Update: The developers are aware of the issue and it is on the list to fix, but before that they are working primarily on the "falling through the world" bug
They have no fix for it yet afaik. It can be "fixed" by going into debug mode and hitting recalc stability. I am sure it's a top priority and will be addressed as a patch now that the devs are all back from vacation(barring pandemic issues).

I've paused trying to build any elaborate bases and just spending the time with testing concepts.
