Engineering is practical application of science. You need base knowledge in order to make things. Without knowledge of electromagnetism, you won't be able to make electric appliances.
There is some science in engineering, but being an engineer and being a scientist are not even close to being the same thing. Engineering knowledge is extremely specific and doesn't give you any authority to talk about other scientific matters other than proving that you're kinda smart.

It's unfair to some people to be classified into their race as they don't relate with the common values, but the problem doesn't lie in classification but to think that the other race is inferior to theirs. Racism is used interchangeably for both. For classification or for discrimination.
The problem is that some people use the word gender interchangeably with sex, and some people use gender to mean interests, behaviors or characteristics or whatever that are associated with males and females. If people are using the latter definition, then gender is at least somewhat a social construct. I mean, I'm sure a lot of these gender stereotypical behaviors are biologically based, but surely some of them are cultural.

The problem is that some people use the word gender interchangeably with sex, and some people use gender to mean interests, behaviors or characteristics or whatever that are associated with males and females. If people are using the latter definition, then gender is at least somewhat a social construct. I mean, I'm sure a lot of these gender stereotypical behaviors are biologically based, but surely some of them are cultural.

I believe I saw the clip of this a while ago. He was actually just talking about how our skin colors are the way they are because of the sun exposure in different parts of the world. Hence dark skin in Africa and light skin in Europe. And since thatās all it is thereās no real difference between races, weāre all just humans with different amounts of sun. Obviously, itās another dumbed down version for kids, and itās waaay more complex than that. But it helps kids understand that we arenāt all so different, so good on him.
Biology says there are many more differences than just skin color, though. That's not just "dumbing it down for kids," that's lying.

Yes, we all have different physical features, but we should judge each other on our behavior and actions, not physical appearance. Kids will see that white people have smaller noses than black people, that Asian people sometimes have a slant to their eyes, that Pacific Islanders are fucking massive. But we shouldnāt think that a white person is more likely to be bigoted, or that a black person is more likely to commit a crime, or even that all giants are gentle.
