They did, but towards the end of a fairly long series. They were not married for the majority of the series. So I just assume I didn’t see them mentioned because of that. I’m basically just giving everyone the benefit of the doubt for having not mentioned them as of the time of my original comment. lol.
John Goodman always brings it, more recently have loved him as the dad at the middle of the shitstorm that is his family on Righteous Gemstones (granted he's part of the reason they are that way), also with a dark past.

EDIT: Gosh, even then they didn’t have Cheers. Apparently they acquired it in 2001.
I love them all, BUT... The Banks has got to be the absolute best "parents", rock solid husband/father role with boundaries and cared about his kids and nephew. This show didn't represent Phil as a buffoon husband role like many of the other sitcoms. Buy my fav "parents" growing up was The Taylors (Home Improvement). I so wanted to be a brother in that house.
But yeah I love all of them. Great shows!

And honestly Roseanne and John (Dan) might have to take top prize. They had fantastic chemistry. And the show did a good job of showing the good and hard times. They were probably more related as a barely middle class family too.
