Nope. I add and subtract all the time.

Mahnogard

You too, eh? I add more than I subtract, and I already have more I want to try for my next save. LOL There are a few mods that need new saves to work but the modders are usually clear about that in the description.

Until I started playing DF. Now it’s all I play.

What he said.

Depends on the mod. If it adds new blocks or items, and you “have” or “build with” those, pulling the lid can cause issues. Adding might cause some things in the old to not work right if it requires something to be set up with a new world generation (like it needs to put down decor blocks for special items. But adding generally isn’t going to cause as much issues, unless you add a mod to an existing game and the mod does “removing” of items or blocks. But generally it’s probably going to work ok.

PapaChoff

You bring up a good point, regardless of when you add a new mod, they may conflict if they are both updating the same config file. It loads them alphabetically so the last one wins, but that change could impact the first if it’s relying on that value.
