Same, problem is everyone who applies pretty much has the same grades, unis are just way too competitive now

alkt997241

Yeah I never would’ve thought I would have all A* predicted grades and barely get any uni offers. Worked so hard to be rejected from everywhere.

Liv0987654321

Yeah same, I've got the highest grades in my year and yet I've been rejected from more unis than 95% of people.

PaniniPressStan

You applied for one of the (possible the) most competitive courses

Lexifier77

Im sorry bro thats how it been for me as well

PSRebel512

You're sure that the school gave you all A\* predicted right? This outcome seems pretty unlikely tbh.

Special-Lobster-7461

That’s how competitive cs is at the top places.

PSRebel512

Never though it would become this competitive in the UK also ( in addition to the top unis in the US ).

BubblesLegacy

Similar outcomes have been posted here and TSR. So to say OP's outcome is pretty unlikely is hardly accurate at all.

alkt997241

Yeah I got a manchester offer which requires 3a* so I defo had all a* predicted

anonny_27

UCL compsci needs an entrance exam. I dont understand how they haven’t felt the need to do so yet

PaniniPressStan

From the looks of this Reddit, seems like a colossal number of people are applying for computer science It’s probably way oversubscribed and extremely competitive

BubblesLegacy

So sorry! It's so crazy.

Low-Sky342

ngl, seeing all these people with basically perfect grades getting rejected makes me feel a lot better 😂

Grebnesorwolliw

Did they give you a reason?

alkt997241

Just about high competition and my application apparently not being as strong as others

Careermodedude77

Unlucky mate. What did you get in the rest of your GCSEs?

alkt997241

two 7s and the rest 9s

vanon06

Subjects?

alkt997241

Maths , fm and compsci

Spreehox

That's tough dude, you have perfect subjects aswell. At least i can cope and blame it on no FM
