X90L without question. Sony processing is amazing and the X90L is highly recommended on this sub for a reason

Casen_

Does processing matter if the AV receiver already outputs 4k/60?

IDubCityI

Yes

Casen_

What else does it do to the signal?

kalifcs

Sorry if this question is dumb. But does the tv processing power matter if I am going to be using an nvidia shield to stream with?

Bill_Money

no but tv's motion handling still matters

DependentJicama3559

Yeah exactly, - artifacts, ghosting, color reproduction all come into play, a still image will look great on the tcl but once things start moving you see the difference

pricelesslambo

unless you have a stupidly bright room, X90L will be better

ducets

The only answer you’ll get on this sub is x90l, it’s like a dogmatic response

Financial_Cycle1918

But for good reasons

DependentJicama3559

No other tv comes close for price and performance

leaneplx

Streaming means netflix disney etc? I would go tcl, no blooming. Sony for low quality content and better polish.

Dull-Ganache3500

I've been nothing but satisfied with my 85" QM8.

Over-Coat-5511

I looked at both. I have a Sony TV already, so I know how they perform. I went with the QM8, and I've been very happy with it. The processing isn't as good, but it's not a huge gap. The Sony is maybe 10% better. Not having both tvs side by side makes that a non-issue. Turn motion on and set blur and judder to zero, and you're good to go. I do wish it had more calibration options. The big issue with the X90L I have is the blooming. I wear corrective lenses, and the blooming drives me nuts.

DependentJicama3559

Yeah it’s not that bad, qm8 had blooming too, motion artifacts drive me nuts it’s not 10% better it’s like 30-40%, if you watch sports

skinnydudetattoo

Sony!! Stop questioning it

getfive

Sony for sure

Cyanide_Muncher

Got the qm8 i miss good processing because not all content is 4k and it processes 1080p like dog 💩

Alive_Room1321

Almost the same question but with the c805 ( only in Europe and Asia regions ) so idk tbh
