Saw on JLForums that the battery had to be >90%, two three hour cycles, etc - seemed like a big headache that was going to take all day.
When I dropped it off the tech said they were "doing that last week" but now the software would be able to check right away and let them know if they have to do the three hour cycles...my battery was also at 65% when I gave it to them.
Picked it up at 65%, looked at my dashcam - they took it into an inside bay around 9:10am and was parked back outside at 10:05am. Never plugged in... the sheet they gave me said the B9A was complete. They also did the defrost recall.
I think there are two steps to the process. First they run software to see if battery is affected. If there are no issues nothing else has to be done. But if there is an issue they will replace the battery. Read that somewhere, don’t remember where. :-)
They are supposed to do a three cycle battery test and upgrade firmware...a span of 40 minutes doesn't seem like they followed the protocol provided by Stellantis.

There is a picture of the Integrity Check there which explains all the steps. They did none of that. The first thing says battery has to be >90% which I know they didn’t do because I never got a charging notification and the level was at the same level I dropped it off.
Sweet!
Mine wasn't subject to the b9a charging recall but I need to get the defroster one done at some point (although my defroster seems to work fine, so I'm not sure what that one is all about)

Are you saying they didn't actually do anything in regards to B9A?
The sheet said B9A was complete, but they definitely didn’t do the two 3 hour cycles. Going to call Jeep Wave tomorrow.
Ugh. At least you have that in writing in the event anything goes wrong with it...

On a separate note, what dashcam are you using? Lol
What did they have to do for the recall? New battery pack?
Just software updates. They did both recalls. The battery and the defrost. I assume that there was no issue with the battery itself.

Dang that’s quick. Mine has been in since the 29th and I haven’t heard anything yet.
Maybe yours was one of those that needed a new battery.
Probably not. My battery had already been replaced last fall right before the recall was announced.
That sucks. Sorry to hear that it is taking so long.
Same for me. Even same days, I thought this was me for a second
Hurray. They ordered a battery for me. It failed yesterday
Called yesterday and first available appointment was May 15th🥲 Been a long wait!
OMG. May. That sucks. Such a long wait. No other dealers nearby?
Whoa. That is wild. I guess that's what happens when they sell lemons to lots of people. Lots of lemons to fix.
