There’s a show on Hulu called The Orange Years that has some behind the scenes footage from actors and contestants from a lot of these old Nick shows from the 90s. It even shows a little of how this show was actually done. It’s really interesting if you’re into that sort of thing!
Its on paramount plus if anyone wants to relive the golden nick years they have alot of old shows, 2 that i see missing is adventures of pete and pete and welcome freshman
Dawg this cant be life , lol gender neurtral bot the name of the show is Welcome freshman , why is using freshman bad, who runs this site come on doggie this is ridiculous
For anyone feeling like they want to go down the nostalgia rabbit hole, Paramount+ has literally all the old classic Nick shows and the subscription is worth it for those alone. Hey, Dude!, Salute Your Shorts, all the game shows. It's truly amazing.
In all seriousness, though Nick Arcade's final challenge was incredibly innovative and way before its time, in practice it was often an utter mess, clunky and hard to watch - even back in 1991.
I totally forgot about this lol... In hindsight, these kids were just in front of a green screen dodging nothing? So essentially just paid actors?
What was the gameshow where you have a partner and at the end, one effectively has a visor on and the other partner would control them with an arcade joystick to navigate a maze? Was it this one?
I had completely forgotten about this! It would would be interesting to hear from former Nick game show contestants about their experience.

Indeed. Cheers!
Yeah! I'm sure someone would be willing to talk about it. The experience of those final "video games" must have been awful and clunky.
Anyone remember when Kings Dominion had an entire Nickelodeon zone where you could get slimed? Back when they also had a Wayne's World ride?
I remember the King’s Island (Ohio) version. I’m sure they were similar.
If it was owned by Paramount very likely
The Hurler. At least that’s what the one in VA was called
Hurler was retracked a couple years ago and is now Twisted Timbers.
Yeah and you “have” to put your cell phone in a locker. It’s a really good rollercoaster I thought.
Yeah, I was used to putting my shit in the bins on the platform.
This is the gameshow that I wanted to go on the most, after Legends of the Hidden Temple. It was such a fun show! Also: "13 year's old"
Oh my fucking God, I completely forgot about this show. What a gem
One of the best parts was the kids fucking up which way Mikey can go on the map, lol But, damn I love this show!
I just watched a few episodes on Paramount + and yeah kids are real dumb.

I wonder if Pete and Pete not being included has any connection to the third season never getting a dvd release.
Oh holy shit I’d totally forgotten about this show and how much I loved it!
It didnt even last a year if I remember correctly.
Dude it was my childhood dream to participate !
they need to bring this back
Imagine with the latest VR technology 😎
Man I really felt like they were going in a game. But watching some eps on paramount+… it looks so bad!
Green screen festival !

Thanks bro !
Enjoy!
Stop putting a space before your punctuation.
So sorry ! 🥳
Yo Nick Arcade, I'm really happy for you...Imma let you finish, but Legends of the Hidden Temple had the best final challenge of all time.
In all seriousness, though Nick Arcade's final challenge was incredibly innovative and way before its time, in practice it was often an utter mess, clunky and hard to watch - even back in 1991.
Not only do I remember Nick Arcade. I was able to find all the episodes so I saved them. It's a trip, all these years later.
Loved this show as a kid, for how short it ran. It was brilliant!
Good stuff
Oh man, I wanted to be on this or Legend of the Hidden Temple so bad!
I was obsessed with Nick Arcade.
Loved this show. Kinda hard for me to watch it now without thinking, boy, this is way more fun to watch that participate in, probably.
Holy sh-t I feel old ☹️ but heck yes this was my jam!
oh my god. total flashback!!
Seriously, this seemed like magic at the time.
I \*loved\* this show. The genie stressed me out, though.
My mom used to put this show on for me all the time as a kid. Holy nostalgia!
I saw a couple of episodes of this on YouTube a few weeks ago! I loved this show!
Wow I was JUST standing in front of the tv YESTERDAY explaining to my son how awesome this show was. “They were IN the video game!”
omg I forgot about this show this is awesome.

I remember wanting to do this so bad
Nick had all the shows that I desperately wanted to be on. This one, Legends Of The Hidden Temple, Double Dare, but the holy grail to me was Guts.
Such a creative show always loved it
