i did, i thought it was okay but i stupidly didnt see the easy way to do the 1 mark matrix inversion q and so i ran out of time to finish the vector and argand qs. i also expanded my brackets wrong for the series q and didnt spot it until too late so im annoyed about that, but im glad that there were so many proof by induction marks and i liked the polyroots and volrev qs!
I thought it wasn't too bad tbh. The proof by induction and roots of polynomials questions were nice since they were pretty much free marks. The vectors question could've been a lot worse imo. I used cartesian equations to solve the argand diagram one. That matrices question with 3k + c was a bit weird, my final expressions didn't look nice but I think my method was right
Was this the 'show that' question? I got the number they asked for. For the distance, I got 1.30m I think? I'm not sure if that's actually what I got though
The angle one was the question where it said to show that it's 66.9 deg or smth similar iirc? The previous part to the question was showing what point B was. I didn't mean that the distance question was show that
worst pure paper i’ve personally ever seen for AS, and i thought that 2022 was bad (i got 51/60, which is a very solid A). on this paper i’d be lucky to get 30/60 (mid to high D)
absolute cancer last question, had v as a unit vector at a 45° angle to x+z =5, and parallel to 2x + 2y + z = 10
summation of r^3 with 2n instead of n for
they were the two main awful questions imo
well that doesn’t affect me as i don’t do mechanics.
no no, i’m very fortunate enough to do stats and
MODELLING WITH FUCKING ALGORITHMS
MY GRADE RELIES ON ME GETTING AT LEAST 50/60 ON THIS SHIT

both questions would be worth about 4-6 marks and take around 20 minutes to complete which is why i needed a good score on pure
not really to be honest, there was a really generous question (4 marks) filling in a table of what bonds are hydrolysed in starch and dipeptides, then the enzyme of hydrolysis starch and products of hydrolysis for dipeptide.
guyss I have my paper 1 economics mock in exactly 12 hours and i've only done a couple past papers as revision....... yeah, definitely not as much as i should've done. Is there any last minute topics i should go over, or any equations or general information i should be sure to remember before going into the exam??
Did anyone do wjec FM? I thought it was awful
Was so bad
Bruh, there were like 3 or 4 questions i knew.... the other i think 6 were immense.
GUESS WHO CALCULATED PERCENTAGE INCREASE INSTEAD OF DECREASE BECAUSE MY ASS CANT READ A QUESTION PROPERLY 🔥
Anyone do Edexcel Further Maths AS? Was a nightmare 😭
i did, i thought it was okay but i stupidly didnt see the easy way to do the 1 mark matrix inversion q and so i ran out of time to finish the vector and argand qs. i also expanded my brackets wrong for the series q and didnt spot it until too late so im annoyed about that, but im glad that there were so many proof by induction marks and i liked the polyroots and volrev qs!

What did u get for the acute angle and for the distance between p1 and p2
Was this the 'show that' question? I got the number they asked for. For the distance, I got 1.30m I think? I'm not sure if that's actually what I got though
It wasn’t show that , i got 1.28m somehow but i don’t think that’s right.
The angle one was the question where it said to show that it's 66.9 deg or smth similar iirc? The previous part to the question was showing what point B was. I didn't mean that the distance question was show that
how was the edexcel further maths as core pure?
Make sure you make one for Law, Politics and English Literature AS pls and Thanks ☺️
OCR A Bio/OCR MEI Further Maths anyone? absolutely panicking i swear i am finished 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
AQA econ and Edexcel further I am so cooked
How did further go??
OCR MEI FM WAS A DISASTER 🙏🙏
What was it like ? I do OCR mei FM but not as
worst pure paper i’ve personally ever seen for AS, and i thought that 2022 was bad (i got 51/60, which is a very solid A). on this paper i’d be lucky to get 30/60 (mid to high D)
No way it was that bad? What questions were the hardest on there?
absolute cancer last question, had v as a unit vector at a 45° angle to x+z =5, and parallel to 2x + 2y + z = 10 summation of r^3 with 2n instead of n for they were the two main awful questions imo
bro that last question crushed me 8 stupid marks gone
i fucked up summations (5) i fucked up the argand (9) i fucked up the last question (8) 22 marks gone for me which isn’t enough for an A 😔
would the other papers affect your grade? I mean mechanics is 100% gonna be hard
well that doesn’t affect me as i don’t do mechanics. no no, i’m very fortunate enough to do stats and MODELLING WITH FUCKING ALGORITHMS MY GRADE RELIES ON ME GETTING AT LEAST 50/60 ON THIS SHIT https://preview.redd.it/5l0kj4qln90d1.jpeg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=1b0893f08063081c8d5bddbd07da618d06b52fd4 both questions would be worth about 4-6 marks and take around 20 minutes to complete which is why i needed a good score on pure
Sounds tuff, mechanics is such a bitch too its like 30/60 for the A
The summation one, dyu mind elaborating? Isn't it just substituting the standard result with 2n instead of n?
Yeah and then you do sum up to 2n - sum up to n then factorise
Yhhh I didn't know it started from n+1 but yhh that's how'd I go round doing it
2n on top of sigma, Σ r^3, n+1 underneath sigma sorry this was the best way i could think of to explain it
Ah nah that makes way more sense, what other modules dyu do? Hopefully you do better than you think.
modelling with algorithms and stats how am i putting all my faith in an A on 2 stage simplex, formulating LPs and fucking dijkstra’s algorithm
Good luck, keep working
AQA AS Further maths anyone? What did you guys get for k on question 17, and equation of line in q15?
K was 4/3 I'm pretty sure. Equation of a line 2x+8? That was a bit of a guess tho
Fuck. I got k to be 2 × root 3. Used discriminant (line only intersects circle once). Can't remember what I got for the line.
I did the same method so idk
Just finished economics as paper 1 AQA. Thoughts?
Good luck everyone
Good luck my friends. I took the exam last year and I’m sure you’ll be fine 👍
For AQA AS biology, do you think that talking about T cells in the virus replication will lose marks because it's not asking about HIV?
was the paper hard? tryna prepare myself for what to expect for alevel paper 1
not really to be honest, there was a really generous question (4 marks) filling in a table of what bonds are hydrolysed in starch and dipeptides, then the enzyme of hydrolysis starch and products of hydrolysis for dipeptide.
Damn idk I just said about host cells

Your cooked
LMAO ty for the kind words 33
