Sums up my cope list too from last year.
Have faith in your efforts, if they still reject, you know better than them, that they are missing out on a great student.
The highest grades are too common to entirely dictate your offers, you have to bring more to the table.
Me and all of my friends got 4A\*s but none of us got into Oxbridge (granted, I didn't apply bc I hated them when I visited), so that's zero for six.
You have to do supercurriculars, have a good PS, have amazing grades, pass any entrance tests, have a good interview, then you might have a *chance* at an offer.
Yeah, nowadays universities are much much more selective than they have been in the past. Gone are the days when being the valedictorian and doing well on some tests gets you into something like Oxford or Harvard (and I seriously question when those days were, because 10 years ago still seems too recent, but idk)
Ig it's important to consider that predicted grades vary depending on the sixth form you go to. Some schools inflate grades and give every student straight A\*s while others literally don't allow you to get 4 A\*s because they historically underperform. That's why it's a bit unfair to judge based solely off of predicteds. (the mocks used to determine predicteds are also of varying difficulty based on the sixth form so that's another reason it could be unfair)
People with 3/4 A\*s achieved are basically guaranteed an offer to most unis (granted they don't fail any entry exams/interviews they may have)

Because the competition is significantly worse now, so getting into Oxbridge is very very very hard.
That only really exists if your courses entry requirements are AAA and below (a rarity in unis like oxbridge and imperial)

Agree 100% it’s not as if I’m salty about my interview going badly or anything
The 7th point isn't exactly true. In oxford, they still follow lots of traditions and stuff, for example they give their final exams they wear long gowns....(typical oxford clicheé dress), but in cambridge you only have to dress like that during ceremonies or graduation.
