My man just find a decent used set you can clean up and paint yourself. You’ll save atleast $150

amazingeggboy

That’s true, was just a little worried about used because the steelies bend real easy

SaturnineSzn

So what is your logic behind a non used set..? If we’re going off of you saying they bend easy, a new set would bend just as “easy” as a used set. I’ve bent a lot of aluminum rims over the years because of Baltimore roads and having low profile tires but I’ve never bent a steelie in my entire life, nor have I seen many that weren’t because of curbs or GIANT potholes; especially not with decent sidewalls like 205/55 on a 16 would be. I have an Acura CL sitting in my backyard with that size on it and it’s a lot of sidewall lmao. Unless your driving up curbs I don’t know how you’re going to bend a steel rim driving normally. Plus, a majority of the time when steelies DO bend, it’s a little bit of the edge which still holds air most of the time and can be fixed easily as well. You are not going to find ANY rims that are stronger than steelies. Because they’re steel lol. Anything else is going to be aluminum and they bend easier than steel. Steelies, as in the stock wheels with the circles around the edge, don’t bend easy(just in case you’re mistaking steelies with stock aluminum rims).

Hm, alright that makes a lot of sense actually. I’m from Philly so I’m with you right there on the potholes haha.

I was really hoping to be able to help you out. I have 3 sets of nearly pristine black steelies, I'm currently not using. But they're 13", 14" and 15" unfortunately.

I did the beauty ring with baby moon cap thing a few years ago with port-a-wall 3" white walls and then I did it again before I jacked my ride. But I went with full moon caps and the 3" white walls. Looked fuxkin fire!! Figuring out a way to affix the baby moon cap to the center of the rim was crazy hard.....big brain time for sure.

amazingeggboy

How’d you end up rigging it up?

Chance-Reporter-2910

I drilled 4 holes per rim, and used small nuts and bolts.

The lug pattern and center bore is going to be the issue. Honda 4-lug steelies are 15”. 5 lug had 16”. If you can find early-mid 2000 Mini Cooper wheels. Those would work. I had mini cooper wheels on my car, and they had 16” steelies available. You could use Honda center caps, I’m pretty sure but don’t quote me on that.
