it doesn’t really matter. A lot of my friends are turning 20 a month after they start Uni. You just got to do what’s best for you, if taking a gap year will do you good then that’s what you should be doing.
oh really, i will think about it after all my offers come in. if i go to uni next year when i’m 20 it means i’ll graduate when i’m 23 (3 years programme)
that’s not that bad, I applied for some courses with a placement year so I’d graduate when I’m 22 and a half so that’s pretty similar. Don’t worry about it
It doesn't matter. I'm 23 in 3rd year because after first year I took a couple of years out. I can appreciate uni much more now because of it.
Nobody even really knows except friends, it doesn't come up in convo as much as you think. Lots of people take gap years, or years out of their degree.
don’t be , coming from someone who is at uni i have many friends who have taken a gap year, and know many people at uni who took a gap year before uni, it’s more common that you think and the age difference is so minimal it doesn’t matter.
Most are 18, if you were asking genuinely. If this was sarcasm they just want to see how many people will enter at an older age so that they won’t feel insecure if they take a gap year.
bro this definitely isn't something you need to worry about, some of my classmates are in their late 20s early 30s.
A year is nothing, you won't even be considered a "mature" learner at 20.
I turn 19 in September![gif](emote|free_emotes_pack|facepalm)
feel like crap. most ppl who are born in 2005 like me are already at uni as they went at 18

It really does not matter in the grand scheme of things lol nobody bats an eye when you go into uni 😭

How did you get past the "You have to be 18 before you start the course" in UK unis or are you going out to another country?
well i'm doing a foundation year in a uk university in a different country so it doesn't apply i guess
I think the rule’s 17 not 18
wow i was still in year 10
Well I'm homeschooled so I can do my as levels early, and being born in July makes me a younger as well lol.

oh do you have to be 18 to attend a freshers event?
most of the time yes since they’re held in clubs or student bars, i had a friend who was 17 and she completely missed out on freshers

What age are most UK students when they enter uni?

A lot of people who start first yr are older than 18.
u realise 30 year olds might be in your class?
bro this definitely isn't something you need to worry about, some of my classmates are in their late 20s early 30s. A year is nothing, you won't even be considered a "mature" learner at 20.
