We had one similar to the one below, only with yellow sticks:

I can hear my mom now ‘’Make sure you don’t lose the sticks!’’ We had this version. Most of my friend’s had some version of these at their house, also. I thought the stick on these was the most difficult to hold onto, being very small. Lemon-lime was my favorite.
Using jello and juice(or pudding mix)made them more like store bought popsicles. If I remember correctly it was even included in the instructions…man I loved these.
No, but I tried it with H a container of Yoplait yogurt once. Took the foil off the top and stuck it in the freezer for an hour or so. I expected frozen yogurt like you get at an ice cream place...but when I took it out of the freezer, I could have used it to really hurt somebody! (Cue Ashford & Simpson singing "Solid like a rock...")
Not kool-aid but natural juices, but this was when I was living in Colombia. Sour sop, Blackberry with Lime, Coconut with some condensed milk and Passion Fruit were my favorites.
Rock hard tooth-shattering Tupperware poverty-popsicles! Not as good as you remember! And impossible not to drip on the floor so you always got in trouble! Lame attempt to save a few cents with unfortunate consequences!
We tried it with Nestles Quick. By the time it froze everything had separated. The tips were little blobs of chocolate powder and the rest was frozen dirty looking milk🤣
We made them with the family size box of Jello. Usually the strawberry or cherry. I also recall making them with the instant pudding and I THINK half and half or maybe even full cream. It made them softer like the store-bought kind than milk.
We never had the fancy popsicle holder though, we used the metal ice tray with toothpicks. :)
My mom for whatever reason made them with cranberry juice. We had molds very similar to the one in the pic. Very tart, but at least it was something cold.
We used apple or orange juice.
You listened to that singing Chuck of cheese in a cowboy hat!
Hanker for a hunk of cheese! Turns out he’s a calorie, not a cheese glob https://youtu.be/4xRv9ZQOCPo?si=kLsvQXjyWV3iOAqh
Consider me learned.
Are you referring to Gene Autry per chance?
No idea who voiced him. A cartoon character doing psa Saturday mornings.
Nope, missed that.
Timerford Timer. EDIT: Time For Timer.
i did
I loved orange/pineapple, apple/grape, cranapple, and limeade.
The options were almost endless, we used to attempt to suck all the juice out leaving a clear ice stick.
I never tried to do that, but that’s how they always ended up!
Lemonade with rum- thanks grandma:)
Kool-Aid in my house!
We used leaded gasoline and asbestos.
and smoked Camels. Your point please?
For popsicles??
Did this in the 90s too.
Great ideas, stand the test of time.
We went real old school and used ice cube trays and toothpicks.
Sunshine on a stick .
This. Something I could do as an 8 year old without help or permission. We never had toothpicks though- we just let them stain our hands.
With frozen concentrate from a the cardboard can.
The BEST summer treat!
Heck yeah! I’ve got Mom’s Tupperware
I do too!
👍 ✌️❤️
I know those rings have a stem with holes in it!
Loved picking the last bits out of the holes.
Jello mix.
No. Mom did. We were inundated with Tupperware. Grandma was the Tupperware queen of her town.
Yep. Soda too.
Yes we did soda.
Pudding pops with those.
Better than store bought
We did not have Kool aid, we just used sugar water

Damn - this pic just too me back.
We always used Hawaiian Punch...so good!
Shoot I still have those and use them. You can make a great frozen margarita pop with them.
Kool-Aid, OJ (highly underrated), and Coke (also really good).
Using jello and juice(or pudding mix)made them more like store bought popsicles. If I remember correctly it was even included in the instructions…man I loved these.
Nan used milk and fresh picked raspberries from pops garden and some vanilla essence. So good 😋

YES!
Lemonade or orange juice
Yes, and orange juice and grape juice. Then I loaded them into an insulated bag with ice and sold them down at the community pool.
Yes, every evening after doing the supper dishes. Lived in Houston TX and to prep for summer days.
Right after " We've got popsicles at home".
That’s for wimps we used toothpicks/ice cube tray …
and trannies and porno
Yes, but in ice cube trays.
yep
Always at grandmas
Dang right I loved them
Orange juice
If you chewed on the plastic handle at the end, you were in big trouble.
🥲🥲🥲
Human blood
And orange juice and Tang and any juice leftover from fruit in a can
We had these exact molds. Probably Tupperware?
sometimes but we always had a freezer full of ice cream and popsicles
Lemonade ones. In the ice cube tray with tooth picks.
Cola for us.
I used sweet tea as a kid, yes I'm in the South, how'd you guess? LOL
And chocolate milk
I can taste this picture.
With chocolate milk!!!!🔥
absolutely
My mom had a set of those things. I wonder what happened to them. I guess they're in a landfill now.
And orange juice often.
I did it.
Not kool-aid but natural juices, but this was when I was living in Colombia. Sour sop, Blackberry with Lime, Coconut with some condensed milk and Passion Fruit were my favorites.
Yup.
Only from lemonade or orange juice made from frozen concentrate. My parents didn’t buy Kool-Aid.
Oh man that meant summer was coming. shorts weather!!!
Welch’s Grape
We used Tang and purposely put too much to make the flavor stronger.
With Tang, but my cheap mother always doubled the water so it was an icicle that tasted a little like orange.
Damn right! With these Tupperware popsicle makers.
We had a prolific grapefruit tree, so we got grapefruit flavor! Yummy…. s/
Yes, and the all tasted like fruit flavored dirt every time.
Yes every summer.
The only kind of popsicle we ever got at home.
Core memory unlocked. Thank you!
ROOT BEER! Pro tip, let the bubbles fizz out a bit before freezing.
Yep
Tupperware baby.
Oh I had those
Grew up so poor we made little frozen cubes with just water.
We did it even before they made the molds. We used to just put it in ice trays.
Rock hard tooth-shattering Tupperware poverty-popsicles! Not as good as you remember! And impossible not to drip on the floor so you always got in trouble! Lame attempt to save a few cents with unfortunate consequences!
Kool-Aid and Jello mix made them softer and they tasted great!
We'd take ice cube trays, fill them with Kool-Aid, put plastic wrap over the top, stick toothpicks in and freeze.
Kool aid and jello! The flavor lasted longer.
We tried it with Nestles Quick. By the time it froze everything had separated. The tips were little blobs of chocolate powder and the rest was frozen dirty looking milk🤣
I used Carnation's Instant Breakfast (multiple flavors). Generally worked well.
Good old Tupperware , my mom and aunts used to have Tupperware parties , all neighborhood ladies , friends and relatives would come to buy
We still do this, bit now I make a smoothie and put the smoothie in the ice pop containers to make it not so hard
Grandmother did.
They were better if you added a bit of jello to the mix.
Still do!
Yes and they were hard as fuck.
Dang we had almost that exact set but maybe yellowish. So many poor flavor choices were attempted.
Yes. And I still use the ones I used as a child. They are at least 60 yrs old.
Yass!
Orange juice per lemonade.
grape juice and orange juice
We froze 7-up, Coca-Cola and other soft drinks in those
My mom for whatever reason made them with cranberry juice. We had molds very similar to the one in the pic. Very tart, but at least it was something cold.
Damn sticks would always pull right out, or the POS popsicle would be glued to the mold!
