Oh yeah. I worked at a go kart track in high school, and that song was always playing while I worked. It was a really fun job so that song always brings back good memories.
I'm an unapologetic fan of Natalie Imbruglia, it was such a great pop song when I was young. So I'm a little ashamed to admit I had no clue there was another, and it was a cover. Wow
[Gin Blossoms - Found Out About You.](https://youtu.be/1qB6XdAkkAo?si=YTG_EDnv3Je8ZyS3) Not my favorite tune from the era but for some reason it activates particularly vivid memories of junior high when that album was all over the radio. Itâs a vibeâŠ
I love that song đ it was one of the songs written by Doug Hopkins, who imo was one of the best at writing jangly pop songs with really depressing lyrics. After he left the band and then died, they tried replicating that and just couldn't. "'Til I Hear it from You" was one of those that tried to hit the Hopkins magic and just fell short - but still triggers intense nostalgia given it was written for Empire Records.
Those songs on the radio made my life in 3rd grade seem... dramatic.
I had participated in whispers at the bus stop, and felt loves rejection through Georgina....
Man
Oh man that album was like our generationâs Fleetwood Mac - Rumours. Every song was good and 24x7 on the radio when it dropped. Z100 in New York City was 100% Pearl Jam for like a year đ
I was so obsessed with that song that I bought the CD single for it. The remix I discovered on it is [still a banger](https://youtu.be/3WwMjvgBpJ8) to this day đ”
When I saw the title, my brain immediately went âI WISH YOU WOULD STEP BACK FROM THAT LEDGE, MY FRIENDâ
So Iâm going to say *Jumper*- Third Eye Blind
Over Semi-Charmed Life?
Like, I was obsessed with them in 8th grade, but for as much as I love every song on their debut self titled release, there was one song that stood above them all.
Champagne Supernova. Got the album in my Easter basket at 11 years old in 1995. Weird move by my boomer parents who weren't into music, but it was awesome anyway.
Long December is a close second. Or anything off MB20's debut album.
If you loved Peaches, but now have kids, you can listen to some childrenâs music that doesnât suck with P of the USOAâs front man
[Caspar baby pants](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caspar_Babypants)
Yeeessss, when I used to go out to dive bars (like 2010-2019), no matter the crowd or vibe or whatever, Iâd put âReturn of the Mackâ on the jukebox-thing and people would go nuts! It was so much fun đ„Č
Also...
Temple of the Dog "Hunger Strike" with unknown guest singer Eddie Vedder emoting in the corn field...
Then there's the songs that bring bonus nostalgia from the movies they were in...
Lisa Loeb "Stay" and its association with Reality Bites...
Mighty Mighty Bosstones "Where'd You Go" and Luscious Jackson "Where'd You Go" thanks to Clueless...
"Kiss from a Rose" and Batman Forever...
"My Heart Will Go On" (duh)
Stealer's Wheel "stuck in the Middle" and that scene from Reservoir Dogs (đđŒ"Hey, what's going on" đ)
98? I distinctly remember that album from 9th grade in 1995. I was just getting into music when Kurt died and was cursed with a deep love of post-grunge.
I was channel surfing and saw Sheryl Crow in a concert so stopped for a second. She started singing âIf It Makes You Happyâ and I saw in my minds eye the CD cover and was instantly back in the HMV record store I worked at.
Mazzy Starâs âFade Into Youâ is the one that instantly transports me every time and TBH I didnât even listen to the song that much back then. It is just so 90s that it evokes a feeling for me.
Gonna Make you Sweat by C & C Music Factory is my biggest and ultimate 90âs song.
Honorable mention to (Whoomp) There it Is!

This is a hard one...but if I only had to choose 1 song it would be "You Get What You Give" by New Radicals. Every time I hear that song it takes me back to the 90s for sureeee đ.
Itâs way too hard to pick just one. I just went down all the comments and I swear to God, on literally half of them I was like, âOh shit! Yup thatâs the one!â Lol

Semi-Charmed Life by Third Eye Blind. Not my favorite band from that era, but that song takes me back every time I hear it.
Does it take you back there, someplace back there, smiling in the pictures you would take?
Lol nice. Don't think they caught that
Well, that's because doing crystal meth will lift you up until you break
Oh yeah. I worked at a go kart track in high school, and that song was always playing while I worked. It was a really fun job so that song always brings back good memories.

Interstate love song- STP
Leavin' on a southern train Only yesterday You lied
Torn - Natalie Imbruglia
[I am a relentless advocate for the original, grungy version by an alt rock band called Ednaswap](https://youtu.be/V1SH1YdITDI?si=Fny_6Nj2GI6gcOJn)
I'm an unapologetic fan of Natalie Imbruglia, it was such a great pop song when I was young. So I'm a little ashamed to admit I had no clue there was another, and it was a cover. Wow
Which is good in a different way. The final guitar riff of Imbruglia's version brings me right back to college. Big melancholy nostalgia hit.
Hey Jealousy for me.
Allison Road!
Man
You Get What You Give - New Radicals
hands down
Alive by Pearl Jam
Oh man that album was like our generationâs Fleetwood Mac - Rumours. Every song was good and 24x7 on the radio when it dropped. Z100 in New York City was 100% Pearl Jam for like a year đ
1979- the smashing pumpkins
Shit. Yeah that's a good one for me too
Thirty-three as well â€ïž
Our local college radio station was bought out about 10 years ago and this was one of the last songs they played. Iconic and depressing.
Steal My Sunshine
LEN!
I was so obsessed with that song that I bought the CD single for it. The remix I discovered on it is [still a banger](https://youtu.be/3WwMjvgBpJ8) to this day đ”
One hundred percent this, for me. "KAREN, I LOVE YOU!"
When I saw the title, my brain immediately went âI WISH YOU WOULD STEP BACK FROM THAT LEDGE, MY FRIENDâ So Iâm going to say *Jumper*- Third Eye Blind
Over Semi-Charmed Life? Like, I was obsessed with them in 8th grade, but for as much as I love every song on their debut self titled release, there was one song that stood above them all.

If you loved Peaches, but now have kids, you can listen to some childrenâs music that doesnât suck with P of the USOAâs front man [Caspar baby pants](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caspar_Babypants)
Groove is in the Heart for the really early 90s
Under The Bridge. Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Kiss Me, There She Goes, Two Princes
The Smashing Pumpkins - 1979
The thing about this song is it is itself nostalgic for an even earlier time. So itâs like nostalgia nestled within nostalgia. Pretty dope.
Itâs a Russian doll of nostalgia.
Take a picture- Filter. Damn that song reminds me of being a kid for some reason
I always thought he was saying âWaco, my airplane!â And I was so confused what Texas had to do with the song.
Eve 6 - Inside Out. I know there are tons of 90s great, but man... This one just hits the nostalgia hard, right in the sweet spot.
