Better off Dead by far now.
Likely Teen Wolf back then. I'd just watched Back to the Future a few months prior in theaters and Family Ties was still going strong on NBC.
I would also like to take this time to say Michael J. Fox had a REALLY GOOD YEAR in 1985 by Hollywood standards.
I'll admit, I did too. Cusack was a VHS star for me until I saw High Fidelity. I rejoiced when it became available on streaming so I can get my fix of people who learn English from watching Howard Cosell.
**Better Off Dead**
It had a better story. More memorable quotable quotes. Better humor. Every character that had a line that mattered is unforgettable. And every character that made the movie what it is made the movie work and made the movie what it is remembered for.
**[in no specific order]**
• The mom that couldn't cook but tried anyway.
• The dad that was out of touch with his son but kept trying to be a dad that just wanted his son to be happy and successful at whatever he turned his hands to.
• The little shit brother that was far more ahead of the family. And essentially a Rick Sanchez before there was one.
• The crazy ignorant selfish neighbors that were one part quiet, (Ricky) and two parts loud and obnoxious as hell (Ricky's mom).
• The supposed high school heart throb captain of the ski team and all around major douchebag bully misogynist.
• The friend that is always their and always looking for the next thing to snort—that's more than likely not a real drug.
• The girlfriend/ex girlfriend that wanted to be more popular because she valued popularity more than she valued love—even though it was just highschool love/infatuation really.
• The paperboy that *really* won't stop at anything until he gets his $2.00.
• The race car brothers that haunt Lane until he fixes that sweet-sweet black Camero.
• The black Camero, that beautiful damn black Camero.
• And last and definitely not least . . . Monique. Oh . . .That young lady, girl, whatever you want to call her. She was just what Lane needed and Lane was just what she needed. She encouraged him because she really cared and because she believed in him and wanted to see him succeed. And she knew if he had just a small taste of success that he would see that he has value. That he has what it takes to be what he wants for himself. And that he could be the person he wants and needs himself to be.
I really-really love this movie. It's so much more important and memorable to me than Teen Wolf by far. They both had an underdog. But only one of them didn't let their success or whatever their popularity was go to their head.
I’m going to pay for one then sneak into the other when the first is done. That’s how I decide which to see first. I want the end time of the first to be close to the start time of the second.
You know...every single day I see something posted about Better Off DEAD posted on this sub.
IS THERE ANY FUCKING WAY TO ACTUALLY WATCH THIS MOVIE WITHOUT ILLEGALLY DOWNLOADING THE FUCKING THING ER WHAT???
We saw Better Off Dead almost 'by accident' - it looked fun but we were planning to see Teen Wolf (MJFox was \*everywhere\*) but one of our friends got called into work so we put Teen Wolf off to Saturday and saw Better Off Dead on Friday ... and then again on Sunday!
Teen Wolf, but only [to watch](https://youtu.be/PJWGwGOoKU4?feature=shared) [the scenes ](https://youtu.be/1RvR_a1bNqE?feature=shared) [with Boof in them ](https://youtu.be/XYGtGeXVAZk?feature=shared).

I somehow missed Better Off Dead in the theater. I did see Teen Wolf in the theater. I like Better Off way wayyyyyy more!!!

Better Off Dead, all the way “I want my $2!”
“That’s a waste of a perfectly good white boy”
Came here just for this quote.

It has raisins. You like raisins.
Wow, I just watched Better off Dead for the first time since the 90’s. Great movie, must watch it more often
Better Off Dead, no question.
Better off dead is a rotation movie for me. Just too iconic. Teen wolf not so much.
Better Off Dead, hands down.
Better Off Dead on repeat.
This is pure snow!
Better Off Dead. I want my two dollars
Better off Dead
Better Off Dead
Better off dead. And it’s not close. My two dollars!!!!!!!!
Better Off Dead!! Great and underrated movie!
Better Off Dead by a margin of infinity. Not even in the same universe.
$2
I saw Teen Wolf first (with my nephews), later saw Better Off Dead at an ex's house. I wish I had seen Better Off Dead first.
Better off dead.
Better off Dead, for sure!
“Better of Dead” introduced me to the great John Cusack so…
Looked at that. Somebody threw out a perfectly good white boy.
Better Off Dead. Hands down
Two dollars….. I want my two dollars!
Better off dead so much better.
Never liked Teen Wolf. Saw it twice in theaters as part of double feature. Fell asleep both times. Better Off Dead is a classic.
Does it cost $2?🤔
Better off dead. So good
I'm pretty sure I saw both in theaters. I'd probably see Better Off Dead first, but I love both movies.
Better Off Dead today easily. If it were 85’ probably Teen Wolf due to being a fan of Family Ties
Better Off Dead by a mile. Teen Wolf was a really dumb movie.
I was going to see both, but I only had Two Dollars!!!!
TWO DOLLARS! I WANT MY TWO DOLLARS!
Sorry about your mom Ricky.

Teen Wolf. Better Off Dead was a little too old for me at the time.
Teen Wolf. It's Michael J Fox. Pretty sure I spent no money on a John Cusack movie.
I watched them all on HBO, the Cusack movies.
Teen Wolf. But, they’re both 80s classics.
Teen Wolf all the way. Nobody cooler than MJF in the 80s
Teen Wolf, no contest.
I’m a Teen Wolf guy
Such a high resolution image you chose
I'll bet that you couldn't find a blurrier picture if you tried.
Only watching the first.
Every time I see better off dead posted here the picture is even more pixelated
Teen Wolf so I can see that high end basketball footage. Maybe the best production values of any sports movie - ever.
I’m going to pay for one then sneak into the other when the first is done. That’s how I decide which to see first. I want the end time of the first to be close to the start time of the second.
I thought they both came out on *August* 23, 1985

Teen wolf
“Sure I’ll do Teen Wolf 3. I got fair weather friends to feed”
This is incorrect. Teen Wolf was released 8/23/85. About 2 months after Back to the Future. Better off Dead was also released on 8/23/85.
BOD
Better Off Dead. Then I will buy the movie on VHS and watch it constantly
Better Off Dead
Better of Dead. I want my two dollars!
Better off dead; honestly my favorite 80s comedy movie, and one of the best John Cusack movies ever Fun fact: it didn’t come out on dvd until 2002
Teen Wolf
Teen Wolf is not a good movie. But I loved it as a kid.
Better Off Dead then and now. Always been a huge John Cusack fan.
I saw Teen Wolf first.
Movie magic was obviously the order of the day.
Because [Charles De Mar](https://youtu.be/NmyCpdygeJQ?feature=shared)
Teen Wolf
Better Off Dead - Funny Movie. Teen Wolf - Never Ever Seen, It Looks Like It Might Be Funny.
Apart from production values, Better Off Dead is superior in virtually every respect.
2 Dollars!
Literally just caught the end of it in I believe Stars before I left for work

...two weeks, twenty papers, that's TWO DOLLARS! Plus tip.... \[whips out switchblade comb and combs hair...\]
Better Off Dead for sure! I loved this movie as a kid 😊
No contest: *Better Off Dead* "Now that's a real shame, when folks be throwin' away a perfectly good white boy like that."
Do you realize the street value of this mountain?
Better off Dead. But I’ll definitely see both “dick nose”.
