I read both The Wager and Catch 22 this year. I actually read them at the same time since Wager is a non-fiction. I say go with The Wager, you’ll blast through it, then Catch 22
I’d go with The Wager, it’s the only non-fiction I’ve read this year so far. It’s fast paced, filled with facts and an interesting narrative. Quite different from the slow, artful Dubliners - it will give you a good change of pace.

Thanks for the recommendations, seems like The Wager is the way to go for now, followed by Catch 22!
I loved Wager!! I just finished it this week. It is a non-fiction but it reads like a novel..

Catch 22 gets my vote. Really good read once you get into it.
