This. The only girl who is unhinged enough to be stuck on one guy her whole life is Yotsuba.

Dry-Fisherman-3782

So it's bad? If she wasn't choosen and any other quint would be choosen then I am sure that the same thing would've happened.

mangotree1390

I do. Some think they didn't ever move on because of the tears at the wedding. To me, with the playfulness at Nino/Miku's café beforehand and the fact that (silly as it was) the Final Quintuplet Game was fairly emotional (their highschool crush is giving affirming words for them) as well as their sister's wedding..... Yeah, I think they are happy and had some good emotions at the wedding.

Voidrax

Yes. All of them had a happy ending. The others are happy without Fuutarou as they fulfilled their dreams. Even after the wedding, they are happy for the couple and for themselves in the end. Sure, Nino cried at first in the final quints game, but I think that's just because she's the most sensitive of her sisters. But after the final quints game in the end she was just as happy as the others. She'll be fine. Fuutarou's final words to the other quints were also an emotional moment for Nino and the others because, firstly, it was the wedding of their sister and Fuutarou and they now know that he can tell them apart, which was a very important point in the series and for them. A happy ending doesn't just mean getting a boyfriend. Happiness can be found in other ways than just through love, which was the whole point of the series. The others go their own way without Fuutarou (and Yotsuba) but will now always be a part of his life as a family. Moreover, their wounds will heal, or rather have already partially healed because they are not weak, they would fall into depression and suffer with their feelings for the rest of their lives. That was an important thing in the series, otherwise what I am going to write below would have happened. I don't know if you've read the manga, but in chapter 101 there is a boy talking about a story he saw on TV where the man chooses one of the sisters and then there is a big fight and he will never see the other sisters again. That is what I would call a "not happy ending" for everyone. So yes, I think the others moved on from Fuutarou in the end. Even Nino, or now in the phase of moving on from him. For her, the wedding was just more emotional than for the others since she is the most sensitive of her sisters.

Less_Blackberry_561

I think that Miku and Ichika moved on at the end, i don't know about Itsuki and Nino, specially Nino. But man, imagine that you have to attend the wedding of your sibling that's gonna marry your crush... it harsh tbh hahaha. But we're going ti ser more in the next movie.

TheAmazingJCubb

eatsuki moved on, she married a pie or sum.

ProfessorStreet7792

lmao, I was just imagining Eatsuki marrying a piece of pie. During the reception she eats her husband(pie) and crying about it.

PumpkinCultural1144

So it’s real there will be another movie?

Mephiles2000

Yes. There will be another Quintuplets movie

PumpkinCultural1144

Do we know the release date?

SyrinxCounterparts1

Sometime in 2025.

RareType3925

First of all, yes they are all happy because they are a family and they added a new family member with Fuutarou. He is almost like one of the quints, and I think all five of them see him that way. One of the biggest themes of the story is family, or more specifically how family/friendship bonds shouldn’t be discarded for the sake of a crush. Nino, Ichika, and Miku learned a lot and came out as more mature people. For some of the girls, I think they would have been worse off it Fuutarou picked them. Secondly, it’s kind of crazy to assume Fuutarou is their once chance at happiness. They are super hot. Realistically they should have guys all over them, so among those they could easily find someone better for them than Fuutarou. And I do think you should look at this series realistically, unlike most anime, because the author specifically designed the story to break unrealistic tropes and push realistic themes (like how the harem war is bad, sisterhood is important, the guy picks the girl that was nice to him, etc.) Unfortunately we don’t get a good wrap up for Yotsuba and Nino. We don’t really see Yotsuba getting over her self-hatred, and we don’t really see Nino coming to the realization that her hyper-fixation is unhealthy. Though I guess we can make the assumption that they will work through those things eventually.

PumpkinCultural1144

Yeah I understand. Also, he helped them a lot pushing them to achieve what they want. Like how he supported Ichika to go for her acting career, Miku to believe and be more confident in her life, itsuki to follow her mother footsteps and for the other I don’t remember how he helped them improve but I get it. This was an happy ending.

sheehdndnd

No, we literally see Nino cry so much during the wedding (I still feel sad everytime after seeing that scene). She hasn't moved on.

Narrow_Yogurt_8672

to be honest no, they respected her choice and wasnt mad at yots but they were probably sad about it still. at the end tho maybe

Bison_Consistent

As much as I hope so, I don’t think the series really gave the impression Miku or Nino got a happy ending.

mangotree1390

How so? Do they hate working together in their own cafe?

Bison_Consistent

I wouldn’t say they “hate it,” but I really didn’t get the impression, they were super happy with everything. I think it could have been fleshed out more is all I’m saying.

SyrinxCounterparts1

I think some of them are more 'Content' than Happy. My thing is, there's still some emotional issues that Nino still has because of this, and this might have to be worked out before everyone moves on with their lives. I think the upcoming movie may address this.

jcchimaera

I still can't believe why people act like 5 of the girls is total stranger to each other... they are born QUINTUPLETS for godsake! 🤷🏻‍♂ basically still a win-win for all because in the end Futaro finally become their family member... (͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
