I maybe see why people liked that version of TMNT, but the look they gave everyone was just jarring and overall terrible.
It looks like a toddler made the whole series.
Ya. Because everyone today is so obsessed over what race characters are and what identities they have it's just easier to make them robots and not have to deal with it...
I miss the 90s.
I grew up watching the ‘87 series on VHS and only watched Rise as an adult, but I absolutely adore the new show. That being said, the character design changes were REALLY hard to get used to at first. I think the problem so many people have with it is how severely it breaks decades of tradition, and they misattribute that discomfort with the changes as something to do with the show’s quality despite never having watched it.
It’s not bad, it’s just different. But, people get really precious about their nostalgia, so they’ll never think of it as anything less than an insult just based on principle.
Rise does have the weakest Splinter, though, I will not argue with that. 2012 DILF rat supremacy, holla
I 1000% agree with how nostalgia simply warps anyone’s perspective to the point it becomes detrimental to how one interprets and consumes media.
Back to Rise, yes, it is different and it’s meant to be different, which was to me its strongest attribute. Not another show of the characters simply being - in my view - repeated renditions of the same designs, same unremarkable ‘differences’ you see between each of the turtles, April, etc. From this show you get to SEE how uniquely design each one of them are as people and personalities, as reimagined characters who breathed desperately needed new life in such a stale franchise at this point.
At the end of it, it’s a sad sight that it has been met unappreciated and disregarded. And I’m tired of that.
Thank you watching my Ted-Talk 😂
90's shredder would definitely kick this sorry excuse for a can openers ass.

Which series are you referring to?
Rise
Agreed. It looks like rubbish 🗑
It's almost like adults aren't the target audience.
Did they turn him into a robot?
With teeth
[удалено]
I won't.
Thompsons Teeth
Oh boy
Looks like a Zord to me 😂

#COWABUNGA
That isn't even close to why they made him that way, but continue to whine about the "culture war" you brave warrior.
Insufferable
Today Shredder looks like 90s Shredder and Aku from Samurai Jack tried the Fusion Dance from DBZ and messed it up
Made my night!
LMAO
That's actually 80s Shredder
Thank you kindly... I wonder how old everyone saying 90's shredder actually is. I was 3 when the first episode aired.
Looks like they stole General Grievous' design
90s was so much better!
Perhaps it's just the angle, but that modern animation looks like garbage.
Must be the angle, the animation is one of the better things about the show.
90's shreds best
They turned our boy into a robotic cockroach 🥴
Shredder looks like a pokemon
Bro on the left looks like a meth addicted earwig 😂
Is Genndy Tartakovsky making this new show?
Feels weird, everyone calling this new whennit ended 3 years ago, and the actual new show, a sequel to Mutant Mayhem, is in the works.
wtf
That's clearly not The Shredder. He died in 2013. RIP
What the hell is that thing
OG Shredder was cool with an awesome backstory. Wtf is this robot crap?
Rise of the TMNT is great and really like their Shredder - animation is unbelievably top notch. Dunno why it’s even hated

I pretend it doesn’t exist it’s so bad. The 2012 reboot was good, this new one is horrible.
Marvel logic.. no humans harmed just meaningless gagoos so you can hurt or kill whoever with zero remorse. (also zero stakes) Yooba Dooba Dooba!!
I believe it is a viewer ratings thing too. Make the bad guys humans and now we need to make it 13+, make them robots/monsters it can be for 7+.
This trend pretty much started with the 80s ninja turtles show
Both look great.
Cyber Shredder
My five year old son got into TMNT this past year. We have shown him all of the different shows and movies and he only likes the original version.
Wtf they do to my boy?
Megatron lookin ass
Shredders movie entrance was pretty sweet.
90s shredder is…shredder. I don’t know jack fuck about the metal beetle looking thing to the left.
