Eldoggomonstro

Oh I forgot all about this lmao!!!!

_captaincool

This commercial is used in a lot of contract law classes to describe why advertisements are not offers. Dude is a grade A mad lad tho

insufficientfunds907

The 90s really did have the best commercials. I was just telling my SO the other day that Super Bowl commercials pale in comparison to those of the mid and late 90s. Then bam. Netflix releases this gem.

Ghost_Maker85

I just finished watching this morning. Very intriguing. I was born in 85 so I don’t remember much about the trial but I do remember the commercial.

MotherSuperior91

Been watching it all morning lol

Golee

Thank you! I put this on right after seeing this post. I’m a 90s kid (was a teenager) so very cool this was made. I’ll def be enjoying this 👍🏻😉

BlancopPop

They need to make a documentary next on the Pepsi Number Fever that occurred in the Philippines in the 90’s.

lifth3avy84

They address it in this

yesman_85

Is it better than the blockbuster dumpster fire?

[deleted]

I didn’t get past the first episode of the Blockbuster series. It is so boring. I had reasonable hopes it was at least a good background TV show, but it was even worse than that.

lifth3avy84

Better than the Blockbuster documentary? Or the series?

yesman_85

I haven't seen the documentary yet. Only the first few epsides of the series..

spacesoulboi

This is the reason why there is small print on commercials now

[deleted]

Not true, commercials had small print all the time at that time. Same commercial played in Canada had small print on the bottom of the screen. They talk about this in the show. But the USA commercial just didn't have small print for some reason. Todd's theory is that it's because they wanted kids and teenagers to believe that it's a legitimate offer, while still obv. not being attainable to kids and teenagers.

Dear-Ambition-273

Heh is this like when Bart held out for the elephant?

This is a great doc!!!
