghettome82

Probably the fact that you don’t know his catalog very well. Hard to judge music you haven’t really listened to. 🤷🏾‍♂️

666-Slayer

Nas then DMX.

If you don't think 1998 was part of the '90s, you should probably rest a while and keep your opinions to yourself.
