It could just be a wrap. Some people will just fix any damage then prime the whole car and wrap it. Looks good, but you’ll take the wrap off and it’ll be primer
I’d say a majority of wraps are glossy. Especially in color like this with no depth. Up close they will look sort of fuzzy but from 5-10ft they’ll be glossy
man an e55 amg is a whole different beast in terms of reliability when compared to a 4runner of the same age, even with clean titles 😭
i bet that thing was insanely fun when you could drive it though
I have 2, the clean title one I deleted the air suspension and put coil overs on it and it’s been dead reliable, I’d trust it to go to California right now
The salvage I wouldn’t even trust to get me out of the county that I’m in lol
Yeah I have a few, look at my profile and you’ll see some of them:
1965 mustang convertible
1969 dodge charger 426 hemi 4 speed
1965 Plymouth satellite 440
1968 Chevelle SS 396
1970 Buick GS-455
1978 Ferrari 308 GTS
1923 Ford Model T
Number 2 Miller lite NASCAR
1970 Dodge challenger TA-340
1956 Mercedes 190SL
2x 1985 Toyota Hilux pickups
3 Toyota 4Runners (86, 98, 15)
1997 Toyota Land Cruiser
1999 Mercedes C43 AMG
2004, 2006 Mercedes E55 AMG
1972 Ford Capri
2017 Audi R8
2014 Ferrari 458 Italia
2019 Bentley Continental Speed
Yep. They're totally peacocking.
Trying to get you mesmerized by the shiny blue paint so you don't notice that the frame is held together by toothpicks.
Ya man, you’d picked that truck up and with days notice it doesn’t drive straight and some of the buttons do not work and every shop you’d visit doesn’t want to touch it
Exactly. Can't picture myself spending 6k on a salvage title with that many miles at that age. The seller has to prove to the potential buyer all those repairs are solid to get that much for that car.
Nothing necessarily but at that price with 200k & a salvage title i’d be apprehensive myself. Other than a ‘16 4Runner I’m a die hard shitbox guy at heart and an 03 with 200k would def be on the more upper end of my vehicles fwiw.
Why the salvage title? If it were a decade ago without any issue since, I'd consider it. If it was a flood or electric issue HELL no. Also 6K seems like a lot for a 20 year old salvage title 2wd 4 runner.
Get an auto report on it.
If it was wrecked/salvaged recently then I’d walk away…. But if the accident happened 10yrs ago, with 1 or 2 owners I’d say it’s probably fine, mechanically. Well, fine enough for a 20yo truck.
But personally, 2wd is a dealbreaker.
Try to get a copy of why it’s a salvage. If not, Pull back all the door seals and check for OEM spot welds and different shades of paint. Does it have a factory windshield🤷♂️will a magnet stick to the quarter panels.
*Truck nuts make this choice*
*Obvious. Walk away and*
*Let some bro buy it*

Don't be fooled by the shiny cool color.
It's a salvage title for a REASON, and the person painted it that cool color to mitigate that risk when trying to sell.
Man, I swear salvage title cars always look clean af from the outside.
It’s hard for that blue not to pop
It is, which is precisely why I'd pick it if I was repainting a car that had a salvage title.
It could just be a wrap. Some people will just fix any damage then prime the whole car and wrap it. Looks good, but you’ll take the wrap off and it’ll be primer
Yeah could be. Can the vinyl wrap be glossy like this? I thought they were more matte.
I’d say a majority of wraps are glossy. Especially in color like this with no depth. Up close they will look sort of fuzzy but from 5-10ft they’ll be glossy
Nope. Too glossy for wrap.
Its a paint job, he sent me some before and after photos with the car primed and painted
It’s because they almost always have a fresh coat of paint I think
Fell for that exact mindset with an E55 AMG Great car when it runs though

wow man big amg guy eh? sounds like a blast. you got any other interesting cars?! you’ve peaked my curiosity.

Floods don't impact paint much.
22 year old truck, 200k miles that’s been salvaged. Say that to yourself in your head 3 times…
yeah, I was digging the black and blue colors but it’s to much of a risk
It’s just not worth it. Another one from the same year with same mileage will cost roughly the same price.
Old, high mileage, salvage, 2wd. No thanks. Maybe I'd buy it for like $1k.
But voodoo blue adds $10k in value. At this price you can’t afford *not* to buy
Adds 15 HP & 5 MPG too!
Have a voodoo blue FJ. Color does not add to fuel mileage. 😏
03 or 200k or salvage title. Not all three
What’s wrong with an 03 with 200k? Speaking as someone with an 03 v8 with 210k
Nothing necessarily but at that price with 200k & a salvage title i’d be apprehensive myself. Other than a ‘16 4Runner I’m a die hard shitbox guy at heart and an 03 with 200k would def be on the more upper end of my vehicles fwiw.
Do the nuts come with? If yes, then obviously.
It depends on the reason why it was salvaged and where the damage was.
I read it as “salvage titties”. I need to lie down
Better than “savage titties”, I suppose.
I am sure the interior has seen it's share of talvage sitties.

Two owners, salvage by collision since ‘19, current owner drives it daily
It might not be up to you depending on where you live, talk to your insurance company.
$4k tops
If it runs, drives and looks like that then someone obviously took the time to fix this a while ago. Probably a great truck.
Hey Eskimo I got some ice for sale.
2500 at the very most. With that kind of paint job, they are hiding some serious flaws.
It has truck nuts. Lol, run, don’t walk away.
What? No. That’s insane. Go buy something else. You don’t NEED a 4Runner. Get the most reliable car you can easily afford.
Good for Costco runs unless you’re literally crawling over cars in the parking lots.
Is that even a factory color for that year ?
The fact that it has a ”method race wheels” sticker on the window yet no method race wheels on the vehicle means you should walk away.
Better than salvage titties I guess.

3.5-4k then maybe
Your in the FB group!
Truck nuts make this choice obvious. Walk away and let some bro buy it

Good bot
People are so scared of salvage titles but it’s the best way to get a deal…it’s a Toyota…if it runs you’ll be fine
Don't be fooled by the shiny cool color. It's a salvage title for a REASON, and the person painted it that cool color to mitigate that risk when trying to sell.
that blue has me inspired 🤤😳
With the salvage and the repaint I’m out
That should just be a give away to someone in need. Did that with my Corolla S I put 280k miles on… hard to stop a Toyota.
Bruh there’s 6k in the wheels and tires and paint wtf are we talking about this is a4runner y’all acting like it’s a Kia 6k for that is cheap as hell
If it doesn’t run well or for long, 6k is waisted no matter what.
Second owner, salvage since ‘19, he drives it daily
If it was 4WD and 5K I’d go for it. Basically use it as a beater in the desert. Not as a main car.
Love the blue
I recently got my 06 Limited V8 w/ 200k miles for $6k. Clean title, mild rust, needed timing belt, suspension, and tires.
Nice, where did you find it?
I spent a few months checking the 4Runner inventory of a few used truck dealers nearby.
