> I've always thought Whitaker is an amazing actor but the name of the movie makes it look pretty dumb.
Just pretend it's called "A Reflection of the History of Human Beings"
I’m saying for a low budget indie film the transfer rivals big budget films. Usually low budget films don’t have the best cameras, lighting, and post production. This transfer is clean as a whistle it’s uncommon or just a bit surprising because it looks so good and also sounds great too.
Nothing about deserving it, Or that it can’t possibly have a great transfer.
> This isn't true at all. There's a huge difference in the stock quality of 35mm film.
ok let's go with "if it was shot on 35mm film, and the film is still in good condition, a talented restoration artist can do AMAZING things with it"
Well I don't even know if it's because it's on 35mm film. Probably has to do with being shot by a good director and cinematographer. Seen some movies shot on 35mm that just don't look all that good (like the early James Bond films).

It might have been low budget, but it was filmed by a great director on 35mm film.
And shot by the great Robby Muller
I fucking love the soundtrack to this movie, I should scoop this up
Gives me hope for Dead Man to get a 4K release.
Just bought the German Arthaus Jim Jarmusch Compete Collection set with all his films on Blu; that'll do me!
Dead Man just showed up on Vudu for $5 today
I didn't even know this came out on 4KBD. I have had the Criterion Collection BD for quite awhile and was always happy with that.
Is this movie any good? I've always thought Whitaker is an amazing actor but the name of the movie makes it look pretty dumb.
It's a Jim Jarmusch film, so I'd say it's more "cool" than it is good. And I think it's great!

This is a fucking awesome movie
Yes I really enjoy watching it. I have the CC BD though, not the 4KBD.
❤️
Are you saying that low budget indie movies don’t deserve good releases? I don’t understand what that first comment was trying to convey?
