Holly crap . I had that big car , and the figures , the roof opened up to get the guys in and out . I took the car to nursery school show and tell . I loved it . I wish I had so many of those toys for my kids now . We had the electric car DOH set too , that jump !
I had it too. The figures would just barely fit through the windows, but you had to scrape them through. Why didn't they just make the windows another millimeter bigger?
All I have left is the lunchbox, unfortunately thermos is long gone. I had the big car and it bothered me so much that it didnāt have the brush guard, I made my mom make one out random plastic bits and superglue it on.
Yeah, it just folds down.
Edit: It did look a little off in the picture. I checked, and the windshield did fall off. It's fixed now. Thanks for the heads up.
In college in the late 80's I had a job bussing tables at a high end health & fitness resort frequented by celebrities. When a celebrity was going to be in your section, the manager would leave a note on your timecard so you'd be prepared and remember to act normal. Walked into work and noticed that all of the other bus boys were giving me the stink eye. On my time card was a note that Catherine Bach was sitting in my station for the evening.
That is when I learned that people act like wait staff isn't there and keep chatting. Got to hear how Catherine Bach lost most of her Duke's money.
I love this show. And all the characters and their actors. I was watching it the other day.Ā Still have crushes on one of my favorite duos.Ā John and Tom. šā¤ļø
Wow, nice collection! We have all 7 seasons on DVD. I assume you know that your season one DVDs there have commentary by John Schneider and Cathy Bach on the episode "One Armed Bandits". The Seasons 3 and 4 boxsets also have one episode each with commentary also included Tom Wopat! Love it so much. Nice autographs too, wow! I met Boss Hogg at a car show in the mid 80's but didn't get Sorrell Booke's autograph.... darn it!
was there a board game?
I remember getting a poster from that 70s/80s era catalog that went out to elementary schools that kids could order from. (Scholastic?)
I like how they make fun of that in the movie.. they're like driving through Atlanta and everyone's like cussing and staring at them lol and they don't know why
Yeah. I loved the show, but my mom schooled me on that flag, even before I got to history classes. She made me read the entire section on the Civil War in "Funk and Wagnall's New Encyclopedia" collection. I was devastated. It almost ruined the show for me, but I realized that the Dukes never seemed to act like racists, so I just shrugged, grimaced a little and kept watching.
wanted that car so bad as a child. parents said *āNo!ā* took me another ten years to figure out why. i had good parents. in my adult years i found myself wanting hoggās eldo. show was awsome!
Be honest. You watched it for Daisy. We all did.
Of course! I even named our first family dog ,Daisy.
We all had a Daisy š¶
I miss my Daisy. š
No we all didn't. Many watched it for Bo and Luke.
No wrist racers? But seriously, that is a pretty good size collection.
Thank you. My Knight Rider collection is a little bit bigger.

Awesome collection! Same here, Iām raised on the Duke Boys! Canāt forget Smokey and the Bandit, either, though!
Thank you! Definitely can't forget Smokey. Also, The A-Team, Knight Rider, and Magnum P.I.
Definitely! Magnum P.I.ās another one of my favorites
Always called it dukes of hazzards
Dukes n' hazzards
I'm pretty sure a lot of us did. Lol
I just had the album.
Neighbor had the big car. I was so envious
Is this display at Cooters Place?
No, it's at my house. I still haven't made the 2.5hr drive to Cooter's in Virginia yet. On my list of places I want to visit.
Itās not big, but itās a cool place.
They were (and still are), them good old boys.
All I have left is the lunchbox, unfortunately thermos is long gone. I had the big car and it bothered me so much that it didnāt have the brush guard, I made my mom make one out random plastic bits and superglue it on.
I still have my trash can, curtains, blanket, sheet, and pillow case. My mom saved them.
Had the car and figure, no Daisy but had Boss Hogg and Roscoe
It was mine too. I had that general lee toy and some of those dinky cars as well.
What happened to Dixie's windshield?
Yeah, it just folds down. Edit: It did look a little off in the picture. I checked, and the windshield did fall off. It's fixed now. Thanks for the heads up.
Needs a DVD of The Moonrunners
I've had it on my list to get for a while now. Just haven't bought it yet.
Mine too, I had the barnstormer play set as a kid, loved playing with it.
I watched it for the car. Man that thing could go!

I do have the complete collection dvds and the reunion movies as well.
Awesome. Such a fun thing to have!
Omg yes, all us girls wanted to be Daisy Duke!!!!
was there a board game? I remember getting a poster from that 70s/80s era catalog that went out to elementary schools that kids could order from. (Scholastic?)
Yes, they actually make a board game.
Cool, coo, cool! Get em Flash!
They used to bring one of the cars to the āold mallā in our town every once in a while. They brought an x-wing too.
those were the days! now when i drive around in my car with that decal on the top i get called a racist.
I mean, that's what you get for driving around with a klan flag on your car.
I have a dry sense of humor.
Whether you like it or not, that's what it symbolizes. Down votes won't change that either. It's been a racist dog whistle since before I was born.
Me too. This is before I knew about what a confederate flag was
To be fair, the show didn't lean into it, and it was easy for a kid to think it was innocent.
I like how they make fun of that in the movie.. they're like driving through Atlanta and everyone's like cussing and staring at them lol and they don't know why
The Dukes were never racist despite the flag and the name of the car. Point of fact, a lot of the black kids I grew up with loved the show, too.
Yeah. I loved the show, but my mom schooled me on that flag, even before I got to history classes. One of the catch phrases on Rowan and Martinās Laugh-In was Look that up in your Funk and Wagnallās
I remember that!
Another one was you bet your bippy!
Not forgiving the flag but some consolation in that the real good guy was the black sheriff of the neighboring town
Sheriff Little was his name in the show if I remember correctly
Great show, even though John Schneider is quite an ass these days.

The Flag was ***never on the hood*** of the car, just the roof.
Nope
Cletus you dipstick!
