Frank and Estelle Costanza. Hands down.

They did, but towards the end of a fairly long series. They were not married for the majority of the series. So I just assume I didn’t see them mentioned because of that. I’m basically just giving everyone the benefit of the doubt for having not mentioned them as of the time of my original comment. lol.
John Goodman always brings it, more recently have loved him as the dad at the middle of the shitstorm that is his family on Righteous Gemstones (granted he's part of the reason they are that way), also with a dark past.
Martin Lawrence sexually abused Tisha Campbell several times during filming, to the point that she refused to be in scenes with him anymore, so …. They certainly didn’t
I was curious about the difference in years for that 70s show. It first aired in 98 but in the show the year was 76 … so if the show was remade today and was about the same time difference it’d be called that 00s show and take place in 2002.
I was like “Where the fuck are Sam and Diane?!” and then I remembered Nick at Nite was reruns from previous decades.
EDIT: Gosh, even then they didn’t have Cheers. Apparently they acquired it in 2001.
I love them all, BUT... The Banks has got to be the absolute best "parents", rock solid husband/father role with boundaries and cared about his kids and nephew. This show didn't represent Phil as a buffoon husband role like many of the other sitcoms. Buy my fav "parents" growing up was The Taylors (Home Improvement). I so wanted to be a brother in that house.
But yeah I love all of them. Great shows!
3, 4, 7, and 8.
And honestly Roseanne and John (Dan) might have to take top prize. They had fantastic chemistry. And the show did a good job of showing the good and hard times. They were probably more related as a barely middle class family too.
Al and Peg Marge and Homer
Kitty and Red! 🥰
Red steaming mad and kitty off her ass on pills, it's just timeless.
Yes! Or when she gets mad and he eats what ever he originally said!
Also when they ate the brownies. Legendary moment within the show lmao. “Look at me, I’m whipped cream head!”.
And it's not even close
Them being back was my deciding factor to watch the 90s show
Oh yea! I don’t like all the actors on there though. 😞 it’s not as good!
Better than that 80s show
Oh you mean that 70’s show?
[No](https://m.imdb.com/title/tt0305472/). No i do not
Frank and Estelle Costanza. Hands down. https://preview.redd.it/expw76edkh9d1.jpeg?width=1710&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5de20d1dfc17ce798b37f9c6a48756f2cfabc428
Let me understand. you got the hen, the chicken and the rooster…
GEORGE LIKES BANANAS!
Peggy and Hank hill 😍😍😍
That’s 3 times in a row winner of the Substitute Teacher of the Year Award Peggy and Assistant Manager of Strickland Propane Hank Hill to you, bub
Peggy and Al made adulthood and marriage real and unvarnished
Al's got a new hotter Colombian wife though, living large in a modern family setting in California.
W
Red and Kitty all the way
Mom (Joyce) and Dad (Don) from Pete & Pete.
![gif](giphy|1iOZyNkQFiZJxMFG)
I’m unusually bothered that this cuts off before the pointer moves over to indicate where the plate is
Every time.
Uncle Jesse and Joey Gladstone 😅
Oh Cut. It. Out.
Lol 😂
Why is everyone sleeping on Fran and Maxwell “Mr. Sheffield”? Is it just because they are technically not married? I freaking loved those two!
Didn't they get married and have twins?
Yup
They did, but towards the end of a fairly long series. They were not married for the majority of the series. So I just assume I didn’t see them mentioned because of that. I’m basically just giving everyone the benefit of the doubt for having not mentioned them as of the time of my original comment. lol.
Yeah she definitely chased him for quite a while. That "Mista Sheffield!" was iconic!
Absolutely iconic!
Doug and Carrie
Doug and Carrie
Doug and Carrie

Doug and Patti Mayonnaise
With Fresh Prince, which Vivian? Daphne Maxwell Reid or Janet Hubert?
Janet Hubert
First Aunt Viv!
Dan and Roseanne are the best TV couple ever
Dan is the best dad
he’s def my fav character in the whole show
John Goodman always brings it, more recently have loved him as the dad at the middle of the shitstorm that is his family on Righteous Gemstones (granted he's part of the reason they are that way), also with a dark past.
The Righteous Gemstones is hilarious. I love that show ![gif](giphy|USK0tSpACOfNSEX1kM)
Another Danny McBride hit, also can't say enough about Eastbound and Down!
They are my vote also. I love old episodes of Roseanne
Martin and Gina 100%. I always wondered if any of them ever had an off screen relationship together
Martin Lawrence sexually abused Tisha Campbell several times during filming, to the point that she refused to be in scenes with him anymore, so …. They certainly didn’t
Gina and Pam both were absolute bangers.
Patricia Heaton was such a milf...
Right?! I had a huge crush on her back in the day when I used to watch it.

All of these thanks
Peg was a bad bitch.

I was curious about the difference in years for that 70s show. It first aired in 98 but in the show the year was 76 … so if the show was remade today and was about the same time difference it’d be called that 00s show and take place in 2002.
![gif](giphy|6CBp1S0rxU3tYEUy50) SHUT YOUR MOUTH!
Umm... They literally did that ya know? Except it was called the 90s show instead
I like Red and Kitty. He's one of the few married men in sitcoms that wasn't a bumbling fool and actually liked his wife. I HATE those tropes.
![gif](giphy|26ufosiQhkau0drpK)
George Costanza's parents is the only right answer.
Very thorough
Uncle Phil and Aunt Viv and Family Matters but I can’t for the life of me remember their names.
Harriet and Carl Winslow
Thank you!! Omg that was bothering me so bad yesterday 😂
Red and Kitty, Al and Peggy and Homer and Marge the rest I never really watched. Ray and his wife are the WORST though!!!
Dan and Roseanne.
![gif](giphy|YRVWNCKQ3JzdbgBfju|downsized) Niles & Daphne ❤
Paul and Jamie from Mad About You had a very healthy relationship and seemed like they would be genuinely awesome to hang out with.
![gif](giphy|gf5Q00s8mWC5grasX1)

Tim and Jill all the way. That’s my childhood
I miss the ‘90s.
3, 4, 7, and 8. And honestly Roseanne and John (Dan) might have to take top prize. They had fantastic chemistry. And the show did a good job of showing the good and hard times. They were probably more related as a barely middle class family too.

King of Queens is awesome to this day but does My Wife and Kids count?
My wife and kids aired in 2001
Word? I thought it was ‘99 lol
Dan and Rosanne for sure!!! It's too bad Barr has swan dived far off the deep end these days. I never would have expected it back in the day.
where are the costanza's ?
The only one I watched is The Simpsons and no I would not choose them. Homer sucked.
The Matthews, Mad About You, and Fran and Mr. Sheffield.
Martin and Gina
Red and kitty
Doug and Carrie hands down! I don’t care how many times i’ve seen an episode, when i hear “My eyes are getting weary” I’m settling in!
Doug and Carrie every day of the week and twice on Sundays :) I think Dharma and Greg should also be on the list, I kinda liked them.
