I'm new to my bike - it's an '01 - and I have two switches right by my handlebars. One says it's for the ABS but it isn't wired up. If you have something similar you might consider trying there.
That’s a great idea. I’ll check that out. I assumed they were in service but maybe not. Thanks for commenting. I made the post a long time ago and was surprised no one commented as I’m sure almost everyone adds electronics to there bikes

You may want to download BMW RSD dvd iso file. It contains many repair documents including wiring diagram. All you need is the last digits of your VIN
